NEEDS ASSESSMENTThis course is designed to change physician competence in practice and in patient outcomes. The UC Davis Department of Radiology is pleased to offer this diagnostic radiology course featuring a broad range of topics relevant for the radiologist and radiology technologist. Emphasis will be on newer MRI and CT imaging techniques in different anatomical regions of the body. As a result of course participant evaluations and community physician annual needs assessment surveys, the need for cutting edge information about relevant topics in diagnostic imaging has been identified. This course is knowledge based and is designed to assess the uses of imaging modalities that are applicable to the clinical practice of the target audience. Presentations are designed to change physician performance and will emphasize new modalities and techniques in the areas of MRI, CT, PET, CTA, MDCT, and HRCT. This year’s 4-day course will specifically address these identified educational needs and provide practitioners with state-of-the-art tools. This conference will assist those who image multiple areas of the body and need to remain current in various technological advances to provide improved treatment options for their patients. Faculty presenting and interacting with participants at this activity have been selected on the basis of their comprehensive clinical experience and academic excellence.
