The purchaser of a Damon Vehicle should complete and promptly return to Damon this registration form. This form is not necessary in order to obtain warranty service. However, a purchase receipt or other proof of date of original consumer purchase will be required before warranty service is rendered. Federal law requires that Damon maintain records of the names and addresses of the owners of its Vehicles and the respective identification numbers of such Vehicles. The information contained in this and other forms will assist Damon in the prompt servicing of such Vehicles.

Introduction

This manual describes many features of your motorhome and provides a guide to operating procedures so that you can obtain the best performance from those features. Your motorhome has been designed to conform with, or exceed, the American National Standards Institute A 119.2, NFPA 1192, CANADIAN CAN/CSA-Z240 RV SERIES-99 (Canadian-built or units built for Canada), and applicable motor vehicle safety standards. These standards establish the plumbing, heating, electrical and other requirements for quality and safety. The seal attached just outside the entry door indicates compliance with these standards. This seal is the outward sign of internal quality.

Like all automotive equipment, your motorhome will require care and regular maintenance in order to retain its maximum performance characteristics. This manual, along with the specific instructions provided by the leading appliance manufacturers, are in your Owner’s Information Kit. The Chassis Operator’s Manual outlines important areas of service and provides a maintenance schedule. Please follow them carefully to ensure a safe trouble-free service. Study these instructions carefully. A good working knowledge of your unit and how to care for it will help you enjoy many miles and years of recreational living.

If you have any questions regarding operation, maintenance, or service, please contact your dealer immediately so they can assist you. Your dealer’s Service or Sales Department is equipped to handle most any problem that may occur. Customer service is of the utmost importance to your dealer and is just as important to the manufacturer. This manual contains a section outlining the warranty and explaining your rights and obligations, as well as the rights and obligations of the dealer and manufacturer, under the terms of the warranty. Please read this section carefully. You will be better informed in case you have a warranty related problem and your dealer will be better able to get you back on the road again in a timely manner.

You must include the dealer’s name, model and serial number of your motorhome. The Damon serial number is located on the bottom of the federal sticker, which is located in the driver’s compartment area. Thank you for choosing our product. Your dealer and we, the manufacturer, will continually strive to merit your confidence.

Some equipment and features described or shown in this manual may be optional on your model. This instructional manual is of a general nature only. Because of the continuous process of product improvement conducted by Damon Motor Coach, it is possible that recent product changes may not be included in this manual. Specifications may change without notice. This manual is accurate as of the date of publication. The instructions included in this manual are intended as a guide, and in no respect extend the responsibilities of the manufacturing subsidiary, parent company or affiliates beyond the standard written warranty as presented in this manual.

This product is designed to provide temporary living quarters for recreational, camping, or travel. Damage or deterioration due to long term occupancy may not be considered normal, and may under the terms of the warranty, constitute misuse, abuse, or neglect, and may therefore reduce or void certain warranty protection.

How to Use This Manual

Your motorhome has been thoroughly inspected before shipment to the dealer. Your selling dealer is responsible for performing a complete pre-delivery inspection of all motorhome components as specified in the pre-delivery checklists supplied by the manufacturer. You should receive a copy of these completed checklists from your dealer when the motorhome is delivered to you.

Should a problem arise, your first step is to contact your selling Damon dealer who will be glad to handle your situation. This Owner’s Manual is not intended for use as a service manual, but rather as a guide to help you become familiar with your motorhome.

This manual is not model specific, which means that it is used for a variety of different models that Damon manufactures. It is of a general nature, so the illustrations and descriptions may not be exactly as they are in your particular motorhome.

If you are unclear or unfamiliar with any procedure that is described in this manual, see your Damon dealer for further clarification before proceeding.

Damon Corporation uses the following notations to warn the user of possible safety concerns and to provide information that will prevent personal injury to the user and/or damage to the motorhome.

A WARNING INDICATES A POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS SITUATION THAT, IF NOT AVOIDED, MAY RESULT IN DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY.

A CAUTION INDICATES A POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS SITUATION THAT, IF NOT AVOIDED, MAY RESULT IN MINOR OR MODERATE INJURY.

A NOTICE INDICATES AN INSTRUCTION OR PROCEDURE THAT IS IMPORTANT FOR PROPER SERVICE. A NOTICE CAN ALSO SUPPLY INFORMATION THAT WILL HELP TO MAKE YOUR CAMPING EXPERIENCE MORE PLEASANT.

A DANGER INDICATES AN IMMINENTLY HAZARDOUS SITUATION THAT, IF NOT AVOIDED, WILL RESULT IN DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY.

REPORTING SAFETY DEFECTSIf you believe that your vehicle has a defect, which could cause an accident, injury, or death, you should immediately inform the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in addition to notifying Damon Motor Coach.

If NHTSA receives similar complaints, it may open an investigation, and if it finds that a safety defect exists in a group of vehicles, it may order a recall and remedy campaign. However, NHTSA cannot become involved in individual problems between you and your dealer or Damon Motor Coach.

Chapter 1 - Warranty

LIMITED WARRANTY

DamonCorporation(“Damon”)warrantstothefirstretailpurchaseroftherecreationvehicle(“RV”),whenpurchasedfromanauthorizedDamondealerandusedfor its intendedpurposeofrecreationalcamping,thatDamonwillrepairorreplace,atitselection,anysubstantialdefectsinmaterialorworkmanship:(1)relatingtothe“houseportion”oftheRV,foraperiodof12monthsor12,000miles,whicheveroccursfirst;and(2)relatingtothesteeloraluminumframestructureof the roof, frontand rearwalls,andsidewalls (excludingslideouts), foraperiodof24monthsor24,000miles,whicheveroccursfirst. The“houseportion”of theRVconsistssolelyof thoseexteriorand interiormaterials,components,andpartsofthelivingareaoftheRVmanufacturedbyDamon.

Damon’sLimitedWarrantybeginstorunonthedatetheRVissoldtothefirstretailpurchaser,orthedatetheRVisplacedinservicebythedealerforpersonalusepriortosaleatretail,whicheveroccursfirst.Damonspecificallydoesnotwarrantthechassisanditscomponents,whicharesubjecttoaseparatelimitedwarrantyprovidedbythechassismanufacturer. Damon’sLimitedWarranty isnot transferable,coversonlymaterials,components,orpartsof theRVmanufacturedbyDamon,anddoesnotreplaceorextendthewarrantiesprovidedbymanufacturersthatareattributabletotheirproductsusedinassemblyoftheRV.Foradditional limitationsonthisLimitedWarranty,pleaserefertothesectionentitled“Whatisnotcovered”below.Damon’sobligationtorepairorreplacedefectsinmaterialorworkmanshipisthesoleobligationofDamonunderitsLimitedWarranty.

SOMESTATESDONOTALLOWLIMITATIONSONHOWLONGAN IMPLIEDWARRANTYWILL LAST,SOTHEABOVELIMITATIONSMAYNOTAPPLYTOYOU.

WHAT IS NOT COVEREDThisLimitedWarrantydoesnotapplytoandDamonwillnotberesponsibleforthefollowing:

1. Normalwearandusage2. ItemsaddedorchangedaftertheRVleavesthepossessionofDamonoranydamagecausedbythese additionsorchanges3. DefectsdiscoveredduringoraftertheRVhasbeenusedforrentalorothercommercialpurposes(a presumptionthatyourRVhasbeenusedforcommercialpurposesarisesifyouhavetakenabusiness relatedtaxdeductiononanyfederalorstatetaxreturn,ortheRVistitledorhasbeentitledtoasole proprietorship,partnershiporcorporation)4. Minorimperfections,includingpaintcracksorchips,whichdonotaffectthesuitabilityoftheRVforits intendedpurposeofrecreationalcamping5. Damage,eventootherwisewarrantedcomponentsorparts,duetoaccident,misuse,whetherornot foreseeable(includingfailuretomaintainandusetheRVinaccordancewiththeowner’smanual),abuse, hail,earthquake,waterorflood,condensation,windstorm,lightning,hurricane,andotheractsofnature, collision,fire,explosion,damagefromforeignobjectsstrikingtheRV,damagefromairorfuelcontamination orcorrosionduetotheenvironment,roadsalt,chemicals,ortheft,vandalismorotherinterveningactsnot attributabletoDamon

6. Scratches,dents,chipsordefacingofanysurfaceorfabricofthisRVnotcausedbyDamonorwhich constitutenormalwearandtear7. Wheelalignment,tirewear,ordamageduetotirefailureorbatteryfailure8. Periodicmaintenance,includingbutnotlimitedtore-caulkingthebodyoftheRV,tighteningscrews, lubricating,cleaningorpolishingtheRV,replacementorrepairofitemsasaresultofRVuse,wearor exposureincludingcorrosionandoxidation9. Minoradjustmentssuchasadjustmentstotheinteriororexteriordoors,drawers,latchesetc.willbe performedbythedealerforthefirst90daysofwarrantycoverage.Thereafter,suchadjustmentsarethe owners’responsibilityasnormalmaintenance.10. Itemsthatarecosmeticinnatureorthatareworkingasdesignedbutyouareunhappywithbecauseofthe design11. DamageordefectsduetooverloadingtheRVoranyofitscomponents,orimproperloadbalancing.12. Anymaterial,component,orpartoftheRVthatiswarrantedseparatelybyitsmanufacturer,includingbutnot limitedtotires,batteries,microwave,generator,VCR,CDplayer,DVDplayer,radio,speakers,television, hometheater,satellitesystem,dryer,washer,waterpump,converter,inverter,refrigerator,range,hot waterheater,stove,propanedetector,carbonmonoxidedetector,smokedetector,furnace,roofair conditioner,dashairconditioner,levelingjacksystem,andthechassisandotheritemssuppliedby thechassismanufacturer.Thechassisincludes,butisnotlimitedto,anycomponentsofthechassisframe, powertrain,brakesystems,aircleaningsystem,coolingsystem,portionsofthedashairsystem, chassiselectricalsystem,gauges,exhaustsystems,shocks,struts,andsteeringsystem. Thewrittenwarrantyprovidedbyanycomponentmanufacturerisadirectresponsibilityofthatmanufacturer; pleaserefertothatmanufacturer’swarrantyforanypertinenttermsandconditions.Damon makesnowarrantyastoanyofthecomponentsseparatelywarrantedbyanothermanufacturer.

