    Traci Arkenberg to be inducted into UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame

    Traci Arkenberg is set to become the first-ever UCLA women’s soccer player inducted into the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame, as she was recently selected to join seven other former Bruins at this year’s ceremony on Friday, Oct. 3. Arkenberg, who lettered at UCLA from 1994-97, still holds school records in career points (169), goals (71), hat tricks (5) and shots (451). She is also tied with Danesha Adams for No. 1 all-time in career game winning goals with 26. Arkenberg was the first UCLA women’s soccer player to earn first-team All-America honors, earning that distinction as a senior in 1997, She was named Pac-10 Player of the Year and UCLA Female Athlete of the Year that same season. Joining Arkenberg in the class of 2008 will be:

    Traci Arkenberg - 1994-97: Coaching club soccer in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif. Will be inducted into UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame this fall.

    Meredith Bean - 1993: Is a primary care sports medi-cine physician and the director of the Sports Medicine Center at South Sacramento Kaiser Permanente. Completed her sports medicine subspecialty training at the University of Colorado where she worked with the football team and the women’s soccer team,. She also worked with the hockey and men’s and women’s soccer teams at the University of Denver.

    Kendal Billingsley - 2001-04: Currently pursuing a master’s degree in education and a secondary teaching credential at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, Calif.

    Bethany Bogart - 1998-2001: Graduated from UCLA Law School in 2005. Currently working for the law firm of Heller Ehrman LLP in San Diego doing corporate and real estate law.

    Louise Lieberman - 1995-98: Former assistant coach at Cal Poly Pomona. Currently serves as the Director of Coaching for the youth soccer club, LA Rampage FC.

    Michele Lieberman - 1994-96: Graduated from Golden Gate Law School and is studying for the bar exam. Married with two children and is expecting her third in October of this year.

    Skylar (Little) Meinhart - 1996-99: Played three seasons in the WUSA for the Washington Freedom. Currently living in Westchester, Calif. with her husband and one-year-old son. Coaches the women’s club soccer team at LMU and is starting a soccer training company named Champs In Training.

    CiCi Peterson - 1998-2001: Recently earned her MBA in finance at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Still coaches youth soccer in the D.C. area.
