UNDP ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

The Technical Education and Skills Development AuthorityProvincial Training Center, Malilipot, Albay conducted the following trainings:

1. Motorcycle/Small Engine Servicing (M/SES) NC II - Tuburan, Ligao City | May 2June 10, 2011 - Burabod, Libon, Albay | May 9June 23, 2011

2. Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II- Pinagbobong, Tabaco City | May 3June 18, 2011

3. Carpentry NC II- Balading, Malinao, Albay | May 18June 10, 2011- Joroan, Tiwi, Albay | May 18June 10, 2011- San Isidro, Libon, Albay | June 21July 14, 2011

4. Plumbing NC II- Guinobatan, Albay | June 7June 30, 2011The said trainings were sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare Development Regional Office V, Local Government Units of Guinobatan, Ligao, Libon,Tabaco, Malinao, and Tiwi.

After completion of their training, the trainees were assessed and certified by the TESDA Assessors in Motorcycle/Small Engine Servicing (M/SES) NC II, Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II, Carpentry NC II, and Plumbing NC II, and they were issued National Certificate II or NC II and the others who did not passed the assessment they were given Certificate of Competency or COC.

Ms. Leonor Diaz conducted an orientation in Pinagbobong, Tabaco last May 3, 2011 with Mr. Danny Arkhel B. Bitara, trainer in EIM NC II.

In consonance with the 17th TESDA Anniversary celebration, the PTC-Malilipot conducted Tree Planting activity on August 24, 2011 at Brgy. Basud, Malilipot, Albay just few meters away from the center to support the National Greening Program of the government. It was participated in by the staff as well as the trainees of various trade areas.

TESDA SPECIALISTA was conducted by PD Liwanag last November 24, 2011 to the graduates of Carpentry, Plumbing, Masonry, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, and Construction Painter. There are 10 graduates who are selected as Specialistas. Two Specialistas representing each trade areas.

TESDA PTC-Malilipot in coordination with DWRC-FM and Araw Media Production Center announced the job opening of Al Rafedain Manpower International Corporation for the following trade areas: Automotive, Welding, Carpentry, and Plumbing. The employment assistance lasted for 3 days at PTC-Malilipot last October 25-27, 2011. Ms. Vivian C. Cainong, Agency Representative of Al Rafedain Manpower International Corporation, interviewed the 150 applicants. Further, Ms. Cainong requested the applicants to fill-up application forms, Personal Data Sheet, and other prerequisites for application purposes. Ms. Cainong said the application will be sent to Middle East.
