Parrish was Ball State’s quarterbacks coach in 2005 and pro-moted to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2006. In 2008, he was one of fi ve fi nalists for the Broyles Award, which goes to the top assistant coach in the nation. Parrish engineered a 2008 Ball State offense which helped the Cardinals to a 12-2 record, an 8-0 Mid-American Conference mark, the MAC West Division Championship and the fi rst back-to-back bowl games in school history. Ball State’s offense ranked 12th in the nation in passing effi ciency, 17th in total offense, 18th in scoring offense, 24th in passing offense and 31st in rushing offense in 2008. Parrish spent six years on the staff at the University of Michigan, where he worked with former Ball State head coach Brady Hoke. He was the quarterbacks coach each year at Michigan plus was the team’s offensive co-ordinator in 2000 and 2001.