DISCLAIMER OF INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGESDAMONSHALLNOTBELIABLEFORANDHEREBYDISCLAIMSINCIDENTALORCONSEQUENTIALDAMAGESARISINGOUTOFORRELATINGTOTHERV, INCLUDINGBUTNOTLIMITEDTOLOSTWAGES, LOSTTIME,COMMERCIALLOSS,LEGALEXPENSE,LOANPAYMENTS,TOWING,VEHICLERENTAL,FUELCOST,MILEAGECOSTS,ANDTEMPORARYLIVINGEXPENSES.

SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIALDAMAGES,SOTHEABOVELIMITATIONSMAYNOTAPPLYTOYOU.

OBTAINING WARRANTY ASSISTANCEIntheeventasubstantialdefectinmaterialorworkmanshipcoveredbyDamon’sLimitedWarrantyisfoundtoexist,Damon,atitsoption,willprovidefortherepairorreplacementofthedefectivematerialorworkmanshipatnochargetotheRVowner,inaccordancewiththetermsofitsLimitedWarranty.Toobtainwarrantyservice,theRVownermustdoallofthefollowing:

(a) completeandreturntoDamontheOwnerRegistrationFormintheOwner’sManualwithinten(10) daysofpurchase

(b) notifyinwritingDamonoroneofitsauthorized,independentdealersoftheclaimeddefectwithin ten(10)daysofthedatethattheclaimeddefectisorshouldhavebeendiscoveredand

(c) promptlyreturntheRVtoDamonoranauthorizeddealerforsuchrepairs.Allcostsincurredintransporting theRVforwarrantyserviceshallbetheresponsibilityoftheRVowner.

Damon’sobligationtorepairorreplacedefectivematerialsorworkmanshipisthesoleobligationofDamonunderthisLimitedWarranty.DamonspecificallymakesnowarrantyastothefutureperformanceofthisRVoranyofitsmaterials,components,orparts.

PleaseinspectyourRVatthetimeofdeliveryandmakesureyouacceptitasdeliveredtoyou.ThisRVhasbeensoldtoanindependentdealer,andnotanagentofDamon,forresaleintheordinarycourseofthedealer’sbusinessontermsandconditionsandequippedasthedealerandyoudetermine,andyouragreementissolelywiththedealer,notDamon.Damondoesnotparticipateintheretailsalesagreement.

TheRVowner’sobligation tonotifyDamonoroneof itsauthorized, independentdealersofaclaimeddefectdoesnotreplace,alter,ormodifytheobligations,ifany,placedontheRVownertocontactDamondirectlywhenpursuingremediesunderapplicablestateorfederallaws.If,aftertwoattempts,anywarranteditemhasnotbeenaddressedbytheauthorizedDamondealer,itistheRVowner’sresponsibilitytocontactDamoninwritingsoDamoncanbecomedirectlyinvolvedinperformingtherepair.Damonmay,atitsoption,requirethatthevehiclebereturnedtoElkhart,Indianaforrepair.RefusaltoreturntheRVtoDamonforwarrantyrepairsshallvoidthewarrantywithrespecttothoseitems.

Damondoesnotcontroltheschedulingofserviceworkatitsauthorizeddealers.Delaysinschedulingorcompletionofworkmaybeunavoidable.IfyouneedassistanceinobtainingthebenefitofthisLimitedWarranty,pleasecontactDamonat574.264.2900.

RV OWNER MAINTENANCE AND USE OBLIGATIONSThisRVrequirespropercareandmaintenancebytheowner.Theaccessoriesandappliancesmustbeproperlyused.FailuretoprovidepropercareandmaintenanceortoobservetheproperhandlinganduseofaccessoriesandappliancesmayresultindamagetotheRVoritscomponents.

ItistheresponsibilityoftheownertotakesuchpreventativemeasuresasarenecessarytomaintaintheexteriorcaulkingandsealeroftheRV.Itisalsotheresponsibilityoftheownertousereasonable,prudentcaretopreventforeseeablesecondarydamagefromrainwater,plumbingleaks,condensationandthenaturalaccumulationofmoistureintheRV,suchasadelaminatedfloor;stainedupholstery,carpeting,ordrapes;moldformationandgrowth;furnituredamage,etc.MoldandmildewarenaturalgrowthsgivencertainenvironmentalconditionsandarenotcoveredbythetermsandconditionsofthisLimitedWarranty.

Damonwillnotrepairorreplaceitemsthataredamagedasaresultoflackofcare,preventionorimproperuse,norfordamagetootherpartsoftheRVthatresultfromsuchlackofcare,preventionorimproperuse.

By design, recreation vehicles are not intended or equipped to meet the needs of a permanent or semi-permanent home; therefore, any such use shall void Damon’s Limited Warranty.

LIMITATIONS PERIODAnyactiontoenforcethetermsofDamon’sLimitedWarrantyshallbecommencednotmorethanoneyearafterexpirationoftheapplicablewarrantyperiod.Anyperformanceofrepairsshallnotsuspendthisoneyearlimitationfromexpiring.Anyperformanceofrepairsafterthewarrantycoverageperiodhasexpired,orperformanceofrepairsregardinganythingexcludedfromcoverageunderthisLimitedWarranty,shallbeconsidered“goodwill”repairs,andwillnotalterthetermsofthisLimitedWarranty,orextendthewarrantycoverageperiodortheoneyearlimitationperiod.

Thiscanbereducedbyalwayskeepingthebathroomdoorclosedandthewindoworventsopenwhenbathing,andforaperiodoftimewhenyouhavefinishedbathingorcooking,toallowfordissipationofallthemoisture.Useyourventhoodandfanwhencooking.Don’thangwetclothesinyourunittodry.Whenleftforprolongedperiodsoftime,condensationcancauseconsiderabledamagetoyourvehicle.

Mostexteriorpartsofyourmotorhomearemadeoffiberglass,whichisaverydurablematerial, but not indestructible. Exposure to the elements can cause prematuredeteriorationwithoutroutinemaintenance,especiallyinhotterclimates.Theeffectsmaybe;fading,yellowing,orchalking,howeverthesearesurfacecosmeticchanges,whichdonotaffectthestrengthofyourunit.Simplemaintenancethroughcleaningbywashingandwaxingwillensurelastingbeauty.

The front suspension and steering system of this vehicle was factory aligned usinghighlyaccurateequipmentpriortodeliverytothedealership.Werecommendthatthealignment is checked after you have fully loaded the motorhome according to yourpersonalneeds.Ifnecessary,adjustalignmentfortheloadedmotorhome.Thereafter,thealignmentshouldbeinspectedyearlytohelppreventuneventirewear.

Sanitizethefreshwatersystematleastonceperyearorwheneverthemotorhomeisunusedforprolongedperiodsoftime(seepage34).Thiswillhelpkeepyourwatersystemfresh and discourage the growth of bacteria that can contaminate thewater supply.Makesurethatthetanksareproperlytreatedwiththerightchemicalsfordisinfection.

Weatherproofingsealantsareusedaroundthedoors,windows,vents,andjointsduringconstruction of your motorhome. Heat generated by surface frictionwillincrease the tire’s air pressure, therefore do not bleed air out of a hot tire. Checktire pressure after the vehicle hasbeenparked for at least onehour. Inflate tires torecommendedpressureasindicatedontheFederalCertificationLabellocatedabovetheDriversarea.(Seemaintenancescheduleonpage81.)

Door should be secured with the travel latch, and the items insidemade ready fortransit.

Ifthemotorhomewasproperlyandcarefullypreparedforstorage,takingitoutofstoragewillnotbedifficult.ThefollowingchecklistassumesthatyoustoredyourRVwithcare.Ifyoudidn’t,andextensivefreezedamageorotherseriousdeteriorationhasoccurred,consultyourdealeroranauthorizedservicecenterforadvice.

Chapter 3 - On the Road SafetySeat belts are an important safety feature of your vehicle. Each designated seat isdesignedtocarrypassengerswhilethevehicleisinmotion.EachDesignatedSeatingPositionisequippedwitheitheratype1(lapbelt)oratype2.(shoulderandlapbelt)Thenumberofseatsequippedwithseatbeltsistoprovideachoiceofseatinglocations.This does not necessarily mean that you may safely carry that many passengers.Referto“CargoCarryingCapacity”(page21)intheloadingsectionforproperloadingtechniques.

Toadjustyourseatbelt:

Pivotthebuckleatarightangletothebeltandpulltothedesiredlength.Makesurethebelt isnot twisted,andpressthetongueend intothebuckleend.Be sure the two are latched together, and adjust the belt snugly around yourabdomen.Torelease,simplydepressthebuttononthebuckleandremovethetongue.

Childrestraintseatsmaybeusedwiththelapbeltsprovided.Checktherestraintseatinstructions forproper installationandadjusting.Child restraintseatsare required toacertainage.Checkwiththestates inwhichyouwillbetravelingfortheproperagerequirements.

While the motorhome is in motion, passengers should be seated with seat belts fastened. Do not allow passengers to occupy any position that is not equipped with a seat belt.

Useonlyrecommendedfuelasspecifiedbythechassismanufacturer.Donotoverfillthefueltank,butallowforexpansionoffuel(causedbyrisingtemperatures)bystoppingthefillingprocesswhenthepumpautomaticallyshutsoff.

Modern fuel systems may build up vapor pressure within the tank as the fuel warms during use, or in hot weather. Under certain conditions, suddenreleaseofthispressurewhenremovingthefillercapcansprayfuelfromtheopening,causingapossiblehazard.Whenremovingthefillercap,rotateitslowly,only far enough to allow pressure to release. After any hissing sounds die down, complete the removal of the cap. To protect the gasoline system from excessive pressure or vacuum, or from sudden release of pressure, replace lost caps with caps of the same design available from your motorhome dealer.

