cannot be verified, manufactured more thanfour (4) years prior to presentation for adjust-ment.

• Loss of time, inconvenience, loss of vehicleuse, incidental or consequential damages.

WHAT ARE YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS?Some states and provinces do not allow the exclu-sion or limitation of incidental or consequentialdamages, so the above limitations or exclusionsmay not apply to you. No representative or dealerhas authority to make any representation, promise,or agreement on behalf of Goodyear Dunlop TiresNorth America, Ltd. (GDTNA), except as stated here-in.

Any tire, no matter how well constructed, may fail inservice or otherwise become unserviceable due toconditions beyond the control of the manufacturer.Under no circumstances is this warranty a repre-sentation that a tire failure cannot occur.

TIRE CARE AND MAINTENANCE GUIDEThe easiest way to help ensure satisfactory mileageand performance from your Dunlop tires is to givethem a simple but frequent inspection for properinflation, even treadwear, and the presence of anydamage.

DO MAINTAIN PROPER INFLATION PRESSUREIN YOUR TIRESProper inflation pressure is necessary for optimumtire per-formance, safety and fuel economy. Tomaintain proper inflation pressure, frequentlycheck tires (when they are cool) with an accuratetire pressure gauge.*

For example, it is difficult to tell just by looking atradial tires whether they are underinflated.

27

DUNLOP PASSENGER TIRE LIMITED WARRANTY

(cont’d next page...)

Furthermore, when operating a vehicle equippedwith radial tires, it is difficult to notice when a tirehas gone flat or nearly flat since the “feel” of thevehicle does not change significantly.

*Evidence of air loss or repeated underinflationalways requires expert inspection to determinethe source of leakage and tire removal to deter-mine repairability. To avoid injury, NEVER attemptto reinflate a tire that has been run severely under-inflated.

Progressive air loss may result from punctures, cuts, curbing, impacts or partial bead unseating. Somefitment causes for air loss are (1) incomplete beadseating, (2) bead tearing caused by a machine tooldue to insufficient lubrication or improper adjust-ment, (3) leaking valve core or rubber valve compo-nents. These should be replaced when problemsare detected and whenever tires are replaced.

Always maintain inflation pressure at the level rec-ommended by the vehicle manufacturer as shownon the vehicle placard or in the owner’s manual:

Underinflation is the leading cause of tire failureand may result in severe cracking, component sep-aration or “blowout.” It reduces tire load capacity, allows excessive sidewall flexing and increases

rolling resistance, resulting in heat and mechanicaldamage. Maintaining proper inflation pressure isthe single most important thing you can do toensure tire durability and maximum treadlife.

Overinflation increases stiffness, which may deteri-orate ride and generate unwanted vibration.Overinflation also increases the chances of impactdamage.

DON’T OVERLOAD YOUR VEHICLECheck your vehicle owner’s manual to determinethe load limits. Overloading your vehicle placesstress on your tires and other critical vehicle com-ponents. Overloading a vehicle can cause poorhandling, increased fuel consumption and maycause tire failure.

Never fit your vehicle with new tires that have lessload capacity than shown on the vehicle tire plac-ard and remember that optimum rim width isimportant for proper tire load distribution and func-tion.

The maximum load capacity stamped on the side-walls of P-Metric tires is reduced by 10 percentwhen used on a light truck, utility vehicle or trailer.Never fit P-Metric tires to light trucks that specify LT-type replacement tires.

DON’T SPIN YOUR TIRES EXCESSIVELYAvoid excessive tire spinning when your vehicle isstuck in snow, ice, mud or sand. The centrifugalforces generated by a free-spinning tire/wheelassembly may cause sudden tire explosion resultingin vehicle damage and/or serious personal injury toyou or a bystander. Never exceed 35 mph/60 km/has indicated on your speedometer. Use a gentlebackward and forward rocking motion to free yourvehicle for continued driving. Never stand near orbehind a tire spinning at high speed as, for example, while attempting to push a vehicle that is stuck orwhen an on-the-car spin balance machine is in use.

