Notes From Gretchen
"They were fabulous! The residents really enjoyed them and could not get over how talented they were! Thank you!"
Classic Residence by Hyatt
"Our residents were smitten by the children, their politeness and talents at their young ages."
Eulaine Hall, Program Chairman, Forest Dale Apartments
“Most of the group seemed subdued and uninvolved but then the miracle happened as we played! They became more animated and we saw feet and hands moving to the music. Some of them never looked up but, as I say, their feet, hands
or fingers would move to the music. Some began to smile when you made eye contact and talked directly to them.
We had such a nice time this morning and felt really good about both concerts.
Staff had assembled lots of people in a horseshoe shaped configuration and there were at least 25 there plus staff of 5. They were a lively, fun loving group. I told the girls that we needed to walk into the center of this group because there was so much room and we could really "reach" them this
way. They really seemed to enjoy our presentation. We had a lot of fun with them as they were very responsive, smiling and talking.”
Editor’s note: Gretchen Nichols (cello) performs with Mary Alice Rich (violin) and Jane Aten (viola) in
the Texas Winds String Trio.