Whendrivingyourmotorhome,you’redrivingalargevehicle,andyoushouldbecomeaccustomedtothefeelofthecontrolsandthereferencepointsfromthedriver’sseat.Become familiarwith thepositionof themotorhome in traffic, andbecautiouswhilemaneuveringtoallowforthelengthandwidthofthevehicle.Alwaysallowextraroomtocornerandtochangelanes.Learntousethesidemirrorstoviewtheroadbehind.Checkthemoften.

Drivingonwindingormountainroadsisnotdifficultifdonewithreasonablecare.Observepropervehiclespeedswhenascendingordescendinghillsandalwaysoperateintheproper transmission range.Downshift on hills to avoid overheating or undue engineloads.Downshiftbeforedescendinggrades.

Road conditions, terrain, weather, and other driving factors are sometimesunpredictable,andmountaindrivingordeserttemperaturescanputextremedemandsondrivetraincomponents,especiallythetransmission.Underextremeheatconditionsyoumayneedtoturnoffthevehicleairconditionertoimproveengineandtransmissioncooling.

Allow for the extra height of your motorhome and avoid areas having low overheadclearance.Check for lowhanging treebranchesor other obstructionswherever youdriveorpark.Avoidlowroofheightswhenpullinginforservice.Thismaybeparticularlyimportant ifyoudrivewith theoverheadventsopenor if themotorhome isequippedwitharoofairconditioner,roofrack,orTV/radioantenna.Checkthetotalheightforyourparticularmotorhomeandmakesurethatyouareawareofitwhendrivingunderbridgesorunderpasses.

Whenparkingparalleltoacurb,besuretoallowforpolesorobstructionsasthefrontandrearportionsofthemotorhomewillswingwiderthananautomobile.Rememberthatyourmotorhome is larger thanyourautomobileandwill requiremorespace.Becarefulyourunitdoesnotoccupyroadspaceorblockdrivewayswhileparking.Whenparkingonanincline,turnthefrontwheelsintothecurbinthedirectionoftherolltoaidtheparkingbrake.Alwayssettheparkingbrakewhenparking.

Changingatireonamotorhomeismoredifficultthananordinaryautomobile.Motorhometiresare largerandheavier thanordinary tires.Wheneverpossible, call for roadsideassistancetohelpyouinchangingyourtires.Thistaskshouldnotbedonealoneduetotheweightoftheunit.Motorhomesareextremelyheavy.Changingaflattireisbestlefttoaprofessionalmechanicwiththeproperequipment.

Ifabsolutelynecessary,changethetireonalevelandfirmsurface.Ifyouareontheroadside,activatethevehicle’shazardwarningflashers.Applytheparkingbrake.Setup flares and orwarning lights. See the chassismanufacturer’s owner’smanual forspecificjackingandtireremoval,andreplacementinstructions,whichpertaintoyourunit.Lugnutsvary fromchassis tochassis,and theGVW(GrossVehicleWeight)ofyourmotorhome.(SeeChassisOwner’sManualforspecificinstructionsontighteninglugnuts).Afteroperating50-100miles,retightentothesamespecification.Ifyoudon’thaveproperequipment,stopatthenearestservicefacilityandhavethetorqueofthelugnutschecked.

Never place the jack under a bumper or under the edge of the sidewall.Alwaysplacethejackasspecifiedbythechassisowner’s manual. Never use the rear differential as a jacking point. Use the jack only for changing tires. NEVER get underneath the vehicle when using the jack; never start or run the engine while the vehicle is on the jack.

The most important factor in maximizing the life of your tires is maintaining properinflationpressure.Anunderinflatedtirewillbuildupexcessiveheatthatmaygobeyondtheprescribed limitsofenduranceof the rubberand the radialcords.Over inflationwillreducethetire’sfootprintontheroad,reducingthetraction,brakingcapacity,andhandlingofyourvehicle.Anoverinflatedtirewillalsocauseaharshrideanduneventirewear.

Todeterminethecorrectairpressureforyourtires,loadyourmotorhomeasyouwouldnormallyfortravel,includingwaterandfuel.DeterminethecorrectairpressurefortheweightoneachaxleandadjustthepressureaccordingtotheFederalCertificationLabelwhenthetiresarecoolorhavenotbeendrivenformorethanonemile.Neverreducetheairpressureinahottire.

Neverletairoutofahottire.

Nowthatyouhavefoundwhatthecorrectairpressureperaxleneedstobeforyourmotorhome when loaded, you need to know when to check your air pressure. Youshouldchecktheairpressureeverytwoweeksoratleastonceamonthandbeforeanymajor trip.Yourmotorhome’sairpressureshouldbecheckedeverymorningon longtrips.Onshorttripsofadayorlessofdrivingeachway,yourtiresshouldbecheckedbeforeyoustartyourtriphome.Ifyourvehicleisstoredforanylengthoftime,theairpressureshouldbecheckedpriortostorage,butmoreimportantly,whenitcomesoutofstorage.

Checkyourtireswhentheyare“cold”andhavenotbeendrivenformorethanonemile.Thestatedloadcapacityforagivencoldinflationpressureisbasedonambientoutsidetemperature.

Tomaintaintheinflationpressureinyourtiresyouwillneedtheproperequipment.Itisrecommendedthatyoupurchaseaqualitytrucktireairgauge,whichhasanangleddualhead.Thistypeofgaugeallowsyoutocheckinflationontheinnerdualwheelwhichhasthevalvestempointedawayfromyou.Nothingshouldrestrictyourabilitytocheckyourtire’sairpressuredailywhenyouaredrivingyourmotorhome.Pressuresealingvalvecapsshouldalwaysbeusedtopreventairfromescapingfromthevalvestem.Ifyouusevalvestemextensionhoses,makesuretheyaregoodqualitystainlesssteelbraidreinforced,andaresecurelyanchoredtotheouterwheel.Ifyourmotorhomehaswheelcoverswhichmustberemovedtochecktheinflation,thenconsiderremovingthemastheextratimeandeffortrequiredmayleadyoutoavoidcheckingyourpressure.

When replacing your tires always make sure the proper size andratingisused.Checkthefederalcertificatelocatedin thedriversareaforyourmodel’sspecificsizeandrating.

Inasuddenstoporcollision,looseequipmentcouldstrikesomeone.Storing ajack,atire,orotherequipmentinthepassengercompartmentofthe vehiclecouldcauseinjury.Storeandsecurealloftheseitemsinaproper place. Damondoesnotprovidejackswithourmotorhomes.

Chapter 4 - Safety ProvisionsYourmotorhomehasbeensuppliedwithvarioussafetyfeaturesandequipmentforyourconvenienceandforsafeoperation.Aswithallareasinlife,thechanceforaccidentsispossible,andtherecreationallife-styleisnoexception.Pleasetakethetimetofamiliarizeyourselfwiththesafetyfeaturesofyourmotorhomenowtopreventanyquestionofhowtheyareusedifanemergencyshouldarise.

PleaserefertothesmokedetectormanualintheOwner’sInformationKitforoperatinginstructions.

Test smoke detector operation after vehicle has been in storage, before each trip, and at least once per week during use. Replace battery every six months. The motorhome should never be operated or occupied unless the smoke detector is present and functioning properly.

Eachmotorhome is equippedwith a portable fire extinguishermounted close to themainentrydoor.ThisfireextinguisherisratedforClassB(gasoline,grease,flammableliquids)andClassC(electrical)fires.Testyourextinguisherasrecommendedbythefireextinguishermanufacturer,andreplaceafteruse.Befamiliarwithyourfireextinguisherlocationanditsoperation.

Anpropanedetector,locatednearthefloorinthegalleyarea,willsensethepresenceofpropaneleakage.Theleakdetectorwillsoundanalarmifpropaneisdetected.Testtheleakdetectorweekly.

Thepropanedetectorgetsitspowerfromoneofthecircuitsintheloadcenter.Becausethesecircuitsareontheloadsideofthebattery-disconnect,thepropanedetectorwillbedisabled(alongwithallother12Volthousepowereddevices)whenshorepowerisremovedandthebatterydisconnectisinthestoragemode.Whilethisisidealwhenyourcoachisinstorageandthepropanesystemisshutdown,therewillbenowarningifthisshouldhappenwhilecampingandanpropaneleakoccurs.Towarnyouofthispossiblehazard,alabelislocatednearthepropaneleakdetector.

The propane detector is operated by the 12 Volt house wiring and will be disabled when batteries are in the storage mode and shore power is removed.

The motorhome should never be operated or occupied unless the propane detector is present and functioning properly.

A carbonmonoxide detector is installed in each vehicle. It is usually located on thebedroomorhallwallaboutfivefeetfromthefloor.Testitbeforeeverytriptoensurethatitisfunctioningproperly.

Carbonmonoxideisacolorless,tasteless,odorlessgas.Itisaby-productofcombustionintheengine,generatorandpropaneappliances.Theenginesinyourmotorhomeandgeneratorsystemproduceitconstantlywhiletheyarerunning.CARBONMONOXIDEISDEADLY.Pleasereadandunderstandthefollowingprecautionstoprotectyourselfandothersfromtheeffectsofcarbonmonoxidepoisoning.

Exhaust gases are deadly. Do not block the tail pipe or situate your vehicle or propane appliance exhaust systems in a place where the exhaust gases have any possibility of accumulating either outside, underneath, or inside your vehicle or any nearby vehicles. Outside air movements can carry exhaust gases inside the vehicle through windows or other openings remote from the exhaust outlet. Operate the engine only when safe dispersion of exhaust gases can be assured. The motorhome should never be operated or occupied unless the CO Detector is present and functioning properly. Do not under any circumstances operate the vehicle or generator engine while sleeping.

Thecarbonmonoxidedetectorisinstalledwithoutbatteries.Toinstallthebatteries,pressthetabatthetopoftheCOdetectorandslidethedetectorupwards.Openthebatterycompartmentdoorbyhingingthe left lowersidedownward.Thisexposesthebatterycompartment. Install the batteries as indicated. The detector should beep indicatingcorrect installation. Reverse the above procedure to reinstall the detector. Test thedetectorbeforeyoustarteverytrip.