DO CHECK YOUR TIRES FOR WEARAlways remove tires from service when they reachtwo thirty-seconds of an inch (2/32") remainingtread depth. All new tires have treadwear indica-tors which appear as smooth banks in the treadgrooves when they wear to the two thirty-secondsof an inch (2/32") level. Many wet weather acci-dents result from skidding on bald or nearly baldtires. Excessively worn tires are also more suscepti-ble to penetrations.

SIDEWALL TREATMENTSDunlop sidewalls are specially compounded toresist ozone cracking or weather-cracking.

28

DUNLOP PASSENGER TIRE LIMITED WARRANTY

Use a mild soap solution to clean sidewalls, whitestriping or lettering, and rinse off with plain water.Instruct service per-sonnel and customers never toapply any other material to enhance sidewallappearance. These may degrade rubber andremove inherent ozone resistance.

DO CHECK YOUR TIRES FOR DAMAGEFrequent inspection of your tires for signs of dam-age and their general condition is important forsafety. If you have any questions, have your tiredealer inspect them. Impacts, penetrations, cracks, knots, bulges, or air loss always require tire removaland expert inspection. Never perform a temporaryrepair or use an innertube as a substitute for a prop-er repair. Only qualified persons should repair tires.

PROPER TIRE REPAIRNOTE: Dunlop does not warrant any inspection orrepair process. The repair is entirely the responsi-bility of the repairer and should be made in accor-dance with established Rubber ManufacturersAssociation (RMA) procedures.

DON’T ATTEMPT TO MOUNT YOUR OWN TIRESSerious injury may result from explosion of tire/rimassembly due to improper mounting procedures.Follow tire manufacturer’s instructions and matchtire diameter to rim diameter. Mount light truck radi-

als on rims approved for radial service. Do not applybead sealer. This can inhibit bead seating. Lubricatebeads and tire rim (including tube or flap) contactsurfaces. Lock assembly on mounting machine orplace in safety cage. STAND BACK and never exceed40 psi to seat beads. Never use a volatile substanceor a rubber “donut” (also known as a beadexpander or “O-Ring”) to aid bead seating. Onlyspecially trained persons should mount tires.

DON’T MIX TIRES OF DIFFERENT SIZES ANDTYPES ON THE SAME AXLEFor optimum handling and control, Dunlop recom-mends fitment of four (4) tires of the same type andsize unless otherwise specified by the vehicle man-ufacturer.

FOLLOW THESE ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES:Fit newest tires on rear axle. If radials and non-radi-als must be fitted to the same vehicle, fit radials onrear axle. Never mix radials and non-radials on thesame axle. When fitting snow tires or all-seasontires to performance vehicles, always fit in sets forfour. Do not fit tires with different speed ratings.

Use of lift kits with some vehicle/tire combinationscan cause instability. When changing tire sizes, always consult dealer for optimum rim width andcarefully check vehicle/tire clearances.

RETREADED TIRESRetreaded passenger and light truck tires are not war-ranted by Dunlop for any reason. Dunlop speed rat-ings and U.S. Department of Transportation test com-pliance certifications are voided for retreaded tires.

DO MAINTAIN VEHICLE SUSPENSION, WHEELALIGNMENT AND BALANCE AND ROTATEYOUR TIRESLack of rotation, worn suspension parts, underin-flation/over-inflation, wheel imbalance, and mis-alignment can cause vibration or irregular tire wear.Rotate your tires according to your vehicle manu-facturer’s recommendations or at maximum inter-vals of 6,000 miles/10,000 km.

LIGHTWEIGHT TEMPORARY SPARE TIRESIMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS• Limit vehicle speed when using the lightweight

temporary spare tire to 50 mph/80 km/h or less.• Check the inflation pressure before using and

at least weekly. Maintain cold tire pressure inaccordance with that molded on the tire side-wall or found in your vehicle owner’s manual. When inflating or adding air to light-weighttemporary spare tire, be very careful, since thesmaller tire volume can gain pressure quickly.Leave valve core in place and add inflation airin short bursts. Check the pressure often with

29

DUNLOP PASSENGER TIRE LIMITED WARRANTY

(cont’d next page...)

an in-line or hand gauge until the specifiedpressure is reached.

• The lightweight temporary spare tire may lowerground clear-ance when used. Reduce speedand avoid driving over large obstacles orthrough chuckholes and other road hazards.

