Image Signal Processing Technology

• Image Signal Processing (ISP) Technology: Including automatic exposure, automatic white balance, auto

focus, color correction and gamma correction, WDR,

3D DNR (digital noise reduction) and low-light

illumination, which makes the image sharp and clear.

• Image Pre-process Technology: Process on the raw video data with noise reduction, image enhancement

and anti-vibration, which enhances compression.

• Image Post-process Technology: Process on the decoded video with de-blocking, sharpening and

enhancement, which makes the video more

streamlined, vivid and clear.

World-Class Technologies

Page 14: 2012 Hikvision Introduction

• Hikvision invests abundant resources in BSP, RTOS

(Device Drivers, Device I/O, Networking Protocols, File

System...) and Application, and established

collaboration lab with Texas Instruments.

• The main operation system includes VxWorks and

embedded Linux.

World-Class Technologies

Embedded System Technology

Page 15: 2012 Hikvision Introduction

Streaming Media Network Transmission &

Control Technology

• Support RTSP, RTP/RTCP.

• Device data and central-stored data on demand.

• Support forward and distribute of the real-time stream,

which can effectively save the bandwidth.

• Support QoS.

• Support 200-channel 4CIF streams in single server.

World-Class Technologies

Page 16: 2012 Hikvision Introduction

Audio/Video Data Storage Technology

• Data Pre-location Technology: Prevent the disk fragment generated by deleting the video data, which

can be used to increase the efficiency of the hard drive

usage, as well as to ensure the system stability in long-

term operation.

• Using FAT32, which is compatible with Windows.

• Applying Frozen Protection Technology in the crucial

information area of the hard drive to ensure the integrity

of the data and the system.

• S.M.A.R.T Technology to check the hard drive status periodically, and automatically alert while the hard

drive is in error or in malfunction, which highly secures

the video data for the users.

• Advanced hard drive management technology, such as multi-HDDs power-on delay and hibernating non-

functioning hard drive, which can be used to prolong

the life of the hard drives.

World-Class Technologies

Page 17: 2012 Hikvision Introduction

Video Analysis & Pattern Recognition Technology

• Video Analytics Technology: Obtaining object profiles by background analysis, object detection, object

tracking and categorization, and then automatically

detect and alert while abnormal events occur in order

to increase the efficiency of the video surveillance

system.

• Pattern Recognition Technology: By extracting the features of the object in the video and matching to the

database, license plate recognition and facial

recognition can be achieved.

World-Class Technologies

Page 18: 2012 Hikvision Introduction

Audio/Video Encoding & Decoding Technology

• Leading Audio/Video Compression Technology: Advanced H.264 technology to save storage space and

efficient network transmission; Hikvision products are all

capable of MPEG4/MPEG2/MJPEG/AVS and G7xx, as

well as MPEG Audio encoding and decoding technology,

which can satisfy various requirement.

• Encoding Parameters: Dynamically adjust the perimeters of resolution, frame rate and video quality in order to

better adapt into the network environment.

• Support Digital Watermark and Encryption Technology: Embed equipment serial number and recording time in

the video stream to prevent video tampering, which

increases the reliability and security of the video data.

World-Class Technologies

Page 19: 2012 Hikvision Introduction