Whenlightingyourpropaneappliancesforthefirsttime,orafterrefuelingthepropanetank,trappedairwillneedtobepurgedfromthesystemwhichcouldtakeafewsecondsor a fewminutes, dependingon thedistanceof theappliance from the tank.Followtheappliancemanufacturer’s lightingandoperating instructionsfoundintheOwner’sInformationKit.Besurethatthewaterheaterhaswaterinitpriortoigniting.

Everysleepingareainyourrecreationalvehicleisprovidedwithexits.Theseexitsareeitherintheformofanexitwindow(whichwillbelabeledEXITinredletters)orthemainentrydoor,whichisnotlabeled,servesasanexit.Theexitwindowhandleswillalsoberedincolor.Liftthehandlesandpushthewindowopentoexit.Makesurealloccupantsareawareoftheexitlocationsandtheiroperation.

Makesuretoreadandunderstandthegeneratorowner’smanualbefore operatingthegenerator.Observealloperatinginstructionsandwarningsas wellasallrecommendedmaintenanceschedulesandprocedures.

Chapter 5 - Health and Well-beingAfteryoufirstpurchaseyournewrecreationalvehicleandsometimesafterithasbeenclosedupforanextendedperiodoftime,youmaynoticeastrongodorandchemicalsensitivity. This isnotadefect inyour recreational vehicle. Likeyourhome, thereare many different products used in the construction of recreational vehicles, suchas carpet, linoleum, plywood, insulation, upholstery, etc. Formaldehyde is also theby-product of combustion and numerous household products, such as some paints,coatingsandcosmetics. However, recreationalvehiclesaremuchsmaller thenyourhomeandthereforetheexchangeofairinsidearecreationalvehicleissignificantlylessthanahome.Theseproducts,whenneworwhenexposedtoelevatedtemperaturesand/or humidity,may “off-gas” different chemicals, including formaldehyde. This offgassing,incombinationwiththeminimalairexchange,maycauseyoutoexperienceirritationoftheeyes,nose,throatandsometimesheadache,nausea,andavarietyofasthma-likesymptoms.Elderlypersonsandyoungchildren,aswellasanyonewithahistoryofasthma,allergies,orlungproblems,maybemoresusceptibletotheeffectsofoff-gassing.

Most of the attention regarding chemical off-gassing surrounds formaldehyde.Formaldehydeisanaturallyoccurringsubstance.Itisalsoakeyindustrialchemicalusedinthemanufactureofthenumerousconsumerproductswhichwerereferredtoaboveand used in the construction of recreational vehicles. Trace levels of formaldehydearealsoreleasedfromsmoking,cooking,useofsoapsanddetergentssuchascarpetshampoos, cosmetics, andmany other household products. Some people are verysensitivetoformaldehydewhileothersmaynothaveanyreactiontothesamelevelsofformaldehyde.Amountsreleaseddecreaseovertime.

Keep the temperature as reasonably cool during cold weather as possible.Thewarmer the vehicle, themore cold exterior temperatures andwarm interiortemperatureswillcollideonwallsurfaces,thuscreatingcondensation.

Usea fan to keepair circulating inside thevehicle so condensationandmildewcannotformindeadairspaces.Allowairtocirculateinsideclosetsandcabinets(leave doors partially open). Please keep in mind that a closed cabinet full ofstored goods prevents circulation and allows the exterior temperature to causecondensation.

Thenaturaltendencywouldbetoclosethevehicletightlyduringcoldweather.Thiswillactuallycompoundtheproblem.Simplyput,youneedtoremovesomeofthewarmair,andallowsomecoolairtogetinsidethevehicle,sothefurnacewillnotrecyclehumidinteriorair.

Use fluorescent ceiling lights and minimize prolonged use of the incandescentlights,whichproduceheat and contribute to condensation in the roof above theceilinglights.

Moldsaremicroscopicorganisms that naturally occur in virtually everyenvironment,indoorsandout. Outdoorsmoldgrowth is important in thedecompositionofplants.Indoors, mold growth is unfavorable. Left unchecked, molds break down naturalmaterials,suchaswoodproductsandfabrics.Knowingthepotentialricksisimportantforanytypeofownertoprotecttheirinvestment.

Formoldgrowth tooccur, temperatures, indoorsandoutdoors,mustbebetween40degrees and 100 degrees Fahrenheit and also have a source ofmoisture, such ashumidity,standingwater,dampmaterials,etc.Indoors,themostrapidgrowthoccurswithwarmandhumidconditions.

Bycontrollingrelativehumidity,thegrowthofmoldandmildewcanbeinhibited.Inwarmclimates,useoftheairconditionerwillreducetherelativehumidity.Ventsarelocatedinthebathingandcookingareasandconstantuseisadvisedduringfoodpreparationandbathing,evenduringcolderweather.Additionally,openingawindowduringtheseactivitieswillassistinventilation.Inextremelyhumidconditions,theuseofadehumidifiercanbehelpful.Ifusingadehumidifier,pleasereadandfollowallmanufacturerinstructionsandrecommendationstotheuseandcleaningofthedehumidifier.

Yourmotorhomewasdesignedprimarilyforrecreationaluseandshort-termoccupancy.Ifyouexpecttooccupythemotorhomeforanextendedperiod,bepreparedtodealwithcondensationandthehumidconditionsthatmaybeencountered.Therelativelysmallvolume,andtightcompactconstructionofmodernrecreationalvehicles,meanthatthenormallivingactivitiesofevenafewoccupantswillleadtorapidmoisturesaturationoftheaircontainedinthemotorhome,andtheappearanceofvisiblemoisture,especiallyincoldweather.

Justasmoisturecollectsontheoutsideofaglassofcoldwaterduringhumidweather,moisturecancondenseontheinsidesurfacesofthemotorhomeduringcoldweatherwhenrelativehumidityoftheinteriorairishigh.Thisconditionisincreasedbecausetheinsulatedwallsofarecreationalvehiclearemuchthinnerthanhousewalls.Estimatesindicatedthatafamilyoffourcanvaporizeuptothreegallonsofwaterdailythroughbreathing,cooking,bathing,andwashing.Unlessthewatervaporiscarriedoutsidebyventilation,orcondensedbyadehumidifier,itwillcondenseontheinsideofthewindowsandwallsasmoisture,orincoldweatherasfrostorice.Itmayalsocondenseoutofsightwithinthewallsortheceilingwhereitwillmanifestitselfaswarpedorstainedpanels.Appearanceoftheseconditionsmayindicateaseriouscondensationproblem.Whenyou recognize the signsof excessivemoistureand condensation in themotorhome,actionshouldbetakentominimizetheireffects.Fortipsoncontrollingcondensationsee“TipstoControllingCondensation”section.

Thefreshwaterstoragetanksuppliespotablewatertoallfixtureswithinyourmotorhomebymeans of a 12Voltwater pump.This pump is located close to the storage tankandisequippedwithacheckvalvethatensuresdirectionalflowawayfromthetank.Thepumphasanon/offswitch,which is locatedon themonitorpanel,bathroom,orterminationcompartment.Thepumpwillautomaticallybuilduppressureandmaintainthatpressurewhenturnedon.Thepumpshouldbeturnedoffwhenthefreshwatertankisemptyorwhenthemotorhomewillnotbeinuse.Continuedoperationwithadrytankmaydamagethepump.Yourpumphasafilterontheinletside.Thisfiltershouldbecleanedaftereachtankfulofwaterforthefirstfewuses.Toremovethecoverpressinfirmlyandtwistcounterclockwiseaboutoneeighthturn.Pullthescreenoutofthebowlandrinseclean.Reassembleinthereversefashion.FormoreinformationcheckyourwaterpumpOwner’sManuallocatedinyourOwner’sInformationKit.

The freshwater tankcanbefilledbyanexternalhose through thepotablewaterfilllocatedoutsideyourunit.Tofill,makesurethatthetankandlowpointdrainsareclosed.Simplyconnecttheexternalhosedirectlytothereceptaclelabeled“PotableWater”ontheoutsideofyourmotorhome.Turnontheexternalwatersourceandthetankwillfillup.Checkthemonitorpanelwhilefillingthetanktodeterminehowfullthetankis.Whenfull,watermayspillbackoutthroughtheinletorvent.Thereisnoautomaticshut-offforthefreshwatertankfill.Whencompletelyfillingthetanktomaximumwatercapacity,fillallwaterlinesandthewaterheateraswell.Whenpossible,travelingwithanemptyfreshwatertankwillprovideformorecargocarryingcapacityandbettergasmileage.

Ifyouchoosetousecitywaterdirectlyforyourwatersource,simplyattachtheexternalhosetothe inlet labeled“CityWater” locatedonanexteriorsideofyourmotorhome.Nowyouhaveapressurizedwatersupplyfromthemotorhomeparkorcitywatersupplyhookup.The samewater lines are utilizedaswith the freshwater storage tankandpump;however,thepump’scheckvalvebypassesboththepumpandthefreshwatertank.Turnonthewatersupplyandopenfaucetstopurgeanyairtrappedinthewatersystem.

Somewatersourcesdevelophighwaterpressure,particularlyin mountainousregions.Thesecampgroundsorhookuplocationsmaynothaveregulatedwaterpressure,whichcouldbeconsideredexcessive.Highpressureisanythingover55psi.Excessivepressuremaycause leaksordamagetoyourwatersystem.Waterpressureregulatorsareavailabletoprotectthewatersystemagainsthighpressures.Checkwithyourdealerforrecommendationsofwaterpressureregulators.

Lowpointdrainsarelocatedeitherintheholdingtankcompartmentorinarearstoragecompartmentonthedriver’ssideofthecoach.Thesedrainsareusedwhenthesystemistobecompletelyclearedofwater.