• Check your car owner’s manual for other specialclearance precautions when using the lightweighttemporary spare tire provided in your vehicle.

• Because your lightweight temporary spare tirewas specifically designed for your car, it shouldnot be used on any other vehicle.

• Do not use snow chains on your lightweighttemporary spare tire. This could cause damageto your vehicle.

• Your lightweight temporary spare has very lim-ited wear potential (up to 300 miles/500 km).

• In order to conserve tire treadlife, the light-weight temporary spare tire should be returnedto your trunk as soon as the standard tire hasbeen repaired or replaced. Never use the spareif treadwear indicator (TWI) bars are exposed orit is worn to the last 2/32" tread depth.

• Do not use your original equipment lightweighttemporary spare tire on any other than its orig-inal equipment rim. The replacement light-weight temporary spare tire must match the

original equipment tire removed from yourlightweight temporary spare rim. Check the tirefor the lightweight temporary spare tire sizemarking designation and compare size mark-ings with those found on both your originallightweight temporary spare and rim.NOTE: Your original equipment lightweight tem-porary spare tire and rim combination is not thesame size as the other tires and rims withwhich your vehicle is equipped. Standard tires, snow tires, conventional wheel covers or rimrings should not be fitted to your lightweighttemporary spare tire rim or assembly.

• Improper mounting can cause tire/rim assemblyexplosion and serious injury. Tire Fitters: Followtire manufacturer’s instructions and match tirediameter to rim diameter. Mount the lightweighttemporary spare tire only on a rim originally fittedwith a temporary spare of the same size.Lubricate beads and rim contact surfaces. Lockassembly on mounting machine or place in asafety cage. STAND BACK; inflate in short burstswith extension hose, clip-on chuck on in-linegauge. Never exceed 40 psi to seat beads or usea volatile substance or a rubber “donut” to aidbead seating. Only specially trained personsshould mount lightweight temporary spare tires.

SAFETY WARNING

Disregarding any of the safety precautions andinstructions contained in the Owner’s Manualor the Important Tire Safety Information in thisbooklet may result in tire failure or explosioncausing serious personal injury or death.

38

CONTINENTAL/GENERAL TIRE LIMITED WARRANTY

Any tire, no matter how well constructed, may faildue to improper maintenance or service factors. This could create a risk of property damage andserious or fatal injury. Disregarding any of the safe-ty precautions and instructions contained in thismanual may result in tire failure or explosion caus-ing serious personal injury or death. For your safe-ty, comply with the following:

TIRE INFLATIONKeep tires inflated to the pressures recommendedon the tire data placard. (See your Owner’s Manualfor location.) These inflation pressures must bemaintained as a minimum. However, do not exceedthe maximum pressure rating indicated on the tiresidewall.

CHECK INFLATION PRESSURES ON ALL YOUR TIRES,INCLUDING THE SPARE, WHEN TIRES ARE COLD, ATLEAST ONCE A MONTH BEFORE DRIVING

Failure to maintain correct inflation may result inimproper vehicle handling and may cause rapidand irregular tire wear, sudden tire destruction, loss of vehicle control and serious personal injury. Therefore, inflation pressures should be checked atleast once a month and always prior to long dis-tance trips.

Pressures should be checked when tires are cold. The tires are cold when your vehicle has been driv-en less than a mile at moderate speed after beingstopped for three or more hours.

CHECKING PRESSURE WHEN TIRES ARE HOTIf you must add air when your tires are hot, add fourpounds per square inch (psi) (28kPa) above therecommended cold air pressure. Recheck the infla-tion pressure when the tire is cold.

For Example Only:

Gauge reading of hot tire: 32psiIf recommended pressure is: 30psiDesired gauge reading of hot tire 30 + 4psi = 34psi

Check cold pressures as soon as possible, at leastby the next day. Never “Bleed” air from hot tires asyour tire will be underinflated. Use an accurate tiregauge to check pressures. Never allow children toair up tires.

DRIVING ON ANY TIRE THAT DOES NOT HAVE THECORRECT INFLATION PRESSURE IS DANGEROUS.

For replacement tires, the correct inflation pressurewill be provided by your tire dealer, if not, refer tothe vehicle decal.

