In some cases it makes sense to opt for biodegradable plastics? Representatives of the packaging industry, consumers and other interested parties have expressed differing views on this issue during discussions on combating climate change and environmental protection. So far, for an informed decision to be conducted an extensive analysis of the eco-efficiency and carry out an assessment of the product life cycle (LCA), which includes a thorough accounting of resources in the production, use and disposal of plastic material. Designed by specialists concern BASF online tool, called Ecovio ® Eco-Efficiency Compass (E3C), will greatly simplify this procedure. A new computer program gathers all the essential information concerning the production and utilization of individual items. These data, obtained in a series of exhaustive analysis of eco-efficiency, displayed on a computer screen in a form convenient for the user. You can quickly change the various parameters relevant for the evaluation of this product in terms of ecology, as a result of the user immediately gets information about the impact of these parameters on the eco-efficiency product. A simple process of comparing the environmental loads for the various options allows, in particular, to determine whether the (eventual) selection in favor of biodegradable plastic is preferable from an environmental point of view. Ongoing program calculations are based on several analyzes the eco-efficiency, as well as benchmarks that describe the materials, their applications and methods to utilize. In order not to complicate the work, these parameters remain behind the scenes. Moreover, some variables had previously given the appropriate values. For example, experience shows that when considering the full product life cycle energy use in the production of the film has very little impact on the eco-efficiency carrier bags, made from this film. Purchase opinion:

We have witnessed continuous down fall in polymers at international level. Last week’s global polymer report is down with an average of 25-35 $,which has lead the domestic mfgrs. to decrease their domestic Selling rate in accordance with downfall in respective polymer. As per us now HDPE & HM-HDPE is almost close to the lowest bottom ,or at lowest range,we are of the opinion that traders & manufacturer can start purchasing same either for immediate sale or for the purpose of inventory.HPL has signed contract with domestic parties for the supply of mat.during the month of July,2010. In PP, Random Copolymer & Impact co polymer is under short supply from company end. LDPE is also under short supply since long.In this grades,purchaser need not require to wait to avail material at company price list rate.And at the Same time procurement should be not more than their routine requirement for next 15 days.

Details of last rate revision are available on very 1st page of this sheet. Now International Polymer Prices are towards stability especially in PE.PP homo polymer is increasing this may be "U " turn of trend in Poly-Propylene’s.
