Step 1: resignation or retirementStep 2: principal writes job postingStep 3: position is posted for 10 school days both

Goal/Purpose:
This program is designed to provide planned experiences and activities for new teachers in order to increase their skills and their understanding of the programs and services in the Palisades School District.

Summer institute – August 16, 17, 18 Workshops run by district administrators and teacher
staff developers. Topics: Technology Supervision and Evaluation SAS Training Classroom Environment/Restorative Practices Differentiated Instruction Ethics and Confidentiality Human Resources Curriculum/course planning Building-specific activities
This year, teachers blogged and used a “back channel”

Ongoing support and collaboration with mentor Note: This is the second year that the program has been
extended into teachers’ second year of service. Mentors and mentees engage in peer coaching and quality dialogue about teaching and learning
