INSIDE FELTWhen Jim Felt built his rst bicycle rame in the early 90s he did it or

one reason: to make the rider aster. At every turn, Jims career has alwaysocused on helping athletes achieve their best possible perormances.

Since its inception, Felt Bicycles has grown beyond its racing roots, butthe guiding principle remains unchanged. Any time someone rides a Feltbicycle, we want that experience to be the very best possible. Whetherracing the steepest climbs o the Tour de France, transitioning rom

the swim to mashing the island o Kona, to bombing a local singletrack,or commuting to work, a Felt bicycle should always t the rider or idealperormance and maximum comort, and should take the riders energy andturn it into motion as eciently as possible. This quest remains our ongoingcommitment.

Our company creed is simple: To design, develop and deliver the bestbicycles in the world. Period.

Rewind to 1991. With more than a dozen years experience in metalabrication, building rames and designing tubing or Easton, ex-promotocross mechanic Jim set out to help one o the athletes he worked withwhen he began competing in triathlons. Jim had a simple revelation: mostbicycle rames didnt allow riders to make the best use o their aero bars.So he built a rame that put the rider in the most aerodynamic positionpossible. It seems a simple idea today, but it was radical or the time.Desire or such products grew rapidly. By 1999, Jim wanted to capitalize on

his experience and knowledge with designing high perormance bicyclesby bringing new benets to more riders. Enter Bill Duehring and MichaelMuellmann. Bill wanted to be part o a bike company that could capitalizeon his years o product development experience and expertise, along withhis strong relationships with suppliers all over the world. Michael owned asuccessul distribution company in Europe and also wanted to be part o aproduct-driven brand.

It was easy or the three to agree on a direction because they had the samegoal: a bicycle company dedicated to unparalleled quality and technology.Jim brought a name, design experience and athlete relationships. Bill hadbroad-based product development knowledge and vendor relationshipexperience plus the ability to deliver great bikes. Michael had the knowledgeand experience in distribution.

A bicycle company had never been established with so much experiencerom day one. The day Felt incorporated, it already had more than 70 years

combined experience developing, manuacturing and selling high-qualitybicycles. Since those early days Felt Bicycles has operated with a singlegoal: to make the best products possible. We dont want to be the biggestbike company in the world, just the best, is a maxim oten uttered by Jim,Bill or Michael.

In the years since, the company has grown to be one o the most respectedbrands in cycling through a simple recipe: Number one, have a sta thatssecond-to-none. And two, always stay true to the core mission. Whether inengineering, product development, sales, marketing or customer service,

the same underlying values that propelled Jim, Bill and Michael to start thecompany drive every employee, every day. On top o education, experienceand vision, it is passion that most inspires what we do.

With passion comes success. However measuredwhether in productdevelopment, milestones or race winsFelt has succeeded. The worldsastest UCI-legal TT bike, the DA with the Bayonet 2 steering system, isa shining example. The TK1the worlds ast UCI-legal track bike, whichdebuted at the 2008 Beijing Olympicsis another. Proprietary technologiessuch as our own carbon ber abrication methodologies, award-winningEquilink suspension, the Bayonet Steering System, Ultra-Hybrid Carbonwith Nano Technology, one-piece integrated dropout stays and monocoque

handlebars are just a ew examples. No other companys products can makesuch bold claims.

On the competition ront, it is hard not to gush about some o ourachievements. The Garmin/Slipstream Pro Cycling Team has accomplishedmuch in a short period o time. They have amassed race wins across theglobe and developed into one o the worlds top teams. Felt-sponsored trackracers have ridden the TK1 to World Championships, national records, anOlympic medal and more. Our world-class multi-sport roster owns bothOlympic gold medals rom Beijing and more triathlon titles than any othercompetitors. This is the type o success that really drives Felt.

