Q: What is SST?A. SST is a high power system which transmits roughly 10 times the RF power of the original Responder, and 100 times the power of most 1 way remotes. In fact, SST remotes are currently the most powerful on the market.

Q. What is Responder SST?A. It’s Directed’s new 900MHz 2 way high power digital frequency hopping Spread Spectrum Technology.

Q. What is FHSS?A. Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum is a radio communication method which employs multiple channels instead of a single channel.

Q. What is the bene� t of FHSS and using multiple channels?A. Each time the remote is used or there’s a transmission from the vehicle, the radio transmits the information by switching RF channels several times (also known as frequency hopping). If one or several of the channels are occupied by interfering signals, the communication will still go through!

Q. Responder SST has error correction, what does that mean?A. Responder SST has two error correction systems. The � rst is FEC (Forward Error Correction) and the second is interleaving. These are advanced error correction algorithms which are able to recover signi� cant amounts of corrupt data in the transmitted data packets.

Q. Will the battery last longer than the original Responder?A. The battery life will be approximately the same.

Q. What is Venom SST?A. It’s Directed’s new 900MHz 1 way high power digital modulation Spread Spectrum Technology. Q. What is digital modulation spread spectrum?A. It’s a unique, patent pending approach for data modulation and transmission in the 900MHz frequency band. This novel method enables high power transmissions for extreme long range operation.