Youshouldsanitizeanddisinfectthefreshwatersystemupondeliveryoftheunitandatleastonceperyearorwheneverthemotorhomeisunusedforprolongedperiodsoftime.Thiswillhelpkeepyourwatersystemfreshanddiscouragethegrowthofviralandbacterialcontamination,whichmaybecontainedinyourwatersupply.Useachlorineandfreshwaterrinseasfollows:

1. Drainthefreshwatertankbyopeningthedrainvalve.Allofthefaucetsshouldbe intheclosedoroffposition.

2. Prepareasolutionof1/4cuphouseholdliquidchlorinebleach(5%sodium hypochlorite)toonegallonofwaterforevery15gallonsoftankcapacity.Donot pourbleachstraightintotank.Bleachmustbedilutedinwaterpriortofilling.

Example:Addfour2/3gallonssolutiontoa70gallontank. Addfive1/3gallonssolutiontoa80gallontank. Addsix1gallonsolutiontoa90gallontank. Addsix2/3gallonssolutiontoa100gallontank.

Thismixtureputsa50PPM(partspermillion)residualchlorineconcentration inthemotorhome’swatertank.Thiswillactasquick-killdosageforsome harmfulbacteria,viruses,andslime-formingorganisms.Concentrationshigher than50PPMmaydamagewaterlinesand/ortank.

3. Closeallfaucetsanddrains,andfillthefreshwatertankwiththerinsesolution throughthepotablewaterfill.

4. Turnonthepumpswitchandcirculatetherinsesolutionthroughouttheentire system.

5. Oncetherinsesolutionhasbeencirculatedthroughtheentiresystem,fillthefresh watertankuntilitisfull.

6. Closeallfaucetsanddrainsandletthesystemsitforapproximatelythree(3) hours.

7. Draintheentiresystem.

8. Flushthecompletesystemwithfreshwateruntilchlorineodordisappears.

9. Finally,closealldrainsandfillthefreshwatertankasyounormallywould.Make surethewaterheaterhaswaterinitpriortoigniting.

Chlorine is poisonous. Recap bottle and clean any appliances used with soap and water.

Thewastewatersystemiscomprisedofdualholdingtankswithindividualterminationvalves.Theholding(solidwaste)tankasindicatedonyourmonitorpanel,collectsallthewastematerialfromthetoilet.Thegraywatertankcollectsalloftheliquidwastematerialfromthesinks,drains,andshowers.Bothtanksarejoinedtogetheraftertheterminationvalvetoprovideasingleterminationoutletforconvenientdumpingofwastematerials.Aflexiblesewerhose(whichisnotprovided)isrequiredtomaketheconnectionbetweenyourunit’sterminationvalveandtheapproveddumpstationinlet.

Thedrainagesystemisverysimilartothatofyourhome.Thesystemistrappedandventedtopreventwastegasesfromenteringyourmotorhome.ThedrainpipingismadeofABSmaterialandisresistanttomostchemicals.The“P”trapsatthesinks,showersandtubsareavailableforuseasclean-outsifnecessary.

Yourvehicle’sholdingtankcompartmentsareheatedbythefurnaceductwork.Itwillheatthetankswhenthefurnaceisoperating.

As mentioned previously, your holding tanks terminate together at one location forconvenienceindumpingyourtanks.Atwist-oncapislocatedattheterminaloutlettohelppreventleakageofmaterials.

Theholdingtanksareenclosedsewersystems,andmustbedrainedintoan approveddumpstation.Tanksshouldbethoroughlydrainedandrinsedto preventanyaccumulationontheinteriorofthetanks.

Twistofftheterminationcapcounterclockwise.Someliquidmaybetrappedbetweenthevalves.

Connectthesewerhosebyturningitclockwise,makingsurethattheconnectionendleversarelockedovertheterminationend.

Deposittheotherendofthesewerhoseintoanapproveddumpstationinlet.

Opentheblackterminationvalvefirstanddrain.

Openthegray(smaller)tankvalvetodrainandflushoutthehose.

Rinsethetanksandhosethoroughlywithfreshwaterbeforedisconnecting.

Closetheterminationvalves.

Rinse the sewer hose with the faucet provided in the terminationcompartment.

Theelectricalsysteminyourmotorhomeisdesignedandbuiltinaccordancewiththelatestcodes,standards,andregulationseffectiveatthetimeofconstruction.Itconsistsoftwotypesofsystems,alternatingcurrent(AC)120Voltserviceanddirectcurrent(DC)12Voltservice.Becauseof themanymodelvariationsandoptions, it isnotpossibletoprovidewiringdiagramsinthismanual.WerecommendthatanyelectricalworkbedonebyaDamondealeroraqualifiedRVelectrician.

Thechassiselectricalsystemisseparatefromthecoachelectricalsystem,exceptfortheemergencystartwhichmayprovidepowerfromtheauxiliarybatteriestothechassisbattery.Thechassissystemgetsitspowerfromtheautomotivebattery,providingpowertoallof thedashcontrolsandtheir functions. Ifanychassiselectricalsystemshouldfail,firstcheckthefusesatthecircuitpanelundertheinteriordashonthedrivers’side.Theseareautomotive type fuses,whichareavailableatmanyservicestations.Thedashfuseswillbelocatedeitherunderthedashonthedrivers’side,orintheBatteryControlCenter(BCC)inthecompartmentinfrontofthedrivers’fronttire.

Replace fuses or bulbs only with those of equivalent size and type as marked on the fuse or bulb. Incorrect sizing will not match component circuitry causing a possible electrical hazard.

Thedirectcurrent(DC)systemsuppliesallthepowertooperatethe12Voltdevicesinyourvehicle.Itismadeupoffourparts:

Thesystemhasbeendesignedtoprovideadequatepowerduringtravel,drycampingorcampgrounduse.

When shore power is unavailable, the coach batteries power all house 12 Voltdevices.Thecoachbatteriesareofthegolfcartvarietyandarecapableofbeingdeeplydischarged.Withalargereserverating,thebatteriesareabletoprovidelimiteduseforseveraldaysbeforeneedingtoberecharged.Becauseofthelargepowerrating,thebatteriesmustberechargedforaminimumof24hourstoreachafullcharge.

Neverexposebatteriestoopenflameorelectricalspark.Chemical actioninthebatterygenerateshydrogengaswhichisflammableand explosive. Do not allow battery electrolyte (battery acid) to contact skin, eyes, fabric, or painted surfaces. Wear eye protection when working with batteries.

Chargingofthebatteriescomesfromoneoftwosources,theenginealternatorortheconverter.Whendriving,circuitryintheBCC(BatteryControlCenter)directschargingcurrentfromthechassiselectricalsystemtothecoachbatterybank.Whenpowerfrom

Theinverterconverts12Voltpowerfromyourhousebatteriesto120Voltpowerforyourmotorhome.TheinverterwillpowerthefrontandrearTV,HomeTheater,theVCR,theGFCI(GroundFaultCircuitInterrupter)circuit,themicrowaveandall120Voltreceipts.Beawarethatbatteriesarealimitedpowersourceandwillquicklydischargeunderhighloads.

TheACelectricalsystemprovidesgroundedelectricalpowertoyour120Voltelectricalappliancesthroughtheexternalshorelineoryourpowergenerator.Theshorelineisaone-piecemoldedcordthatprovidesaweatherproofcableassembly.Includedinthiscord isagroundingpin. Ifanyadapterorextensioncord isused,ensure thewire issufficiently sized for the amperage of themotorhome. Be sure the grounding pin ismaintained.

Electrical output devices, extension cords and adapters must be grounded and suitable for the electrical requirements of your motorhome.Failuretoprovidesufficientelectricalpowercancauselowvoltageand/ordamagetoyour appliances and motorhome.

ACreceptaclesarelocatedthroughoutyourunitforyourconvenience.Certaincircuitsarededicatedtoindividualappliances(i.e.airconditioners,microwave/convectionoven)becauseofloadrequirements.

YourmotorhomeisprovidedwithaGroundFaultCircuitInterrupter(GFCI)receptaclelocatedinthebathroomorgalleywhichalsoprovidesprotectiontoalloutsidereceptacles.TheGFCI isdesigned to limit the timeofexposure toanelectricalshockcausedbycurrentleakagetotheground.

TheGFCIshouldbecheckedonceamonthtoassureproper operation.TotesttheGFCI:

1.PresstheTESTbutton. 2.TheRESETbuttonwillpopup.IftheRESETbuttondoesnotpopup,a lossofgroundfaultprotectionisindicated.DONOTUSEthatoutletorother outletsonthesamecircuituntilaqualifiedRVelectricianhascheckedoutthe electricalsystem. 3.Torestorepower,pushtheRESETbutton.

Iftheoutsidereceptaclesdonotwork,checktheGFCIreceptacletomake suretheresetbuttonhasnotbeentripped.

TheBatteryControlCenter(BCC)housesallthefusesforyourauxiliarycoachcircuits.The BCC is located in front of the drivers front tire inside the compartment of thefenderskirt.To remove theBCC cover locate the tabs on each side of the box, pullawayslightlyandremove.Insideyouwillfindaseriesoffusesfortheextracircuitsnotavailableontheautomotiveorinteriorhouse12voltfuseboards.ThesestylefusesareavailableatanyautomotiveorRVstore.Ifitshouldbecomenecessarytoreplaceanyofthesefuses,besuretoreplacethemwiththesamestyleandamperagerating.Thecircuitwiringissizedforthatparticularamperage.TheBCCwillsensewhentochargeeithersetofbatteries. If thevoltage fallsbelow theminimumrequirements, theBCCwillswitchthechargetothatsetofbatteries.TerminalsinsidetheBCCareavailablefortestingitsfunctionality.ThistestingshouldbeperformedbyaqualifiedRVtechnician.

Ifyourmotorhomeisequippedwithagenerator,itwillprovideindependentACpower.WhenthegeneratorisinoperationanautomaticswitchwillchangetheACappliancestogeneratorpowerfromthepreviousACsource.Ashortdelayoccursbeforetheswitchingprocess is complete to allow the generator to stabilize its output. The generator ismounted to allow for easy access during service functions. Refer to the GeneratorOwner’sManualfornecessaryservicerequirementsandoperatinginstructions.