And as invigorating as victory can be, we recognize that going ast is notthe ultimate goal o all cyclists. We understand that the best possible bikemeans dierent things to dierent people. Our cruisers are long on comorand unparalleled in style. They are widely considered the nest on themarket. Our Ca series o bikesthe perect answer to soaring gasoline

costs and a reduced carbon ootprintrepresent a real-world answer orthose who need a more practical and ecient vehicle. Our xies and X:Citylines combine style, simplicity and soul into design-specic products thatwill change the way you think about a bike. Ater all, its the journey thatreally counts.

We eel that the 2010 Felt line o bicycles and products is our best ever, and we believe i you choose a Felt you have selected a bicycle that is thevery nest in its class. We think our bikes make each and every cyclingexperience that much more enjoyable. We hope you do, too.

As the makers o the worlds astest time trial and track bikes - the DA and

TK1 - Felt has a proven track record o creating the most aerodynamicallyadvanced solo-eort bikes. Challenged in 2008 by the pro road racers o theGarmin/Slipstream team to apply its unmatched aerodynamic know-how to aroad bike, Felt engineers created the AR. It debuted at the 08 Tour de Franceand quickly established itsel as the new standard in road racing machines. Its no wonder - at the speeds racers travel, aerodynamic eciency can bethe dierence between winning and losing.

Following cues rom the DA time trial bike, the AR is designed with apurpose-built down tube, head tube, chainstays, seatstays, ork blades and awheelwell-conorming seat tube. The AR also eatures the shielded internalcable routing ound in the DA to maximize aerodynamic advantage. Theresult o this design is immediate and tangible. Against its true adversarythe windthe ARs advantage is clear. Testing sessions at the San DiegoLow Speed Wind Tunnel acility proved that, depending on speed and windconditions, a rider can reasonably expect to save rom 58 to 75 seconds per

hour o riding when compared to a bike with round rame tubes in similarconditions. To date, it is the astest aero road bike ever tested.

    THE ARSERIES

The AR is the bike that Garmin/Slipstream riders use any time they put

a nose in the wind. Its the perect machine or sticking a breakaway, orbringing one back. Ater receiving his new AR a ew weeks beore the 2008Tour de France, Will Frischkorn rode it to immediate success. On stage 3 othe race, he spent the entire day in a breakaway and ultimately took secondplace. The setting was perect: a grueling ve-hour stage with just our menin the break meant at least 1-1/4 hours at the ront or Frischkorn. Sincethen, the AR has been used week-in and week-out by Garmin/Slipstreamriders as a critical part o their equipment stable.

Like all Felt road bikes, the AR has crisp handling characteristics withthe stiness and ride quality or which Felt is known. We use only the nesmaterials available including our proprietary blends o carbon ber. The endresult is a bike like no other.

Beyond the rame, each AR is outtted with a complement o truly race-ready parts. From aerodynamic wheels to fawless drivetrains and gearingthats suited to racing speeds, the AR-series bikes are designed and built to

deliver you to your astest perormance ever.

    THE Z

    SERIES

The Z is built to make every ride more enjoyable by maximizing rider comort over the long haulWhether youre racing or trying to complete an all-day epic, comort is key to perormance. With thain mind, Felt took the assured handling o the time-tested F-series and modied the positioning. Theact is, many o the bikes raced to victory at the Tour de France over the years were a bit dierent romthe race bikes popular today. Those bikes were stable on descents, oered great vibration damping

to lessen atigue, and eatured a slightly more upright rider position. These design elements and ridecharacteristics went into the creation o the Z.

Z-series rames use a slightly longer head tube to give greater choice in handlebar and overall riderposition. They also eature a sloping top tube or increased stand-over clearance and they benetrom improved vertical compliance due to a more exposed seatpost. The Z eatures a slightly longerwheelbase or condent handling at any speed. Even with these modications, the Z still packs thesame torsional stiness and bottom bracket rigidity as our legendary F bikes. It all adds up to a bikethat can be ridden in classic ull-race position, yet also provides options.

