That would be the Palladium in Carmel. We enjoyed a guided tour of this fabulous building on July 14. Our tour leader was John Hughey, who told us all about the theater and especially its per- fect acoustics. It is one beautiful building, inside and out. The Carmel Farmer’s Market was in full swing on the lawn, and some of us admired the produce before our tour. Donnie Lucas, how was that sweet corn? From the Palladium, we made our way either by car or on foot on the Monon Trail to Bub’s Burgers and Ice Cream. Bub stands for big ugly burger. We had excellent food and service at this fun place. After lunch we took another short walk to the Museum of Miniature Houses. Docent Dorinda Dick gave us an orientation, and one of the founders, Suzanne Landshof, was on hand to talk more about her passion. Did you notice the tiny Ford brochure on the chair of one of the minia- ture houses? They must have known we were coming! Many thanks to Judy and John Gersting for planning this fun EBOH outing. Several of us are looking forward to our August event, the CTCI convention in Memphis, TN, Au- gust 21-25. You can register your car through July 21. The convention is inside at the Memphis con- vention center. so don’t let the summer heat keep you away. Jan and Joe Baker are planning our September 15th meeting at their trailer in Vevay, conveniently located next to the tasting room of the Ridge Win- ery. There are lots of things to do that day, includ- ing the Vevay car show. Jan is arranging our din- ner at the tasting room. Look for more details in this and next month’s newsletter. Our president, Gail Wilfing, and her husband Greg are working on the October outing, an overnight event at Auburn. Gail gave us a brief outline of the many activities we’ll be enjoying.
