OUR MISSION The Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation is a non-profit public charity founded in 2008 by Jack and Kim Johnson to promote positive and lasting change within communities by supporting organizations that focus on environmental, art, and music education. 2010 HIGHLIGHTS In association with the 2010 Jack Johnson “To The Sea” tour and the All At Once community, the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation partnered with 220 non-profit groups around the world focusing on plastic free initiatives and sustainable local food systems, as well as environmental education and other hands-on community projects. In response to the 2010 Gulf Oil Spill, the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation provided direct and matching donations to non-profits working on relief efforts in the region including the Gulf Waterkeepers, the Gulf Restoration Network, and the National Wildlife Federation. The Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation distributed nearly $579,000 in grants and donations in 2010 and has made over $1 million in grants and donations to over 300 non-profits to date. 2010 ANNUAL REPORT GRANTEE SPOTLIGHT FOOD FOR THOUGHT OJAI brings locally grown fruits and vegetables, nutrition education, and agricultural literacy to children in their community.