EXHAUST GASES ARE DEADLY. Do not block the tail pipe or situate the vehicle in a place where the exhaust gases have any possibility of accumulating either outside, underneath, or inside your vehicle or any other nearby vehicles. Outside air movements can carry exhaust gases inside the vehicle through windows or other openings remote from the exhaust outlet. Operate the generator only when safe dispersion of exhaust gases can be assured, and monitor outside conditions to be sure that exhaust gases continue to be dispersed safety.

Avoidpouringgrease,oils,orsimilarsubstancesdownyourdrainorthe toilet.Ifthisshouldoccur,theholdingtanksmayneedtobewashedoutwith soapandwater.Inaccuratemonitorpanelreadingscouldoccur.

This vehicle is designed with a propane system to provide a safe and reliable fuelsourceforyourrange,furnace,waterheater,andrefrigerator.Aswithanyflammableandvolatilematerial,properhandlingandprecautionsshouldbeexercisedatalltimes.The following warnings must be reviewed and adhered to for safe and trouble freeoperation.

Propane containers should not be placed or stored inside the vehicle. Propane containers are equipped with safety devices that relieve excessive pressure by discharging gas into the atmosphere.

It is not safe to use cooking appliances for comfort heating. Cooking appliances need fresh air for safe operation. Before operation: • Open overhead vent or turn on exhaust fan, and • Open window.

Awarninglabelhasbeenlocatedinthecookingareatoremindtheusertoprovideanadequate supply of fresh air for combustion. Use proper ventilationwhen using thecookingappliancestoavoidthedangersofasphyxiation.

Donotfillcontainerstomorethan80percentofcapacity.Overfilling the propane container can result in uncontrolled gas flow,which cancausefireorexplosion.Aproperlyfilledcontainerwillcontainapproximately80percentof itsvolume as liquid propane.

Propane has a distinctive odor. If you are unaware of the nature of an odor contact a Damon dealer. If you smell propane: •Extinguishanyopenflames,pilotlights,andallsmokingmaterials. • Do not touch any electrical switches. • Shut off the gas supply at the tank valve or gas supply connection. • Open doors and windows. • Leave the area until the odor clears. •HavethegassystemcheckedimmediatelybyacertifiedRVtechnician.

Annualmaintenanceshouldbeconductedonthepropanegasappliancesandequipmentbyanauthorizeddealer.

Thepropanetankismountedtothechassisbelowthefloorbetweentheframerailsandbehindthelowercompartmentdoorofyourmotorhome.Thetankneedn’tberemoved,asitisaccessibleforfillingthrougharemotefillunderthelowercompartmentdoorinthedriversside.Thetankandfittingshavebeencompletelyassembled;however,uponinitialfilling,allconnectionsshouldbecheckedforleakagebyacertifiedRVtechnician.

Thepropaneisstoredinthetankasaliquidunderpressureandvaporizesunderthecontrolofthepressureregulatorforusewithallofthepropaneappliances.Thepropaneinthetankismuchcolderthantheairthatsurroundsthetank,butastheairtemperaturedropsclosertothetemperatureoftheliquidinthetank,theliquiddoesn’tvaporizeaseasily.Consequently,theBTUvalueofthepropanedropsdramatically.Thecloserthetankistofullduringcoldtemperatures,thebettertheBTUvaluewillbe;however,donotfillthetanktomorethan80percent(80%)ofcapacity.

Freezing of the propane system is a potential problem during cold temperaturesbecauseofmoistureinthepropaneorsupplysystem.Precautionsshouldbetakentokeepyourtankandsystemfreeofmoisture.Checkwithyourpropaneservicestationaboutapprovedantifreezeordeicers,whichmaybeavailabletoreducethepossibilityofafreeze.

Thetankhasagaugeinstalledtoshowthelevelofpropaneinthetank.Thetanklevelcanberemotelyreadfromthemonitorpanel.Themonitorpanel isusually locatedinthehallway.

The propane tank has a regulator installed adjacent to themain shut-off valve.Theregulatorcontrolsthepressuretotheappliancesasrequiredforproperoperation.Thisregulatorhasbeenpresetby the regulatormanufacturerandshouldnotbeadjustedunlessnecessary,andthenonlybyaqualifiedpropaneservicetechnician.

Theregulatorhasaventtopermitittobreath,allowingthediaphragmtomoveupanddown,andalsoallowingareleaseforexcesspressurewhichmaybuildup.Thisventmustbe facingdownwardandshouldbecheckedperiodically tomakesure that it iscleanandfreefromobstructions.Cloggingfromcorrosion,dirt,insectsandotherdebrisisthemostcommoncauseofregulatormalfunction.

The propane regulator must always be installed with the diaphragm vent facing downward. Regulators that are not in compartments have been equipped with a protective cover. Make sure that the regulator vent faces downward and that the cover remains in place to minimize vent blockage that could result in excessive gas pressure, causingfireorexplosion.

Chapter 8 - Interior SystemsDrivingamotorhomeissimilartodrivingacar.Youhaveanignitionswitch,gearshiftcontrols,turnsignals,anddashcomponents.Asyousitinthedriver’sseatthecenterof the cluster includes tachometer, speedometer, fuel gauge, oil gauge, temperaturegauge, and ampmeter. Switchesmay have symbols to describe their function.Seepages51and52formoredetailedinformationonthefunctionofeachswitch.Switchlocationsmaybedifferentfrommodeltomodel.

Thedash radiocanbeplayedwithout turning the ignitionkey “on”provided that thebatterydisconnect is inthe“use”position.Forunitswiththehometheater, thedashradiocanonlybeplayediftheignitionisinthe“accessory”or“run”position.Thecruisecontrolsareon the turnsignal lever.Youcanset, resume,anddisengage thecruisecontrolfromthislocation.

GENERATORSTART:Aswitchonthedash,inthebedroomoronthegeneratorallowsremotestartingorshutdownofyourpowergenerator.Whenthegeneratorisrunning,alightonthedashswitchwillbeilluminated.Anhourmetershowsthetotalamountoftimethegeneratorhasbeeninoperation.

Thesteeringwheelcanbemovedtoallowadditionalroomforenteringandexitingthedriver’sseat,aswellas forselecteddrivingpositions.Operate the tiltmechanismbyliftingthesmallerleverontheleftsideofthesteeringcolumnjustbelowthedirectionalsignal lever.Movethesteeringwheeltothedesiredpositionandreleasethelevertosecure.

Never attempt to adjust the steering wheel while the vehicle is in motion. Loss of vehicle control could result.

Themonitorforthebackupcameraislocatedinoronthedash.Itwillturnonwhenthegearselectorisplacedinreverse,orwhenyouengageitspowerbutton.Itwillallowyoutoseebehindyourvehicleasyoubackuporpark.Thecameraislocatedontherearcapofthecoach.

Theclimatecontrolsinyourmotorhomearesimilartothecontrolsinmanycars.Youcanadjustthefanspeed,cool/warmairmixture,andclimatesettings,withtheturnofaknob.YourclimatecontrolconsoleincludessettingsformaximumA/C,normalA/C,vent,floorheat,amixtureofflooranddashheat,anddefrost.SettingcontrolstomaximumA/Ccirculatesandcoolsinteriorair.SettingcontrolstonormalA/Cconditionsoutdoorair.Thischassisclimatecontrolisnotintendedtoheatorcooltheentiremotorhome.

TheparkingbrakeisengagedwhentheshiftselectorisplacedintotheNpositionandtheyellowparkingbrakeknobispulled.Torelease,pressinontheyellowparkingbrakeknob.

Besuretheservicebrakesareengagedwheneverapplyingorreleasingthe parkingbrakes.

Thelevelingjackcontrolpadislocatedonthedriversleftsidepanel.Theparkingbrakemustbeappliedandtheignitionsystemmustbeonbeforeengagingthelevelingjacks.Besurethat themotorcoachison levelgroundbeforebeginningto level thecoach.Usingthecontrolpad,pushtheON/OFFswitchpad.Thesystemisnowoperationalandtheelectroniclevel lightswillbecomeactive.PushtheAUTOswitchpadtobegintheautomaticlevelingcycle.Toretractthejacksinautomaticmode,presstheRETRACTALLJACKSbutton.Thejackswillthenstarttoretractandreturntothefullretractposition.

Inautomaticmode,theRETRACTALLJACKSbuttonneedsonlytobe pressedonceandreleasedforthejackstofullyretract.

If further adjustment is necessary, simply push and hold the MAN switch pad forapproximately five seconds until the light under this button is illuminated. Pushthe appropriate leg pad to override the system and level the motorhome to yoursatisfaction. Whenlevelingyourmotorcoach,thecoachshouldbeleveled FRONTtoREAR,thenLEFTtoRIGHT.

Thefronttelevisionwillonlyoperatewhenthevehicleignitionswitchisturnedoff.Oncetheengineignitionswitchison,thetelevisionwillautomaticallyshutoff.Thisisasafetyrequirement.

Interiordoorsanddrawershave travel latches tokeep themclosedwhileyouare intransit.Toopendrawersliftslightlytoclearthecatch,thenpullopen.

Whenstoringarticles:

Alwayskeep toolsandequipmentstored inareaswhere theywill notshiftwhiletraveling.

Wheneverpossible,placeheavyarticles instoragecompartmentswhichare lowandneartheaxlesforbetterweightdistribution.Packarticlescarefullyinthestoragecompartmentstominimizeshifting.Ifnecessary,usestrapstopreventmovement.

Be sure liquid containers are capped and cannot tip or spill. Secure all glasscontainersanddishesbeforetraveling.

Additionalstorageisaccessibledirectlybeneaththebed.Simplyunlatchandliftthefootofthebed.Thedeviceisequippedwithgasstrutstoassistwithopening,holding,andclosingthebedstoragelid.

3. Aftertheabovestepshavebeenverified,locatetheswitchfortheslideroominthe hallway,orbedroomofthemotorhome.TurnthekeytotheONposition.Asyou presstheswitchtotheOUTposition,theroomwillbegintotraveloutward.(Asa safetyfeature,ifyouletupontheswitch,theroomwillstopmoving).

