Choosing your tank size

Step A Calculate your yearly water usage from the Water Consumption Table.

Step B Using the equation below estimate the amount of rainfall you will collect off your house/shed.

Step C Depending on how you intend using the water or whether your house relies solely on rainwater, make sure you can harvest most of the rainfall falling on the roof in the wet season.

Step D Finally look at the area available for tank/s and make sure you have enough room.

Self Supporting Roof Design (No Pole Required)

Polymaster’s roof profile has been designed and tested over many years. The ribbed and domed design of the Polymaster tanks has a certified patent and registered design.

Corrugated for Strength Polymaster’s traditional corrugated wall profile cannot be substituted for strength and appearance. A well known fact is, as soon as an object receives some ribbing the rigidity increases enormously.

One piece constructionRoof and walls are moulded as one with no joins, seams or partlines down the walls. At no stage is the roof cut off and screwed back on.

Harvesting rainwater & choosing your tank size. There are a few points to consider when choosing your rainwater tank.

While you can never have a rainwater tank that is too big, you can certainly have one that is too small, in which case you will find yourself running out of water more often than not.

Polymaster Pipeline Tanks, being fully certified are now supplied with watermark approved brass float valves certified to AS1910. These valves are recommended by pipeline authorities. The 25mm float valve is fitted standard on all pipeline tanks. 32mm and 40mm float valves are also available.

Extra Heavy construction to suit liquids with a specific gravity of up to 1.5Liquid fertiliser is increasingly popular in the field of agriculture/horticulture, having many advantages:

Delivery & Installation

Installation Guide

Entry to tank is not required when installing a Polymaster!

Never enter a tank alone. Have an attendant stand by. Restricted Space - only enter after carrying out a Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (H.I.R.A.).

> The tank site must be firm, level and flat, a concrete type base well compacted and free from any rocks, stones and sharp objects.

> A concrete pad is recommended and must be greater than the diameter of the tank. If not, a 75mm (3”) compacted sand base, or other consolidated fill i.e. crusher dust, may be used as a tank pad.

> If a compacted sand base or other consolidated fill is used, a retaining wall or surround must be provided to prevent erosion and may alter the specifiations of the tank.

> The overflow must be piped well clear of the tank to avoid any undermining of the tank base.

> Ensure that a flexible hose of at least 300 mm (12”) is installed after the tank valve to absorb any shocks or movement.

> If tank is placed on a stand, support pipework off the stand, never support pipework off the tank.

Note: Failure to properly install tank as per instructions will void warranty.

Delivery requirements

Clearance for truck and trailer 19 metres long, 5 metres high, 3.5 metres wide.

> In accordance with OH&S requirements, the customer must be present at the time of delivery. If this is not possible, arrangement must be made with the distributor, friends or neighbours to ensure truck driver will have the necessary assistance as listed below.

> A minimum of three able bodied persons to help the driver place tanks 13,600 ltr and larger. This is to be arranged by the customer receiving the tank/s.

> Underground tanks will require a lifting device (forklift etc) to unload. This is not supplied by the driver.

Delivery of your TanksPolymaster’s large tanks can be delivered direct to property where there is a properly made road and large turning area available. It is the owner’s responsibility to provide clear access to site, and to secure tank/s once left at site.

If the driver cannot reach the location, the tank/s will be left at the closest practical position at the driver’s discretion.

If you are not completely satisfied with your Polymaster purchase, simply return the product for credit within 14 days of receipt. All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee and freight charges.
