The inland part of the territory is craggy, with some of the hi-ghest peaks in the Valencia and Castellón provinces forming part of the Iberian mountain range. The mountains in the Alicante province are in turn a part of the Subbaetic range.The most emblematic mountain of the Valencian Community is the Penyagolo-sa, in the Alcalatén area. CIRCUIT INFO

The Circuito de la Comuni-tat Valenciana was completed in 1999 and held rounds of the MotoGP and Spanish Mo-torcycle Championships in the same year. The Cheste track has several layouts, running anti-clockwise with varying lengths. MotoGP events are held on a 4km track comprising of five right handed corners, eight left handers and a 650m straight. Although the track is regarded as quite small, the pit

morning I felt very confident and was pretty happy with the setting of bike one. I was mis-sing some front and rear feeling but my pace was consistent on the damp surface. In the after-noon I went out on the same bike but after three laps I lost the front on turn two crashing out: probably I pushed too much. I rejoined the track on bike two but the set up was slightly different and we could not fix the problem with the time remaining. I did not have the same rear grip feeling but we have got a good base set up on the wet so let’s see how is the weather tomorrow”.

Valencia, 6 November: the ul-timate round of 2011 season at Ricardo Tormo circuit was full of emotions for riders, teams and MotoGP fans. Nico Te-rol clinched the 125cc World Title and the German Stefan Bradl was finally confirmed as the 2011 Moto2 World Cham-pion whilst this morning riders from all three categories were invited to depart from the Pit Lane as a group, and comple-ted a lap of the track in honour of Simoncelli (the proces-sion was led by former World Champion Kevin Schwantz on Simoncelli’s RC212V bike). The 18th round was also the ultimate race for Italian racer Loris Capirossi who conclu-ded the final race of his 22-year career with a ninth place.

LCR Honda MotoGP Team racer Toni Elias started from the 13th spot on the gird for his last race aboard the RCV212V finishing in 10th place. Stoner claimed his tenth victory of the 800cc era ahead of Spies and Dovizioso.

Elias – 10th : “Well… First it was very tough to line up wi-thout Marco today and we will always remember him. I took an incredible start from the 13th spot and I could have gone for the fifth place but Ni-cky got into my way and he was involved in the crash in the first corner. From the beginning to the middle of the race we had a good pace just 1.5s slower than Casey in the front but la-ter on, when it started to rain, I did feel safe as I started to lose rear grip in corner entry so my

Io sono partito benissimo dal 13° posto e potevo arrivare alla prima curva inquinta posizione ma Nicky mi ha chiuso e poco dopo è rima-sto coinvolto nella caduta dei quattro. Da inizio gara sino a metà avevo un buon passo sol-tanto 1.5s da Stoner lì davanti ma poi, quando ha iniziato a piovere, non mi sono più senti-to sicuro e ho iniziato a perdere trazione così il mio ritmo è ca-lato e ho deciso di non strafa-re e chiudere decimo. I wish him the best for his future career because he is a tough rider and a guy with a huge heart, a contagious smi-le and full of human worth”.

Inaugurato a Valencia Venerdì sera, il trailer ELF misura più di 13 metri e verrà adibito al trasporto di pro-dotti, carburanti e lubrificanti ELF per supportare a 360° i piloti ed i Team impegnati nel Campionato del Mondo MotoGP. Last weekend of the 2011 se-ason at Ricardo Tormo circuit was a sombre affair, with the entire paddock honouring the memory of MotoGP rider Mar-co Simoncelli who lost his life at the Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday the 23rd of October. Motorcycles, riding gear and team trucks all carried Simon-celli’s famous number 58 logo, and many of the tens of thou-

sands of fans present also wore tributes to the popular Italian. Sunday morning riders from all three categories have been invited to depart from the Pit Lane as a group, and comple-te a lap of the track in honour of Simoncelli and the proces-sion was led by former World Champion Kevin Schwantz on Simoncelli’s RC212V bike.

Marco e anche il pubblico Ibe-rico ha voluto celebrare il pilota Italiano con diversi striscioni. Domenica mattina i piloti delle tre classi hanno ricordato Mar-co con un giro d’onore commo-vente capeggiato dal leggenda-rio Kevin Schwantz in sella alla RCV no.58.