Underinflation produces extreme flexing of thesidewalls and builds up heat which may result insudden tire destruction and serious personalinjury. Overinflation can cause the tire to be moresusceptible to impact damage.

LOAD LIMITSDO NOT OVERLOAD. DRIVING ON ANY OVERLOADEDTIRE IS DANGEROUS. Never load your tires beyondthe load carrying limits molded into the sidewall ofthe tires or the maximum vehicle load limit asshown on the vehicle tire data placard, whicheveris less. Overloading causes heat to build up whichcan lead to sudden tire failure and serious person-al injury.

SPEED LIMITS AND SPEED RATED TIRESHIGH SPEED DRIVING CAN BE DANGEROUS. Neveroperate your vehicle in excess of lawful speeds orthe maximum speeds justified by the driving con-ditions. Excessive speeds or racing can cause heatbuildup in a tire leading to possible failure andserious personal injury.

39

IMPORTANT TIRE SAFETY INFORMATION*

*Provided by and published at the request of the tire manufacturers/warrantors.

Correct inflation pressure is especially important. However, at high speeds, even with the correctinflation pressure, a road hazard, for example, ismore difficult to avoid and if contact is made, thereis a greater chance of causing tire damage than atthe lower speed. Moreover, driving at high speedreduces the reaction time available to avoid acci-dents and bring your vehicle to a safe stop. If yousee any damage to a tire or wheel, replace it withyour spare tire and see your tire dealer at once.

Tire speed ratings do not imply that a vehicle canbe safely driven at the maximum speed for whichthe tire is rated. In addition, some damages orimproper repairs may cause a speed-rated tire tolose its speed rating. Exceeding the tire’s maximumspeed rating will cause the tire to build up exces-sive heat which can cause tire damage that couldresult in sudden tire destruction and rapid air loss.Failure to control a vehicle with sudden air loss canlead to an accident. In any case, you should notexceed reasonable speeds as indicated by thelegal limits and driving conditions.

SPEED SYMBOLS - are shown on the sidewall ofsome tires. The following table shows the maxi-mum speed corresponding to the symbol.

SPEED RATINGS†Speed Maximum MaximumRating km/Hr mph

S 180 112

T 190 118

H 210 130

V* 240 149

Z** 240 149

*Some V (or VR) rated tires may have a speedcapacity of greater than 149 mph (240 km/h).Consult your tire manufacturer for maximum speedratings if your vehicle capability exceeds thisspeed.

**Z (or ZR) rated tires are designed for use on carswith maximum speed capabilities in excess of 149mph (240 km/h). Consult your tire manufacturer formaximum speed capabilities.

†Although a tire may be speed rated, we do notendorse the operation of any vehicle in an unsafeor unlawful manner. Speed ratings are based onlaboratory tests which relate to performance on theroad, but are not applicable if tires are underinflat-ed, overloaded, worn out, damaged, altered, improperly repaired, or retreaded. Furthermore, tire speed ratings do not imply that vehicles can besafely driven at the maximum speed for which thetire is rated, particularly under adverse road andweather conditions or if the vehicle has unusualcharacteristics. Most highway passenger tires thatdo not have a speed symbol in the sidewall have amaximum speed rating of 105 mph. Light truckhighway tires that do not have a speed symbol onthe sidewall of the tire have a maximum speed of 87mph. Some light truck tires may have higher maxi-mum speeds; consult your tire dealer. The speedand other ratings of retreaded tires are assigned bythe retreader and voids the original manufacturer’sratings.

40

IMPORTANT TIRE SAFETY INFORMATION*

*Provided by and published at the request of the tire manufacturers/warrantors.

IMPORTANT: In order to maintain the speed capa-bility of the vehicle, replacement tires must havespeed ratings equal to or higher than those fittedas original equipment (as indicated on the vehicleplacard or owners manual). If tires with lowerspeed ratings are fitted, the speed capability of thevehicle will be lowered to the maximum speedcapability of the replacement tire as indicated onthe above table.Remember...High speed driving can be dangerousand may be damaging to your tires.And...When driving at highway speeds, correctinflation pressure is especially important.

