• Single college district 70 miles NE of Los Angeles, High Desert
• Covers 40% of the landmass of L.A County and part of Kern County; an area of 2000 sq. miles.
• Service area includes 15 communities with population of over half a million persons.
• Approx. 11,000 FTES, 25,000 students unduplicated headcount with more than 50% younger than 24 years old.

What did we do?
• In 2000, the Antelope Valley Math-Science Engineering-Technology Consortium MSET was formed and has since morphed into RAVE: Revolutionizing Antelope Valley Education
• CSU Fresno, CSU Long Beach, Cal Poly Pomona establish local undergraduate and graduate engineering programs while CSU Bakersfield provides programs in Teacher Preparation and Business
