The Libraries Grants Program assisted with 14 external grant proposal submissions, totaling $2,543,664

The Library Mini Grants Program awarded five grants, totaling $24,535


Through library faculty’s efforts and collaboration, the Florida for Tomorrow Capital Campaign total for the Smathers Libraries is $11,456,393 as of June 30, 2009.

The Library Development team also would like to express our appreciation to the library technical services team for their efforts in working with the development team to create and implement virtual bookplates to recognize gifts and endowments.


Launched a new service with the Alumni Association to provide free access to two online databases for members of the association and qualified donors. Since its inception in October, 522 alumni have registered for the service and they have performed over 6,000 searches.


Special thanks go to all library faculty and staff in helping the library development and grants management team in our efforts toward the Library Florida Tomorrow campaign goal.