Contact the manufacturer of your tires for theirposition and assistance on the repair of speed-rated tires. When you are replacing tires that havea speed rating, you must replace with tires of thesame or higher speed rating if the speed capabilityof the vehicle is to be maintained.VISUAL INSPECTIONINSPECT YOUR TIRES. DO NOT DRIVE ON A DAMAGEDTIRE OR WHEEL. Check your tires frequently forscrapes, bulges, separations, cuts, snags, cracks, penetrations or excessive localized wear from hardbraking. Also check for abnormal tire wear particu-larly on the edges of the tire tread which may becaused by misalignment or underinflation. Impactscan damage the inner portion of the tire withoutbeing visible on the outside. If damage can be seenon the tires or wheels, or if you suspect that possibleimpact damage may have occurred, replace with

spare at once and have your tire store or dealerinspect your tires immediately. Use of a damagedtire could result in tire destruction. When inspectingyour tires, including the spare, check your air pres-sures. If your pressure check indicates that one ofyour tires has lost pressure of two pounds or more, look for signs of penetrations, valve leakage, orwheel damage that may account for the air loss.

All tires will wear out faster when subjected to highspeeds as well as hard cornering, rapid starts, sud-den stops, frequent driving on roads which are inpoor condition, and off-road use. Roads with holesand rocks or other objects can damage tires andcause misalignment of your vehicle. When youdrive on such roads, drive on them carefully andslowly, and before driving again at normal or high-way speeds, examine your tires for any damage, such as cuts, bulges, penetrations, unusual wearpatterns, etc.

WEAR BARS: Tires contain “Wear-Bars” in thegrooves of the tire tread which show up when only2/32nds of an inch (1.6mm) of tread is remaining. At this stage, your tires must be replaced. Tiresworn beyond this stage are dangerous.HAZARDSObjects in the road that threaten a tire should besafely avoided. These objects are potholes, glass, metal, rocks, wood debris and the like.Unavoidable contact should prompt a thorough tireinspection. You may not always recall hitting anobject that can damage or injure your tires. If while

driving, your vehicle experiences any unusualvibration, ride disturbance or noise and/or you sus-pect that possible damage to the tires or vehiclehas occurred, DO NOT JAM OR LOCK YOUR BRAKES!Rather reduce your speed and drive with cautionuntil you can safely pull off the road. Stop andinspect the tires. If the tire is underinflated or dam-aged, deflate, remove the tire and rim assemblyand replace it with your spare. If you cannot detecta cause, have the vehicle towed to the nearestInfiniti dealer to have the vehicle inspected.REPAIRING, MOUNTING ANDDEMOUNTING OF TIRESDo not attempt to repair, mount or demount a tireyourself. Tire changing can be dangerous and mustbe done by professionally trained persons usingproper tools and procedures as specified by theRubber Manufacturers Association (RMA). Followthese mounting recommendations. Your tiresshould be mounted on wheels of correct size andtype and which are in good, clean condition. Bent, chipped or rusted wheels may cause tire damage. The inside of the tire must be free from foreignmaterials. Have your dealer check the wheelsbefore mounting new tires. Mismatched tires andrims can explode during mounting. Also, mis-matched tires and rims can result in dangerous tirefailure on the road. If a tire is mounted by error onthe wrong-sized rim, do not remount it on the prop-er rim - scrap it. It may be damaged internally(which is not externally visible) by being danger-ously stretched and could fail on the highway.

41

IMPORTANT TIRE SAFETY INFORMATION*

Old valves may leak. When new tubeless tires aremounted, have new valves of the correct typeinstalled. Tubeless tires must be mounted only onwheels designed for tubeless tires, i.e., wheelswhich have safety humps or ledges.

Never perform a temporary repair, use an innertubeor inject sealant as a permanent substitute for a prop-er repair. Only qualified persons should repair tires.

Be sure that all your valves have suitable valvecaps. This will keep valve cores clean and clear andguard against leakage.REPAIRSWHENEVER POSSIBLE, SEE A TIRE DEALER AT ONCE.Some tire manufacturers do not warrant any inspec-tion or repair process. The repair is entirely theresponsibility of the repairer. Punctures in the treadof a passenger tire which do not exceed 1/4 of aninch (6mm) in diameter can usually be repaired byfollowing the Rubber Manufacturers Association(RMA) Passenger and Light Truck Repair procedures.Contact the manufacturer of your tires for its posi-tion and assistance as to the acceptable location fora proper repair and the repair of speed rated tires.Do not use plug repairs. They may cause furtherdamage to the tire. They are not always air tightand the plug may fail. Do not exceed posted speedlimits on any repaired tire. Certain tire manufactur-ers speed ratings are voided if the tire is repaired.

