Edgar Allan Poe, the dark and brooding poet and master of the

macabre, seldom entertained, but on those few occasions when

he felt the need for companionship, he would attempt to be a

convivial host. He is joined tonight by two male acquaintances,

surprised and pleased to receive an invitation to dine. Edgar has

made a significant effort - utilizing his deceased wife’s Royal

Doulton china, assorted silver and family crystal. It’s Halloween –

Edgar’s favorite night of the year.
