Supra majorities in almost all countries favor U.S withdrawal from Iraq and closing Guantanamo.

But most public’s oppose sending more troops to Afghanistan.

The Israelis, Kenyans and the Americans the only publics to back this decision.

Majorities in NATO countries covered in the survey favor troop withdrawals from Afghanistan, as do most Pakistanis.

Huge majorities of the 25 publics see global warming as a serious problem.

Intensity of concern somewhat less in China and the U.S.

Majorities in 23 of 25 countries favor protecting environment even at the expense of slower economic growth and some loss of jobs.

But only majorities or pluralities in 14 of the 25 publics express willingness to pay higher prices to address climate change.

Little international consensus as country most trusted to deal with the problem of global warming.