Although a tire was properly repaired, internalstructural damage resulting from the puncture mayhave occurred. Some time later the damage maycause the tire to be removed from service. If thetire has a puncture in the tread which exceeds 1/4inch (6mm), the tire must be replaced. If any tirehas sustained a puncture, have the tire inspectedinternally by a tire dealer for possible damage thatmay have occurred.

Improper mounting and inflation procedures cancause an explosion of the tire/rim assembly. Onlyspecially trained persons should perform thesetasks. Contact your tire store or dealer for assistance.

CAUTION - Never, under any circumstance, intro-duce a flammable substance into a tire.WHEEL ALIGNMENT AND BALANCINGWheel alignment and balancing are important forsafety and maximum mileage from your tires.Check how your tires are wearing at least once amonth. If your tires are wearing unevenly, such asthe inside shoulder of the tire wearing faster thanthe rest of the tread, or if you detect excessivevibration, your vehicle may be out of alignment orbalance. These conditions not only shorten the lifeof your tires, but adversely affect the handling char-acteristics of your vehicle which could be danger-ous. If you detect irregular wear or vibration, haveyour alignment and balance checked immediately.

Tires which have been run underinflated will showmore wear on the shoulders than in the center ofthe tread.HARD BRAKINGYou must inspect your tires after any hard braking circum-stances or after tires have slid on the pavement. This cancause a flat spot in a section of the tire tread.TIRE SPINNINGNever spin your tires above a speedometer readingof 35 mph (55 km/h) if your vehicle becomes stuck. The centrifugal force generated by the free spinningtire/wheel assembly may cause a sudden tireexplosion; resulting in vehicle damage and/or seri-ous personal injury or death. Never allow anyone tostand near or behind a tire spinning at high speedwhile attempting to push a vehicle that is stuck. When in mud, sand, snow, ice or other slipperyconditions, do not indulge in excessive wheel spin.In such conditions, with automatic transmissionvehicles, by accelerating the engine excessively, itis possible to spin one of the drive tires beyond itsspeed capability. This is also true when balancing adrive tire/wheel assembly using the engine of thevehicle to spin the wheel.TIRE TREADTires must be replaced when the depth of the treadreaches 2/32 inch (1.6 mm). Tires are manufacturedwith tread wear indicators molded into the tiregrooves which indicate tread wearout. As tires

42

IMPORTANT TIRE SAFETY INFORMATION*

approach 2/32 inch (1.6 mm) wearout, the treadgauge becomes thinner and more vulnerable to theeffects of road hazards. Also, worn tires are moresubject to hydroplaning, which can cause loss ofcontrol. Therefore, visual tire inspection becomesmore crucial as the tires wear out.WORN TIRESNever drive on worn tires. Tires should be replacedby trained personnel when 2/32nds of an inchtread depth remains, as indicated by the treadwear indicators molded into the tread grooves. Inmost states, it is illegal to drive with less than2/32nds of an inch of tread remaining.TIRE MIXINGFor best performance select tires similar in size andload rating to the original equipment tires. It is rec-ommended that the same size and type of tire beused on all four wheel positions. In certain tires, casing ply material and ply construction may vary asindicated on the sidewall of the tire. When changingor replacing tires, it is preferred that all four tires arethe same construction type (i.e., High Performance,All Season, Mud & Snow) and construction (Radialor Bias Ply). Tires which meet the RubberManufacturer’s Association (RMA) definition of mudand snow tires are marked M/S, M+S, M&S.

On such tires, this designation is molded into thesidewall. Tires without this notation are not recom-

mended for mud and/or snow driving.

Before mixing tires of different types on a vehicle inany configuration, be sure to check the vehiclesowner's manual for its recommendations.

If snow tires are needed, it is necessary to selecttires equivalent in size and load rating to the origi-nal equipment tires. Always fit performance snowtires in sets of four (4) for optimum mud and snowtraction and maintenance of vehicle handling char-acteristics. If you do not, it may adversely affectthe safety and handling of your vehicle. It is alsoimportant to check the vehicle owner's manualbefore mixing or matching tires on 4-wheel drivevehicles as this may require special precautions.

