J 15 HO P Important information before you begin: This E&G grille installation kit includes grille hole location template(s) to drill mounting holes in the vehicle.Before marking or drilling any holes into the vehicle, you MUST verify that the template(s) provided in this kit match the mounting pin locations on the grille(s). Please place the assembled grille’s mounting pins over the template(s) provided and make sure that the pin and hole locations are the same. If they do not match, please call 410-381-4900 and ask for technical assistance. Thank you. 1. Apply automotive masking tape around the factory plastic chrome surround and above on the GMC emblem. It is also recommended that you apply a layer of masking tape on the painted portion of the front bumper as shown. The tape is ap- plied to the emblem to prevent the heavy mesh from scratch- ing that surround when placing it on the grille. 2. Remove the ten (10) pushpins on the upper grille cover inside the hood. Use a flat-blade screw driver or a clip removal tool. See image below for all clip locations. Place the pushpins in a cup so you do not misplace them. 3. Upper radiator grille cover removed. Note the locations of the ten (10) pushpin locations (shown with tape). 4. Using the supplied drilling template and an awl or other pointed tool, mark the upper left & right hole locations. Please note that these two locations require drilling. MARK THESE HOLES BEFORE YOU IN STALL THE MESH & USE THE WIRE TIES to hold the mesh to the factory grille on the next page.