Even with its distinctly dierent look and adjustability it would be a mistake to think o the Z as a nonperormance-oriented bike. Nearly hal o the Garmin/Slipstream pros, including Dan Martin, TrenLowe and Will Frischkorn, choose the Z or select races.

Whether you choose a Z model with its UHC Nano or one o the lightweight aluminum/carbon modelsyoull get that same assured handling and race-worthy stiness or a ride thats as responsive as it iscondence-inspiring.

All Z-series bikes are built with the right components or the ideal t, plus gearing or any terrain

and unmatched reliability. Each bike is equipped with either a compact or triple crankset combined witha wide-range cassette to make tackling hills a cinch no matter your speed. I ever there was a bike toinspire you to reach new heights, the Z is it.

    THE ZWSERIES

When Felt launched its now-heralded line owomens bicycles three years ago, it was or onesimple reason: Traditional bicycle t and womensneeds didnt match. Now, on the heels o the extremelysuccessul debut o the Fit Woman Felt is pleasedto present this newly expanded category o bikesdesigned exclusively or women - the 2010 ZW line.

The goal o the ZW line is to honestly address theunique needs o women cyclists with a line o bikesthat considers every anatomical issue. While somemanuacturers make minor adjustments such asswitching a saddle and changing the color, Felt starts

rom scratch. The ZW rame is based on the popular Z-series

bikes. Thanks to a longer wheelbase, the ZW enjoysthe same assured handling o the Z. It also oers morehandlebar positioning choices, a sloping top tube orsuperior stand-over clearance, and improved verticalcompliance due to a more exposed seatpost.

With the main design criteria in place, Felt reverse-engineered the geometry by zeroing in on the desiredt. Because a womans body has distinctly dierentproportions than a mans, simply making a smallerrame doesnt cut it. Felt engineers pored over themeasurements. We spoke in depth with our prowomen athletes. The result is our precise women-specic sizes to t any body type.

The ZW bikes are built with the same materialsas Z-series bikes, but the lay-up is customized or

women. The top-o-the-line ZW model uses Felts unparalleled Ultra-Hybrid Carbon with NanoTech (UHC Nano), careully optimized or womens needs. And the entire ZW line uses smallediameter tubes and thinner tube walls, as well as shorter tube intersections.

As with everything Felt, the ZW line is ocused on perormance. Felt triathlete and 2008 BeijingOlympic Gold Medalist Emma Snowsill all 5 3 o her - is living proo o whats possible whenriding a high-perormance, perectly sized bike. In winning the ITU World Championship threetimes, Snowsill has put the ZW through its paces. No matter what the course dishes out, she hasa bike optimized or her t. Its sti enough or maximum perormance, light enough to keep herfying over hills and designed with just enough vertical compliance or her size. World Championtrack racer Sarah Hammer also races the ZW whenever she takes to the road.

Beyond the rame, other ZW women-specic parts and components include slightly shortecranks and careully selected compact gearing; shorter stems and a narrower, shallowerhandlebar; brake levers with adjustable reach or smaller hands; a comortable women-specicseat, and more.

So what does it all mean? It means that nally there is a bike you can call your own. A bike thatscomortable, invigorating, motivational and thoroughly enjoyable.

    THETT/TRISERIES

There is no greater measure o speed than the passage o time. Stop the clock sooner than thecompetition and it means one thing: You were astest. In an individual event, whether a Time Trial oTriathlon, there is no hiding. No drating. Man and machine versus the elements. And the clock. Incycling, a TT is known as the race o truth. Since the beginning, and or nearly 20 years, Felt hasdedicated itsel to making the astest solo-eort bikes in the world. For 2010, that dedication andcommitment - and the success that comes with it - continues.

