Objectives
2 |
The following statistics have been submitted by the 4 currently active onshore seismic acquisition contractors, and represent Australian onshore seismic activity. Please note that these statistics are incomplete, and as such, are still a work in progress.
In order to protect the individual companies, the data is aggregated to provide an industry datum
The objective of Land SurveySAFE is to encourage all members to continually improve their safety performance, with these statistics being used as a guide to help focus attention to those areas within seismic operations that pose the greatest risk.

Safety Alerts / Incident Advice Distribution
This is an issue for all groups at the moment. The following is a safety flash from the Marine Safety Forum (non-Seismic ) The Marine SurveySAFE group is already investigating the idea of setting up a similar template and sending out incident advice and lessons learned to the wider membership. The feeling is that this would assist in maintaining momentum and increasing the relevance of SurveySAFE.
