• Establishment of baseline measures.• 18 organizations including 121 programs used the Homeless Management Information System to collect and report data.• Eliminating duplication and creating efficiencies.

System TransformationDuring the past year, several new initiatives have been launched to enhance the responsiveness of the homeless services system.

Bringing People HomeCentral to the Fairfax-Falls Church 10-Year Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness is the development of more affordable housing units for the most vulnerable of our neighbors.
• Developing 2,650 new affordable and services-appropriate housing units.• Housing Options Subcommittee.• Housing Blueprint.

ChallengeOver the past year, the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing program (HPRP) has helped close to 900 people receive the services and support they needed to prevent or end their homelessness.
• More than $1.7 million allocated of these federal stimulus funds to be provided over 3 years; close to $1.55 million spent in the first 14 months.• At this rate, financial assistance available through HPRP will be exhausted any day.
