We believe in the possibilities in you! The Office of Student Life and Leadership Development is the heart of all student activities, organizations and student-sponsored events. Our goal is to enrich your time at MCC and help you develop your full potential. We coordinate events and conferences, offer workshops on various topics, conduct leadership training, and implement many other activities designed to help you shine!

liFe-AlTeRinG opportunities“Being mentored by the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development was the best decision I’ve ever made. Their programs helped me develop leadership and other vital skills, which opened all kinds of opportunities at MCC and beyond.

While working toward my A.A. degree in Business Administration, I got involved in some great on-campus activities, and my leadership skills helped me gain executive positions in several: Vice President/Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society; Vice President/Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights Project; Committee Chair/Water for Sudan. I was also named to the All-USA Community College Academic Team.

Those accomplishments helped me win the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence and land a great internship which will give me invaluable experience for pursuing my Bachelor of Arts in Marketing at RIT.

There are more than 60 clubs and organizations that support interests of all kinds – cultural, social, professional, creative, recreational and political.

Getting involved in on-campus activities isn’t only enjoyable, it can also give you huge advantages in the job market and when applying to other colleges to continue your education. Employers are looking for well-rounded people who can communicate effectively, interact on teams, and understand different points of view. Those are the kind of skills active involvement teaches. Our campus is alive with exciting activities, clubs, organizations, cultural and

sports events. The best way for you to be successful and enjoy your time at MCC

Our Leadership Education And Development (LEAD) Program helps you explore and enhance your leadership abilities. By working with other students, faculty, staff and community leaders, you’ll learn how to maximize your potential.

If you want to kick it up a notch, enroll in the LEAD Program. You’ll gain invaluable knowledge and real-world experience that will benefit you in your studies at MCC and beyond, as well as in the job market.

Leadership is a sense of being. It’s the ability to engage

company to a successful year or getting your kids to make

their beds, effective leadership is essential in life.
