entreIntroduction:The Ahmed Bin Hanbal Language &Training Centre was created as a result of the school ambition to be distinguished and to be a pioneer in establishing parynership with students’ families and the broader community. Indeed, the project was welcome by the parents who were very motivated and showed determination to keep it up and running. Not only did they enjoy the course, but also developed social relationships. Some of them admitted they had developed a better understanding of what their children are required to achieve as a part of the English langauge instructional course.
In fact, such an enthusiastic project could not see the light of day without the valuable contribution and sponsorship of Conocophilips who is known for the commitment to back educational and extracurricular projects. Centre working times:The centre operates twice a week as follows:• Monday,from5pmto7pm.• Wednesday,from5pmto7pm.The timing was chosen following the parents’ suggestions.

entreThe staff at the Ahmed Bin Hanbal Language & Training Centre made use of a questionnaire to get feed-back from the parents who participated in the General English Language Course. The questionnaire tackled
different aspects relating to the participants themselves, to the suitability of the material used throughout the course and the quality of the service offered, be it the suitability of the location or the instructor’s per-formance. Achievements:There is a general feeling of satisfaction among the parents. Indeed, they think that the course material and the faculty running the centre fully respond to their expectations and needs. They also like the location and appreciate the refreshments served during breaks by one dedicated worker. Another positive aspect relates to trainees self-assessment. Notwithstanding the fact that they show a high level of involvement, most of them is aware that their performance can be ameliorated.

Whatisnext? As a regular practice, the staff at Ahmed Bin Hanbal Language & Training Centre think of new ways to improve the quality of the activities. One important aspect that has to allotted more attention is the course itself. Indeed, there are two main concerns. The first revolves around the differences in the linguistic levels of the trainees, and the second relates to how much the course meets their professional needs (Some of them are expecting to have business English for example). Hence, with the beginning of the new course, there will be more reliance on interactive software that would cater for personalized needs with the possibility to integrate some business writing basics like emails and simple business letters.
