You can submit photos for both themes or just one. You can only submit 5 photos per theme, giving an entrant a maximum of 10 photos they may submit.

Submit your best photos highlighting one of the themes for a chance to see it featured in our facilities or on the mymanatee.org website!

Winning photos will be displayed in our build-ings or on the mymanatee.org web site. Photos may be submitted in digital format only. See contest rules for details.

Entries for the Photo Contest must be received by Friday, May 17, 2010, at 4:30 p.m.

Please read the complete contest rules before entering.

Thank you for your interest in Manatee County Government’s Employee Photo Contest!

This year, the contest has two themes:

The Scenic Manatee County and The Real Manatee County.

Scenic Manatee CountyWhen one thinks of Manatee County they envision sugar-sand beaches, waving palm trees, azure waters and beautiful sunsets and sunrises. This is the Scenic Manatee County.

Bottom line: If you choose to enter this cat-egory, your mission is to capture a photo that “sells” Manatee County as the perfect vacation destination or captures a similar scene.

The Real Manatee CountySunsets, beaches and the like can get boring to the regular Manatee County citizen. They want to get to the heart or history of their County.

Manatee County is home to a variety of build-ings, businesses, neighborhoods and cultures whose history intertwines with that of the County or makes up the other half of the County that focuses on community and business. This is the Real Manatee County.

Bottom line: If you choose to enter this catego-ry, your mission is to capture a photo that gives

the “flavor” of Mana-tee County. It should bring forth something that can only be found in Manatee County. It should be something that shows our visitors and guests that we aren’t just beaches. We’re that and a lot more!
