After two years, three global circumferences and well over 150,000 miles flown with a message of LOVE in hand and cameras strapped around our necks, the United Air-Miles have finally piled up. We’re excited to share that ALL of our summer travel plans for this year have been covered by air-miles...

THREE CHEERS FOR AIR-MILES!

As you may know, this has been a very draining season of life for us, as Diane has been battling the debilitating after effects of a bacteria that she picked up in Haiti. All of the physical, emotional and spiritual strain that has come with the sickness has left us weary. Even so, we are filled with HOPE as we continue to fight daily against this sickness and continue our work with PhotogenX to further the Kingdom of God in the margins of society. We are in need of a l i t t le rest and relaxation, TLC, encouragement... ALL OF THE ABOVE. More than ever we are so anxious to BBQ

with family and friends, to sleep in comfy beds for a change, watch movies and stargaze with kindreds, and chat about dreams and hopes and the abundant life we have in Jesus Christ over coffee and tea. We want to sing songs and tell stories and hear yours. We are so looking forward to all of these things that remind us that we are part of a much bigger picture. A FAMILY. The BODY of Christ. YOU.

So, please, mark your calendars. We would love to connect with as many of you as possible during our slightly-longer-than-normal-time on the mainland this summer.

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful and let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.” HEBREWS 10:24

Yes, it’s true! And our hearts are going to burst with excitement.

Ministry UpdateWe press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God have called us heavenward in Christ Jesus. PHILIPPIANS 3:14

The 2010 PhotogenX Discipleship Training School is in full swing and will be doing outreaches this Summer to India, the Philippines, Central/South America (an overland trip from LA to Panama), Haiti and the Dominican Republic. So many amazing opportunities have presented themselves in these places to bring a Voice to the Voiceless. Our teams will be collaborating with Prostitution Ministries, YWAM Megacities in Mexico, Homes of Hope, Haiti Relief, Trafficking Safe Houses, and many more. Midway through their outreaches (usually the most difficult point!) in August Steve will be visiting teams in Costa Rica and Haiti to bring focus, pastoral care and to make sure they are on track with the ministry that they are involved in. Diane will stay in New Jersey during this time and we will reunite in Hawaii. Please keep our teams in your prayers that God would use them in amazing ways to lift up the broken. Pray also for safety for Steve as he travels.

Our Sex+Money (anti-Human Trafficking) project is really making amazing strides towards finishing the documentary film “A National Search For Human Worth” which is set to be released early next year and has a focus specifically on Trafficking within the United States. We have been releasing a number of “Webisodes” online giving snap-shots of the film to raise the issues. Take a look -

The Haiti Project, which we have been involved with on and off since our survey effort last March, has kind of taken on a life of it’s own. We just heard a few weeks ago that one of the business members who attended our Haiti Forum has already put legs to some of our proposals. An entire coffee plantation/community has been built and planted outside of Saint Mark which is now training local Haitians to run the whole operation and sell their own product to support the community. So amazing to think we had a part in kick-starting creative ideas for lasting change. Join us as we continue to pray for our beloved brothers and sisters in Haiti and for the ongoing re-creation efforts of YWAM Haiti along with the whole Body of Christ there.