4. Asthisslideroomisdesignedtorollacrossthecarpet,itmaybenecessaryto vacuumtheflooraftereachextensionoftheroom.

5. Itmaybenecessarytore-levelyourmotorhomeaftertheroomisextended.

Chapter 9 - Exterior SystemsWhenlockingandunlockingthemaindoor,thereisadeadboltandalatchboltwhicharekeyedseparately.Unlockboth,pullthelatchopen,andpulloutonthedoorhandle.Themainentrydoorisatwopiecedoor.Youcanusethescreendoorseparatelyfromthemaindoorbyunlatchingit.Slidethescreenhandlecoverclosedtokeepinsectsoutofyourmotorhome.Ifthedoorneedsadjustment,seeaDamondealerforservice.

Adjacent toeachentrydoor is anentryassist handle for convenienceandsafety inenteringandexitingyourunit.

The electric step is automatic. When the ignition switch is activated, the step willautomaticallyretract.Whenthedoorisopened,thestepwillextendautomaticallyeveniftheengineisrunning.IftheswitchforthestepisintheOFFposition,thestepwillfailtooperateautomatically.Ifthestepmalfunctions,checkthebatteryvoltage,fuses,switchalignment,andverifythatthestepswitchisintheONposition.

Makesureyoureadandfollowallthemaintenancetipsandschedulesthatappearnotonlyinthismanual,whichforyourconveniencewehaveprovidedforyou;(referencepages77-82),butalsointhemanualsprovidedbythechassismanufacturerandvariouscomponentmanufacturers. Keep good records ofmaintenance functions performed,and make sure you perform all owner obligations as may be required to keep yourwarrantyinforce.

Itisalsoimportanttonotethatoperatingconditionswillaffectservicetimetables.Drivinginextremeconditionssuchasheavydust,continuousshorttrips,orstartandstopheavytrafficmeansthatservicedurationswillbeshortened.Discussservicetimetableswithbothyourdealerandchassisservicerepresentative.Preventativemaintenancewillpayforitselfmanytimesoverbycatchingorpreventingproblemsbeforetheyoccur.Manyrepaircostsaregreatlyincreasedduetothefactthatasmallproblemcanbegintoaffectotherpartsandsystemsofthemotorhomeifleftunattended.

Vehiclesleftinstorageforextendedperiodsoftimerequirefurtherprovisions tomaintainaproperstateofchargeof thevehiclebatteries.Parasitic loads(drains)fromtheradio,clock,powertraincontrolmodule,courtesylightsorotheraccessorieswilldischargeabatteryifthevehicleisnotusedforanextendedperiodoftime.Adischargedbatterycanactuallyfreezeintemperaturesof32degreesF(32°F),resultinginpermanentdamagetothebattery.Batteriesmayalsobepermanentlydamagedifallowedtostandforlongperiodsoftimeinastateofdischarge.

Toalleviatebatterydischarge,duringperiodsofstorageoftwoweeksorless,disconnectthe battery by pressing the battery disconnect switch located by the entry steps tothestoremode.Forextendedperiodsof timethebatteryshouldbedisconnectedbyremovingthenegativecablefromthebattery.

A disconnected battery may also self-discharge, especially in high ambienttemperatures,thereforeeverydisconnectedbatteryshouldbecheckedperiodicallyandrechargedifnecessary.

The drainage system, including the tanks and associated drain piping should beperiodicallyinspectedforloosefittingsfromvibrations.Anydeteriorationofthesealantaroundjointsandfittingsshouldberepairedimmediately.

Checktheoperationoftheterminationvalves.Iftheypullorclosewitheffort,lubricatethe shaft and slide valvewith spray silicone.Termination valves that leak shouldberepairedorreplacedassoonaspossible.

Sometimes,abuildupofpaperorothermaterialintheinsidegrooveoftheterminationvalvecanobstructthevalveandcauseittoseatimproperly.Ifyoususpectthatthisisoccurring,thevalvecanberemovedfromthedrainagelinebyremovingthefourscrewsthatholditinplaceandslidingitout.Thevalvegroovemaythenbecleanedoutwithascrewdriverorsimilartool.Replacethevalveinthelineandreinstall thescrewstosecureitinplace.

It isrecommendedthat freshwaternotbe left in thestoragetankfor longperiodsoftime.Thewatershouldbedrainedwhentheunitisbeingstoredornotinuse.Drainsarelocatedinavarietyofcompartments.Todrainthetankandlines,simplyopenthelowpointdrainsandallowwatertorunout.Afterwaterhasdrained,closethevalvestopreventpestsfromenteringthesystem.Seealso“SanitizingtheSystem”inChapter6 - “Plumbing Systems” (page 38) for more information. Check all hoses, fittings,andconnectionsregularlyforleaksandsignsofwear.Makesuretokeepthesystemsanitized,andtakecaretowinterizeduringcoldweather.

Theelectricalsystemrequiresminimalmaintenanceundernormalcircumstances.Mostelectrical maintenance in the recreational vehicle involves the chassis and auxiliarybatteries.Keepingthebatteriesproperlymaintainedwillhelptoeliminatemanyfrustratingelectricalproblems.Forexample,12Voltpowerisneededforthefurnace,refrigerator,waterheater,andsomeairconditionerfunctions.

Thegenerator isanotherarea inwhichsimplepreventivemaintenancecanheadoffproblems before they happen. Read the manual supplied with the generator in theOwner’sInformationKitforthecareandmaintenancerequiredonaregularbasis.

Ifyouexperienceelectricalproblemswithyourrecreationalvehicle,makesuretohaveitcheckedbyanauthorizedDamondealeroraqualifiedRVtechnician.

Generatorpowerplantservice, recommendedbythegeneratormanufacturer,shouldbeperformedatanauthorizedservicecenter.Routineoremergencyservice,suchasaddingoil,changingfilters,orreplacingsparkplugs,couldbeaccomplishedatanautoservicecenter,butmustbedoneinaccordancewiththeserviceinstructionsspecifiedby the generator manufacturer. Thelinepressureforpropaneappliancesshouldbecheckedatleasteverysixmonths.Mostpropanesuppliershavethisequipmenttodothetestforyou.

Allserviceproceduresshouldbeperformedonlybyacertifiedpropane servicetechnician.

Insectscanbuildnestsintheburnersofthevariousappliancesandequipment.Theburner and burner orifice of the propane appliances should be cleaned out by anauthorizeddealerorrepairfacilityanytimecircumstancesorconditionswarrant,butnolessfrequentlythanonanannualbasis.

Somecomponentsoftherecreationalvehicleareconstructedofstrong,lightweightABSplastic.Sometimes, itmaybenecessary toremovestains,orgenerallyclean.Amildsolutionofsoapandwaterwillcleanmanystains,andshouldbeusedinitially.Tougherstainsmayrequirestrongercleaners,butbesuretoreadthelabeltodetermineiftheproductisrecommendedforuseonplastics.Avoidabrasivecleansers(eventheliquidandcream types),alcoholbasedproducts,andsolventssuchasacetoneandMEK.Gasolineandkeroseneshouldnotbeusedbecauseofthedamagingeffecttheyhaveontheplasticsurface,aswellasthefirehazardtheypresent.Oftenthedamagecausedbysolvents,alcohol,andoilbasedproductsmaynotbeimmediatelynoticeable,buttheplasticismadeweaker,andthusmorepronetostresscracking.

The front suspension and steering system of this vehicle was factory aligned usinghighlyaccurateequipmentpriortodeliverytothedealership.However,werecommendthatalignmentbecheckedand ifnecessary,adjustedafteryouhavefully loadedthemotorhome according to your personal needs. Thereafter, the alignment should beinspectedannuallytohelppreventuneventirewear.Allalignmentsandincurredcostsaretheresponsibilityoftheretailowner.

Check that the topandbottombracketscrewsare tightat thestartofeachcampingseason.

1. Lubricatetherafterarmsandsupportarmsusingparaffinwaxorsiliconespray. Alsolubricatethethreadsontheknobs.

2. Periodicallycleantheawningfabricasfollows:Foravinylmaterialuseamixture of1/4cupofdishsoapand1/4cupofbleachmixedwith5gallonsofwarmwater. Theexteriorofyourmotorhomeismadeofpre-finishedaluminumandfiberglass.Washit frequentlywithamildsoapandsoftrag in lukewarmwater. Ifyoutravelroadsthathavebeensaltedforice,washyourmotorhomeassoonaspossible.Themostcommoncausesofcorrosionareaccumulationofroadsalt,dirt,andmoistureinhardtoreachareasunderthemotorhome.Makesureyouwashtheundercarriageandwheelwellsaswellastheexteriorofthemotorhome.Agoodautomotivecleanershouldbeusedoccasionally to remove tree sap, road tar, insects and industrial pollution that maydamagesurfaces.Donotusenaphthaor turpentine.We recommend that youwashyourmotorhomeabouteverythreeweeks.

If rotating theantennabecomesdifficult, lubricating thebearingsurfacebetween therotatinggearhousingandthebaseplatecanrestoreoperation.Anyspraytypesiliconelubricantmaybeused.

Elevatetheantennaandremovethesetscrewfromtherotatinggearhousing.Spraylubricant into the hole and around the edges of the gear housing. Rotate the gearhousinguntil the lubricantcoats thebearingsurfacesand theantennarotates freely.Replacesetscrew.

Buildupofmudunderthebodycancauserust,andcanaddunnecessaryweight,whichcontributes to thegrossweightof thevehicle.ThiseffectivelyreducestheamountofcargoyoucanstillcarryandremainwithinyourGVWRandGAWRlimits.

Check the condition of the frame regularly. Keep it clean, and repaint as necessarytohelpavoidrust.Corrosivematerialssuchasthoseusedfor iceandsnowremovalaccumulateontheundersideofthemotorhome.Thesematerialsshouldberemovedbyflushingtheunderbodyregularlywithwater,especiallyinareaswheremudandotherforeignmaterialscollect.

Makesurethatallwindowsremainoperativebyadjustingandlubricatinglatchesandmovingpartsannually.Usepowderedgraphiteorlightoiltolubricatemovingpartsonwindows.

