T he qualities admired in Catalina’s award-winning 445—versatile, fast, comfortable spacious and safe—formed the basis of our newest model.

Presenting the all-new Catalina 355, a new hull design with a long waterline, moderate beam and freeboard, and a handsome low-profile cabin structure.

Everywhere you look on the 355, you’ll find features that make sailing for the day or for extended periods a pure pleasure. Precise mainsail control is a snap with a 5' long traveler. Long, inboard genoa tracks accommodate headsails from a powerful 155% genoa to a storm jib, allowing a balanced sail plan for all wind conditions. The inboard shrouds and hardware facilitates tighter sheeting angles for upwind performance, and wide, unobstructed weather decks for safety.

Some features inspired by her predecessor are an articulating forward berth with innerspring mattress, a dedicated filter locker, large cockpit locker with gull

wing hatch and available quad-leaf folding table.

The 355 is fast and comfortable with qualities proven in its pedigree that are sure to win you over.

George Day: The 10 Things TheyNever Tell You About the Cruising LifeGeorge Day is the publisher and owner of Blue Water Sailing magazine and Cruising Compass. He is the author of three best-selling books and has cruised and raced more than 100,000 miles offshore, including a fi ve-year circum-navigation. In ‘The 10 Things They Never Tell You About the Cruising Life’ seminar, George opens the door to the ‘real’ cruising life, what it entails, and the rewards and hardships. It’s not all rum drinks with pink umbrellas, nor is it all shipwrecks and pirates.

The Strictly Sail Pacifi c Seminar Series presented by Blue Water Sailing offers more than 100 free seminars during the show! The seminars, which span the four-day show, are taught by highly-respected sailing authors, technical experts and well-seasoned sailors, and cover a wide range of topics. Newcomers and advanced sailors alike will fi nd plenty of topics to expand their horizons, covering everything from learning how to get started in sailing to general boat repairs, living aboard, circumnavigation, and much more! The fi nal seminar schedule can be found at www.strictlysailpacifi c.com.

SEMINAR PRESENTERSAND TOPIC HIGHLIGHTS

Zac Sunderland: Tales From the Youngest Solo CircumnavigatorAt age 16, Zac Sunderland set off into the Pacifi c Ocean on a quest, not only to see the world and have the adven-ture of a lifetime, but to become the youngest person to sail around the world alone. Enjoy Zac’s account of his world-record setting 28,000 mile circumnaviga-tion. With more than 100 slides and video clips, this presentation will take you to the corners of the world and through huge storms. Discover what it took to stay driven toward the fi nish line for this 13-month solo adventure.

ZAC SUNDERLAND GEORGE DAY

Abby SunderlandAfter watching her older brother, Zac, successfully sail around the world alone in 2009, Abby Sunderland real-ized that with hard work and perseverance, her own dream to solo circumnavigate could be a reality. At the age of 16, Abby became the youngest person ever to sail solo around Cape Horn. More than half way around the world her boat

was hit by a rogue wave. Rolled, dismasted and out of communica-tion, Abby had to be rescued from the middle of the Indian Ocean. Abby’s lessons from the sea have taught her a lifetime of wisdom on having passion and purpose in your life.
