Nation-Wide CPD Course On Energy Audit Tools And

Techniques

ENERCON is the National Focal institution to promote Energy Conservation all across

Pakistan with a mission to cultivate a new energy culture focusing on achieving

sustainable development through conservation and ecient use of energyresources !he present spate of energy crisis in Pakistan is the worst this country

has ever faced in its entire history "ncreasingly in the last several decades#

industrial# building# transport and agricultural sector energy audits have e$ploded

as the demand to lower increasingly e$pensive energy costs and move towards a

sustainable future have made energy audit greatly important

%n energy audit is an inspection# survey and analysis of energy &ows for energy

conservation in a building# process or system to reduce the amount of energy input

into the system without negatively a'ecting the output(s)!he re*uirement for an

energy audit such as identi+cation and *uanti+cation of energy necessitates

measurements, these measurements re*uire the use of instruments

-e are happy to share with you that ENERCON has taken an initiative through

Energy Conservation Fund to establish Energy %udit !ools .ab for /emonstration#

!rainings 0 Public %wareness Programs Presently there is very little knowledge of

the sub1ect among technical professionals# demonstration of the tools through

trainings will help them able to identify 0 *uantify the energy losses in industrial#

transport# building and agricultural sector

"n order to develop a linkage between %cademia and "ndustry# PEC hereby supports

such an initiative and recommends all the PEC registered Engineering 2niversities to

take suitable measures and steps for inclusion of ENERCON3s Energy %udit 456 7ours

sessions going to be delivered by ENERCON representative in the respective

2niversities o'ering Energy Courses in 8echanical# Electrical# Chemical# Civil or any

other relevant disciplines

-e hope this activity will strengthen industry5academia relationship and shall play a

vital role for settling up Certi+ed Energy 8anagers Regime for /esignated Energy

Consumers as per Pakistan Energy Eciency 0 Conservation .aw which is in its +nal

stages of approval