Our design process is ar and away the most time-consuming and expensive in the business, butclearly yields the greatest results. Ater extensive internal brainstorming, detailed rider meetings andeedback, and study in airfow and tube shape, we begin by creating modied NACA airoil proles toguide the tube-shaping or maximum advantage over the wind. Beore building a single prototype weuse sotware called Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to test the design in a virtual setting. This

step helps remove much o the early trial-and-error. Once satised with a direction, we build a rstprototype model or wind tunnel testing. This oers the opportunity to rene the design or maximumperormance. Bikes are tested both with and without riders, necessary adjustments are made, and, ineeded, a new prototype is produced. And so on.

Many manuacturers claim to do wind tunnel testing. The dierence is, Felt bikes are wind tunnedeveloped. The end result is clear: The Felt DA is astest TT bike in the world. Look closely at the designinnovations: a 1 head tube or reduced drag coupled with the all-new Bayonet 2 Steering Systemeectively moves the orks steerer outside the rame and increases steering stiness by 60%. Thechainstay-mounted brake reduces aerodynamic drag by 4%. Internal brake and shiter cable routingaids in uninterrupted airfow. A ront-wheel-conorming downtube smoothes airfow rom the ronwheel across the entire bike. Horizontal rear dropouts keep the rear wheel neatly tucked into the wheelwell-shaped seattube. Finally, an aerodynamic seattube-conorming seatpost reduces wind drag. It aladds up to a bicycle design that is unparalleled when it comes to racing against the clock.

On the competition ront, the real-world results o Felts elite athletes reinorce the wind tunnel dataGarmin/Slipstream time-trialists Bradley Wiggins, Christian Vande Velde, Dave Zabriskie, David Millar

Svein Tut and others have racked up more TT wins than any other team; Felts unrivaled pro triathlonroster o Tim DeBoom, David Thompson, Fraser Cartmell, Michellie Jones, Becky Lavelle and EmmaSnowsill put it to the test week in and week out. No other TT/Tri bike is as successul as the DA.

Every Felt TT/Tri bike is outtted with a ull complement o go-ast parts. No matter what your budgeteach one is built to give you every aerodynamic advantage possible. With Felt, your best perormancehas never been more attainable.

One bike, one gear, one question: Who is theastest? In track racing, its oten just the riderand bike against the clock. Theres a reason Feltputs so much eort into helping competitivetrack racers achieve their dreams. Its theultimate proving ground or our ideas.

The TK1 was a natural, almost unavoidableresult o our experience. We knew our carbonber was the best available. We knew ouraerodynamic designs were the best aroundand had resulted in the worlds astest TT bike. And we knew that ractions o a second are thedierence between winning and losing. In justover one year, the Felt TK1 became the most

desired and sought-ater track bike in the world.Inspired by the solo-eort technology that

is embodied in the DA, and built with Feltsexemplary Ultra-Hybrid Carbon with Nano Techin a track-specic rame and ork, the TK1 is in aleague o its own. Developed using CFD sotwareand multiple trips to the wind tunnel, the TK1took the lessons learned rom developing theDA as a starting point. We used proven geometryto give it precise handling or even the tightestvelodromes. We rened the Bayonet SteeringSystem or the needs o the track and designed

a new stem to give riders even more choices inposition. The results speak or themselves: twoWorld Championships, several National titlesand records, an Olympic medal and much moreAsk world-class trackies Sarah Hammer, JimmyWatkins, Michael Blatchord, Adam Duvendeckand Travis Smith and theyll conrm it: The TKis the stiest, strongest, astest UCI-legal trackbike in the world.

Every Felt track bike, rom the world-beating TK1 to the value-packed TK3, is madewith aerodynamic considerations. The TK2and TK3 use aluminum tubing shaped by thesame aerodynamic principles that guided the

development o the TK1. All our bikes eature CNCmachined dropouts and internally-machinedbottom bracket shells. Track-specic geometryoers immediate sprint responsiveness andprecise steering necessary or any sprint orendurance event.

While the TK1 is available only as a ramesetthe TK2 and TK3 are complete bikes and eachhas been specd with parts to make them ideallysuited to track competition. No gears, no brakesno distractions. Just you, your bike and thenish line.

