SOUTH KITSAP FIRE AND RESCUE

RESOLUTION NO: 2011-05

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners (“Commission”) of South Kitsap Fire and Rescue(“District”), has an obligation to notify the Kitsap County Assessor regarding the District’sbudgetary requirements for the fiscal year, 2012; now, therefore, in compliance therewith

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF SOUTH KITSAP FIRE AND RESCUE ASFOLLOWS:

1. For information purposes, the County Assessor has notified the Commission  that thepreliminary assessed valuation of real properties lying within the boundaries of the District forthe calendar year 2011 is $6,405,711,448. The population of the District is over 10,000.

2. Attached hereto is Exhibit “A”, which by this reference is incorporated herein and madea part hereof. Exhibit A is hereby is adopted as the budget of South Kitsap Fire and Rescuefor the calendar year 2012 (*Exhibit “A” to be submitted 1/1/2012);

3. The Board of County Commissioners of Kitsap County, Washington, is herebyrequested to certify the District’s two levies (Regular Tax Levy and Emergency Medical

Services Levy) for the year 2012 as identified in Section 4 hereof; and

4. The County Treasurer of Kitsap County, Washington, is hereby authorized and directedto deposit and sequester the monies received from the collection of the tax levy regarding theDistrict’s Regular Tax Levy and Emergency Medical Services levy, in the amounts and fundsspecified below:

A. $ 8,845,542 into the Expense Fund of said District

B. $_____3,214,526_  ___ into the Emergency Medical Services Fund as special levyfunds.

5. One copy of this resolution together with one copy of Exhibit “A” shall be delivered tothe

Assessor of Kitsap County, Washington.