Please refer to your Owner's Manual for more infor-mation on tire replacement precautions.TIRE ROTATIONTires on your Infiniti vehicle should be rotatedevery 7,500 miles or as irregular wear develops. Ifirregular wear becomes apparent or if the wear rateon the tires is perceptibly uneven, the tires shouldbe rotated in such a way to alleviate the problem.Check your vehicle for any mechanical problemsand correct if necessary. Any rotation pattern orprocedure may be followed including those indi-cated in the Owner’s Manual. Some tires havearrows on the sidewall showing the direction inwhich the tire should turn. When rotating this type

of tire, care must be taken to maintain the properturning direction as indicated by the arrows. Somevehicles have different tire sizes specified for frontand rear axles. Tires on these vehicles should berotated side to side. Where a temporary type sparetire is available, it should not be included in the tirerotation schedule. Such tires are intended for tem-porary use only. Whenever only two tires arereplaced, the new tires should be put on the rearaxle of vehicles equipped with the same size tire onall four wheel positions.TRAILER TOWINGIf you anticipate towing a trailer, you should see atire dealer for advice concerning the correct size oftire and pressure. Tire size and pressure willdepend on the type and size of the trailer and hitchutilized, but in no case must the maximum coldinflation pressure or the tire load rating be exceed-ed. Check the tire decal and your Owner’s Manualfor further recommendations on trailer towing.TIRE ALTERATIONSDo not perform any alterations on your tires.Alterations may prevent proper performance, lead-ing to tire damage, which can result in an accident.Tires which become unserviceable due to alter-ations such as truing, whitewall inlays, addition ofbalancing or sealant liquids, may be excludedfrom warranty coverage. Consult your tire warranty.

vehicle is designed for temporary use only andmust not be used continually as a regular tire. The standard tire should be repaired and/orreplaced as soon as possible.

2) Avoid driving over obstacles that may damagethe tire through impact or cutting, such as pot-holes, glass, metal, etc.

3) Speed must not exceed 50MPH (80km/h) fornon-speed-rated temporary spare tires.

4) Temporary spare tires have a limited treadlifewhich can vary depending on road conditionsand your driving habits. The spare tire shouldbe returned to the trunk as soon as the stan-dard tire can be repaired or replaced.

5) Because the high-pressure spare tire wasspecifically designed for your car, it should notbe used on any other vehicle.

6) Do not use snow chains on your high-pressurespare. This could cause damage to your vehicle.

7) Check the tire’s cold inflation pressure monthlyand maintain at 60psi (4.2kg/cm2) even whennot in use.

8) The high-pressure spare tire should not beused with any other rim nor should standardtires, wheel covers, or trim rings be used on thehigh-pressure spare tire rim which was original-ly installed.

9) When the tread wear indicator appears on thetire, replace it only with the same type spare tire.

10) Do not enter an automatic carwash with a tem-porary spare tire fitted.

11) Do not make a sharp turn or apply the brakessuddenly when driving on a high-pressure tem-porary spare.

Note: When using any temporary type spare tire,be sure to follow the vehicle Owner's Manualinstructions.

TIRE STORAGEAll tires should be stored in a cool dry placeindoors so that there is no danger of water collect-ing inside them.

When tires are stored they should be stored in acool place away from sources of heat and ozonesuch as hot pipes and electric generators. Be surethat surfaces on which tires are stored are cleanand free from grease, gasoline or other substanceswhich could deteriorate the rubber. (Tires exposedto these materials during storage or driving couldbe subject to sudden failure.)

TO AVOID DAMAGE TO YOUR TIRES ANDPOSSIBLE ACCIDENT:

• Check tire pressure at least once a monthwhen tires are cold and before long trips.

• Do not underinflate/overinflate.

• Do not overload.

• Drive at moderate speeds, observe legallimits.

• Avoid driving over potholes, obstacles, curbs or edges of pavement.

• Avoid excessive wheel spinning.

• If you see any damage to a tire, replace withspare and see the tire manufacturer’s deal-er or your Infiniti dealership.