For those lookingto race all year long, cyclocross can be the perect way to stay competitiveand keep your tness ne-tuned through the all and winter months. OurFX-series bikes combine all the high -perormance eatures o a serious

cross rig with real world versatility that makes it a practical addition toyour quiver.

In cyclocross, having a lightweight bike that perorms in terribleconditions is a must. It has to eel condent in dirt, sand, mud or snow, shitlike new, stop instantly and be easily shouldered or dismounts. Failure todo any one o these can spoil your day in a hurry.

The heart o Felt cyclocross bikes is proprietary 7005 Superlite aluminumtubing. The rame and ork have maximum clearance to allow or mudshedding, and large tires or increased stability and traction. The downtube, chainstays and seatstays were reduced in diameter and the seattube was butted to increase the rames compliance over the bumpy stu.The top tube is fattened on the underside so its a little riendlier on yourshoulder. We included down tube-threaded cable stops or easy adjustment,one-piece dropouts or stiness and reliability, and water bottle, rack andender mounts or those who might want to use it as a commuter.

Combining the agility and perormance o a cross-country bike with the stability and control o an aggressive trail bike, Feltsaward-winning Virtue line oers the most versatile mountain bikes on the market. With 5 (130mm) o tunable, ully active Equilinksuspension, and a unique blend o cutting-edge rame materials, its equally capable o midnight laps in a 24-hour race or epic all-daytrail rides.

The Virtue Series has been continually rened since its inception three years ago. Modications to the 2010 series include a renedront triangle or incredibly precise trail handling, a slightly lower bottom bracket or greater ride stability and a slackened head tubeangle or improved control on the trail. The Superlite Alloy ront triangle is 100 grams lighter than last year, and this years Virtue2 model now eatures the same carbon ber rear triangle as the Virtue 1, an upgrade that shaves a ull pound o the rame. TheSuperlite Alloy ront triangle with orged and integrated gussets at the most highly stressed rame junctions, along with an internallymachined BB shell and head tube, help maximize strength while keeping weight to a minimum. The result is a more torsionally stirame with the handling characteristics that inspire condence on any trail. This years Virtue Series rames also benet rom a69-degree head angle, one degree slacker than previous models.

Virtue series rear triangles are made with proprietary carbon ber or heat-treated aluminum (depending on model). Cold-orgedlinks are used to increase strength and decrease lateral fex. Every pivot uses sealed cartridge bearings or smooth, precise traveland the pivot axles use a custom thru-shat or improved durability and strength.

The Virtue eatures custom-valved shocks that keep the suspension active in all terrain. While many rame designs rely on platormdamping to reduce unwanted suspension movement, Felts Equilink allows the shock to do its job without the rider infuencingsuspension perormance. On the Virtue One, Foxs Pro Pedal eature allows the rider to urther tune the ride or all trail conditionsIts everything you need to ride any trail with more speed, comort and eciency than you ever dreamed possible.

Equally capable o tackling an enduro gravity event or an all-day, all-mountain epicCompulsion is Felts do-it-all trail machine. With patented Equilink suspension and 6(150mm) o ully active travel, the Compulsion is the pinnacle o all-mountain perormanceGet up the hill aster and devour the most technical descents with greater ease.

The 2010 Compulsion series - with new hydro-ormed tubes - is now lighter, strongerand stier. The weight o every model was reduced or more agile perormance on thetrail, and the new models eature head angles that are one degree slacker (now 67.5degrees) or improved handling in aggressive, technical terrain. In addition, the stinessand strength o every Compulsion rame has been bolstered by the use o all-new orgingslinks and hardware. Cartridge bearings ensure smooth travel, and the pivot axles havebeen updated with a new custom thru-shat or improved durability and strength.

