Come Join Us!We meet as a group at the layout every Friday evening starting about 8 PM. Some folks leave at 10PM, some stay until midnight or so, and a group of night owls usually adjourn to a nearby Mini Gourmet Diner to talk trains until the wee hours.

Benefits of Membership: • Welcomes members of all skill and

experience levels.

• Not a small layout— Driving a train provides the opportunity to actually run a significant time and distance.

• Regular members have access to the club at all times.

• Monthly DCC Operating sessions allows for folks to learn and experience all roles.

• In addition to multiple roles during operations there are also a variety of trains to run. Some point to point and other require a bit more thought as they involve a deal of switching.

• No service requirement, no tenure, no seniority.

• Freelance layout. As a member you can bring your road name, rolling stock and locomotives to run on SVL.

• Opportunities available to build an industry as well as work on scenery.

• SVL gives back. SVL hosts sessions for community groups.

• Dues and other contributions are typically tax deductible. SVL is a registered 501(c)(3) corporation.

All potential new members receive a 90 day trial membership at a fully refundable cost of $20 per month. At the end of trial membership your application is voted upon at the next business meeting by the club membership.

SVL is now offering Operations Only Memberships, in addition of our Regular Memberships. These Operations Memberships are offered with reduced membership dues and are subject to availability. For those not so close to us we offer Non-Resident memberships.
