How do I register for the Teradata 12 Qualifying Exam for V2R5 Masters (TE0-12Q) or the Teradata 12 Comprehensive Mastery Exam (TE0-127)? When you become eligible for a Teradata 12 Mastery exam please follow these steps:

Why do I (a V2R5 Master) need to take a Qualifying Exam? During the development of the Teradata 12 Comprehensive Mastery Exam, the TCPP Exam Development team determined that a Qualifying Exam for V2R5 Masters was needed to assure that all Teradata 12 Masters have the underlying knowledge from the six core Teradata 12 exams:

Teradata 12 Basics (TE0-121) Teradata 12 SQL (TE0-122) Teradata 12 Physical Implementation and Design (TE0-123) Teradata 12 Database Administration (TE0-124) Teradata 12 Solutions Development (TE0-125) Teradata 12 Enterprise Architecture (TE0-126)

The Teradata 12 Qualifying Exam for V2R5 Masters (TE0-12Q) was created as a single exam that covers all the exam objectives from the six core Teradata 12 exams. Teradata V2R5 Masters will have the option to take one exam instead of six exams to become eligible for the Teradata 12 Comprehensive Mastery Exam (TE0-127). I thought V2R5 Masters had to take only one exam to become a Teradata 12 Certified Master. The full set of requirements for the Teradata 12 Certified Master certification was finalized during the development of the Teradata 12 Comprehensive Mastery Exam. Per the TCPP website in 2010-Q1:

The Teradata V2R5 Certified Masters upgrade path will be announced during the Teradata 12 Comprehensive Mastery Exam beta testing process.

Beta testing for the Teradata 12 Comprehensive Mastery Exam was announced at the end of 2010-Q1 and the requirement for the Qualifying Exam was announced at that time.