So how did we make the Compulsion as capable on the climbs as it is the descents?Easy. Felts patented Equilink suspension system completely equalizes all negativeinfuences rom pedaling and braking. This eliminates the need or a clever shock withlots o platorm or compression damping to imitate true eciency. With Equilink, theCompulsion produces such ecient and compliant pedaling you will eel like you areriding a 3 travel bike. To maximize perormanceon the trail, we tweaked the head angle andadded a ork that produces the same trail asthe Six series. We also built rames with thesame bottom bracket height as our Six bikes- lower than most other 29 bikes - to keep itresponsive, give it a low center o gravity, and

But thanksto our curved seat tube and orged chainstay yoke on the aluminum rames, we were able to keepthe chainstays short without interering with the ront derailleur. The demands or a competitive 26 wheel cross-country race bike are numerous. It must be strong enough to withstandpunishing terrain, light enough to fy up rugged, technical trails, and stable enough to track fawlessly through everythingrom rock gardens to sand and slimy roots. That, in a nutshell, describes Felts Six series mountain bikes. Well-rounded,without weakness.

To achieve such an exemplary blend o eciency, ride quality and durability, Felt relies on its unmatched experiencein building high-perormance carbon ber bicycles. The ramesets eatured in the Six Series oer the best balance ostrength, durability, stiness and light weight thats currently on the market. Raced week in and week out by dedicated pro

Like the carbon ber Nine, the Six uses a one-piece integrated carbon ber seatstay/dropout/chainstay section thatincreases strength and stiness while decreasing weight. Carbon bers ability to take any shape allows or excellenttire clearance without sacricing chainring clearance. As a result, the Six oers the optimal combination o drivetraineciency and tire clearance o any Felt mountain bike.

Each o the 2010 Six models - the sub-20-pound Six LTD thats equipped with ull XTR components, the Six Team and SixElite - are race-ready right out o the box. Felt product managers have chosen parts with one eye on lightweight World Cuprace perormance, and another on every-day durability. Even though its right at home with the most elite cross-countryathletes, Six is more than just a disposable, one-season race bike. Race it one week, take it on an epic trail ride the next.Find out or yoursel how the Six series redenes the possibilities o an XC Race mountain bike.

FELT BAYONET TT/TRI BAR CARBON/ALLOY FELT BAYONET TT/TRI BAR ALLOYDEVOx CARBON TT/TRI BAR

PARTS ANDACCESSORIESWhile Felt has produced high-quality parts and accessories or years, we recognized an opportunity in

2009 to bring a higher level o engineering and quality to road and mountain bike parts. With that was bornDevox. Each o these products was designed by the same team o engineers responsible orsignature Feltproducts including the World Championship-winning DA TT/Triathlon bike, the Bayonet steering systemand the patented Equilink suspension.

From carbon ber handlebars, orks and seatposts to saddles and even tires, the Devox name is reservedor the best o the best. Granted a no-limits approach to engineering and materials, our team re-imaginedall design and perormance possibilities and created new standards.

It starts with cutting-edge materials. Not only do we use the best available, but we also match thematerial to the specic demands o each individual part. We use the highest quality carbon ber or allDevox handlebars, saddles and orks. Lightweight road stems use 7000-series aluminum with titaniumhardware. Ready-or-action o-road stems use hardened cr-mo bolts or unsurpassed strength andsecurity.

The Devox TT/Tri bar is a perect example o the lengths Felt will go or superior product development. Our goal was simple: Create the best aero bar in the world or time trialists and triathletes. It had to besuper strong, ultra light, completely adjustable and aerodynamically superior to anything else availableThe end result is a fip-fop designed, monocoque carbon ber base bar with multi-adjustable extensions. It is wind tunnel developed, tested and proven. Nothing is aster or oers greater adjustability. And this is

just one example. All Devox products receive this same level o detailed design attention. In the end, it is the engineering expertise, material selection and design testing that allows Felt to

create parts that help you ride arther, aster and with greater control. It all adds up to a more enjoyableexperience every time you ride.