Chapter 11 - Winter Use and StorageManypeople choose to use theirmotorhomes throughout the entire year.Extensiveusageisnotrecommendedinseverecoldweather.However,winter travelingcanbesafeforyouandyourmotorhomeifyoufollowtheprecautionsoutlinedinthischapter.Forthosewhochoosetousetheirmotorhomesonlyduringthewarmermonths,winterstorageisnecessary.Thissectionwillguideyouthroughtheproperstepstowinterizeyourmotorhome,whichiscriticaltomaintainmaximumdurabilityoverthelifeofyourvehicle.

The fresh water storage tank is located inside a lower storage compartment. Thefurnacewillheatthefreshandwastewatercompartments.Inseverecoldhowever,itiswisetomonitorthewatertemperatureinthetank,andtakeappropriatestepstodrainandwinterizeifnecessary.Inseverecoldweather, itmayalsobenecessarytoopenthelowercabinetdoorsatnightinboththebathandkitchenareastokeepwarmeraircirculatingaroundthewaterfixtures.

If you are going to leave the coach unheated for any length of time in severe coldconditions,it isbestnottokeepwaterinthefreshwatersystem.Itmayworkbesttocarrycookinganddrinkingwaterwithyouinplasticjugsinstead.

If youwill beusing yourmotorhomewhenconditions fall below the freezing level, itmaybenecessary to protect thedrainage system components fromdamageby theadditionofanapprovedantifreezesolutionasoutlinedontheproductdirections.Anydrainlinesexposedtoexternalairtemperaturesareespeciallysusceptibletofreezingandprecautionsshouldbetakentoprotectthemfromdamage.

In the event that the motorhome is left for a period of time without the furnace inoperation,cannedgoodsandotherfoodspackedinwatershouldbestoredashighaspossible,sinceheat rises.Theymightalsobestored in the refrigeratoras insulationagainst thecold.Storedryfoods,andother itemsthatarenot damagedbyfreezingtemperaturesinthelowerstorageareas.

Makesure touseanpropane thatwill vaporizeproperly in thecolder temperatures.Checkwithyourpropanerepresentativefortheproperfuel.

Use only the furnace to heat the recreational vehicle. It is properly vented to theoutside.

Never use the range for heating as carbon monoxide may build up inside the unit and asphyxiation could result.

Cookingproduces largeamountsofmoisture,not justassteamfrompotsandpans,butalsoasaproductofcombustion.Makesure touse theexhaustventsandopenawindowslightly tocontrol thehumidity.Atnight, leavearoofventand/orawindowslightlyopen.

Antifreezemustbenontoxicinnatureandmustbeflushedfrom the fresh water system before human use. Automotive antifreeze is poisonous and SHOULD NOT be used in drinking water systems.

Drainingthetanksandwaterlinesinyourmotorhomeishalfthebattleofwinterization.Complete the Storage and Winterization Checklist (page 78) to ensure protection ofyourmotorhome.AnauthorizedDamonservicedealercanhelpyouinthewinterizationprocessforyourconvenience.

Awaterheaterbypassvalvesystemislocatedinsideyourmotorhomeusuallybehindthewaterheater.Whenthesystemisclosed,waterisshutofftothewaterheater.Thiswilleliminatecirculatinganadditionalsixtotengallonsofantifreezethroughthewaterheatersystemwhenwinterizingthesystem.Besuretoremovethedrainplugfromtheoutsideofthewaterheatertodrainthewaterheatertank.

Batteries–Adddistilledwaterandrechargeifnecessary.Ifpossible,removebatteriesandstoretheminacooldryplace(approximately50–60°F).Checkthemperiodicallyandrechargeasneeded.Besurethatboththechassisandauxiliary(house)batterieshavetheproperelectrolytelevelandthattheyarefullycharged.Adischargedbatterywillfreezeandmaycrackthecase,causingseveredamagetothebatteryandsurroundingarea.Instorage,abatterywilllosechargegraduallyovera30to45dayperiod,evenwhendisconnectedbytheuseoftheBatteryDisconnectSwitch.Werecommendthatthebatteriesbecheckedforchargeatleastmonthly.Youmaywishtoremovethebatteriesfromthemotorhomeandstoretheminaheatedarea.However,evenwhenwarm,thebatterychargelevelmuststillbemaintained.Awarmbatteryacceptschargemuchmorereadilythanacoldone. Poor Reception.Haveyouenteredyourcorrectcurrentlocationzipcode?DoyouhavetheTVtunedtochannel3or4?(Samechannelastheoutputofthereceiver)Be sure there are no trees, buildings,mountains, etc. in the line of sight to thesatellite.Checkconnectionsatthereceiver,TVandantenna.Fine tune reception by slowly moving the antenna left, then right until you findthepositionthatgivesthehighestsignalstrength.Itisimportantthatyouturntheantennaslowly.Thesignalisdigitalandittakesafewsecondstolockon.

Room moves in and out very slowly, binds or squeaks.Greasetheslide-outtubesandrollers.

Grease marks appear on the carpet where the rollers are located. Therollersarenotatruesealedroller,sothismayhappenovertime.Takeprecautionswhenlubricating.

Water is getting in at the bottom corners of the room.Verifytheexteriorsealsareagainsttheroomatthetopcornersandnotturnedinwhenroomisout.Also,checkforvoidsinthesealontheroof.

Room will not move in or out.

EnsureignitionswitchisintheOFFposition.Checktheauto-resettingfuselocatedbytheslideoutmotor.(Seethemanufacturersmanual)Checkbatteryconditionandstateofcharge.Rechargeifnecessary.

Rollers leave tracks in the carpet as the room extends.

Thisisnormal.Therearemanypoundsofweightpressingtheserollersdownonthecarpetandrollerswillcompressthenapofthecarpetdown.Rakingthenaporvacuumingwillsolvetheproblem.

Termination valve leaks.Debriskeepsvalvefromseating.CleardebrisfromandaroundvalveO-ringset.Badgasket.HaveaDamondealeroraqualifiedRVtechnicianreplacegasketwithnew.

Elevation handle turns, but antenna does not raise or lower.Handlemaybeloose.Tightenscrews.Gearsmaybestripped.HaveaDamondealeroraqualifiedRVtechnicianreplacethegears.

Antenna will not rotate.Therotatehandleisengagedtotheceilingplate.Pulldownonhandletodisengagefromtheceilingplate.Possibleobstruction(treebranch,etc.).Removeobstruction.Frictionadjustment.Adjustcenterlocknut.Designofantennalimitsrotationto350°.Adjustasnecessary.

Waste tank (black) will not drain.Buildupordebrisintank.Checkforbuildupintankatstool.Alwaysuseaminimumamountofbiodegradabletoiletpaper.Alwaysuseplentyofwaterwhenflushing.Checkterminationvalveforproperoperation.

Temperature-pressure relief valve weeping.WeepingordrippingofreliefvalvewhilewaterheaterisrunningdoesNOTmeanitisfaulty.

There is an odor that smells like rotten eggs.Ifyourfreshwatersourcehasarotteneggodor,youwillneedtofindanothersourceoffreshwaterbeforeflushingandrefillingtheentireRVwaterstoragesystem.Toremovethehydrogensulfide(rottenegg)odor:Turnoffyourmainwatersupply;thatisyourpumporyourwaterhookupsource.Drainyourwaterheatertankbyremovingthedrainplug.Approximatelytwoquartsofwaterwillremaininthebottomofthetank.Ifyounoticeduringthedrainingthatthewaterisflowingsporadicallyorslowly,insteadofflowingfreely,youshouldopenyourreliefvalvetoallowairintothetank.Ifthewaterdoesnotflowfreely,takeasmallgaugewireorcoathangerandpushthroughthedrainopeningtoeliminateanyobstructions.After thoroughlydrainingthetank,flushtheentiresystemfromthewater inletallthewaytotheholdingtank.Toflush,usefourpartsofvinegarmixedwithtwopartsofwater.Ifyoudecidetouseairpressure(55PSImax.),itmaybeappliedeitherthroughtheinletoroutletontherearofthetank.Itmayalsobeappliedthroughthereliefvalveport.Inthiscase,itwillbenecessarytofirstremovethereliefvalve.Youmaytheninsertyourairpressurethroughthereliefvalvesupportflange.Ineithercase,withthedrainvalveopen,theairpressurewillforcetheremainingwateroutofthetank.Ifairpressureisunavailable,youmayflushyourtankwithfreshwater.

Freshwatershouldbepumpedintothetankwiththeassistanceof theonboardwaterpumporwiththeassistanceofexternalwaterpressure.Onceagain,externalpressuremaybepumpedintotheuniteitherthroughtheinletoroutletfoundontherearofthewatertank,orusingthereliefvalveinletlocatedonthefrontoftheunit.Continue this flushingprocess forapproximately five (5)minutesallowingampletimeforthefreshwatertoagitatethestagnantwateronthebottomofthetankandforcethedepositsthroughthedrainopening.Uponcompletionofthestepsabove,closethedrainplugaswellasthereliefvalve.Refillwithfreshwater,circulateandrinse.If youuse your vehicle frequently or for longperiodsof time, flushing thewaterheaterseveraltimesayearwillprolongthelifeofthewaterheaterstoragetank.

Pump will not start.

Checkthathousebatterydisconnectswitchison.Checkpumpswitchatmonitorpanel.Checkfuseinpowercenter.Checktoseeifwaterisfrozen.

Will not prime, sputters. (No discharge, but the motor runs.).Checktoseeifthereiswaterinthetank,orifaircollectedinthehotwaterheater.Checkforfrozenwaterlinesorwatertank.

Pump will not shut off. Runs when faucet is closed.Turnoffpumporcitywatersupply.Checkfordampareasaroundplumbingappliances.Checkplumbingforleaksandinspectforleakyvalvesontoilet.HavethepumpcheckedbyyourDamondealeroraqualifiedRVtechnician.

Wet areas near water connections, pump runs while the faucets are closed, and nootherfreshwaterfixturesarebeingused.

Thereisapossibleleak.Closealllowpointwaterdrainsandtankdrains.Turnoffallfixtures.Checkallfixturesandconnectionsfortightness.Donotovertightenfittingsasthismaycauseadditionalleakage.
