REAR VIEW CAMERA SYSTEM For the ultimate technological
edge, a rear view camera system (available on SLT models and
Denali when the optional NAV radio is ordered) includes a built-in
camera mounted near the license plate. It uses the navigation system
screen to provide you with a wide view behind the vehicle and auto-
matically functions when you shift the Yukon into reverse.
ULTRASONIC REAR PARKING ASSIST—RPA Using four sensors in
the rear bumper, RPA (standard on SLT-2 models and Denali; available
on SLT-1 and SLE models) can detect an object up to 8 feet away
from the rear of the vehicle when moving slowly in reverse. After sens-
ing the object, it sounds a warning chime and fl ashes red and yellow
warning lights on an LED display located at the back of the cabin.

EVEN REVERSE IS FORWARD THINKING.
DVD ENTERTAINMENT Second- and third-row passengers enjoy
fi rst-class entertainment. An 8-inch diagonal LCD screen provides
a vibrant picture. Audio transmits through wireless headphones
or the speaker system—your choice. A parental override allows the
driver or front passenger to mute the sound or turn off the system.
And DVDs load through the front audio system. Available on SLE-2,
SLT and Denali models.
NAVIGATION SYSTEM4 The available DVD-based Navigation Radio
provides superb audio performance and mapping capabilities.
Featuring a 6.5-inch display, touch-screen control and AM, FM and
XM Satellite Radio®5 (if equipped) reception, it allows you to use an
audio CD and NAV CD simultaneously. It also maps routes with 2-D
or 3-D views and provides verbal directions in your choice of
English, Spanish or French. Available on SLT and Denali models.
ONSTAR For 2007, Yukon offers one year of service of either
the OnStar Safe & Sound Service Plan or the Directions and
Connections Plan.1 In an emergency, an OnStar Advisor is there
to help. OnStar can work with authorities to help locate a
stolen vehicle, unlock your car doors, allow you to make voice-
activated hands-free phone calls2 and more. And with Point of
Interest Lookup, the Directions & Connections Service Plan
offers Turn-by-Turn Navigation.3 Visit onstar.com for details.
1 Standard one-year OnStar features depend on vehicle production date. AMENITIES 13
With its available ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist and Rear View Camera (see left), Yukon offers advanced
engineering inside and out. But the innovations don’t end there. Remote Vehicle Start (standard on SLT
and Denali and available on SLE models) allows you to start your Yukon from up to 200 feet away by
simply pressing a button on the key fob—and activate either the heating or air-conditioning system
before you get in. The standard OnStar® system with one-year service1 includes Hands-Free Calling2
voice-recognition capabilities for dialing by voice. Rain-sensing windshield wipers (available on SLT
models and standard on Denali) automatically activate the wipers when precipitation is detected. And
a heated windshield wiper fl uid system (available on SLT models and standard on Denali) removes a thin
layer of frost or ice by heating the wiper fl uid to 150–175 degrees before spraying it on the windshield.
Vortec 5.3L V-8 “FlexFuel” Engines (available with
Yukon 2WD models; standard with 4WD models) can
run on a blend of ethanol and gasoline called E85
(because it’s 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent
gasoline). E85 is an alternative fuel made mostly in
the United States with corn and other grain products.
FlexFuel engines can run on any combination of gas-
oline and E85, and they’re designed to automatically
compensate when E85 fuel is detected. E85 fuel
produces fewer carbon emissions than gasoline,
while offering at least the same outstanding horse-
power and torque as equivalent Vortec gasoline-only
engines. E85 fuel availability varies by state. Go to
www.livegreengoyellow.com to determine its avail-
ability near you.
E85 ETHANOLETHANOL—THE CLEANER-BURNING ALTERNATIVE
POWER AND PERFORMANCE 15 POWER AND PERFORMANCE 15
Here’s high-tech proof that a full-size SUV can offer outstanding performance — and remarkable gasoline fuel economy.1 Available Gen IV Vortec 5.3L V-8
and Vortec 6.0L V-8 Engines in Yukon 1/2-ton models (see page 29 for details) feature a technological advance called Active Fuel Management, which
helps Yukon offer the best gasoline fuel economy in its class. In normal driving conditions, Active Fuel Management deactivates four of the V-8’s
cylinders when less power is needed— essentially turning the V-8 into a V-4. When you need V-8 power, it’s automatically there for you. The engine
always starts and idles on eight cylinders, and runs on eight during brisk acceleration or when carrying or towing loads. What’s more, it switches
between V-4 and V-8 operation so seamlessly that you’ll never notice the transition. In testing, the system increased fuel effi ciency by up to six percent.
ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENTPROFESSIONAL GRADE ENGINEERING FOR
THE BEST FUEL ECONOMY IN ITS CLASS.
1See page 29 for complete EPA estimates and engine details.
LONG-LIFE PISTONS Polymer-coated fl oating-pin pistons
are designed to provide up to 150,000 miles of service in
every Yukon Vortec Engine.1
IRIDIUM-TIP SPARK PLUGS With their advanced design,
iridium-tip spark plugs in Yukon Vortec Engines have a
100,000-mile life.1
ALUMINUM HIGH-FLOW CYLINDER HEADS Yukon Denali’s
Vortec 6.2L V-8 uses pent-roof combustion chambers and
flat-top pistons that improve air flow and enhance fuel
effi ciency. See page 29 for complete EPA estimates.
380 HP VORTEC 6.2L V-8
ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL Yukon Vortec Engines
feature an electronic throttle control system for reliability and
more precise throttle response.
VARIABLE VALVE TIMING (VVT) Yukon Denali’s Vortec 6.2L V-8
and reduce exhaust emissions. VVT enhances torque at low
rpm and increases horsepower at high rpm. VVT is also included
on the Yukon XL’s available Vortec 6.0L V-8 Engine.
YUKON DENALI AND YUKON XL DENALI—
THE MOST AVAILABLE HORSEPOWER IN THEIR CLASS.
1 Maintenance needs vary with different uses and driving conditions. See your Owner’s Manual for more information.
ONSTAR VEHICLE DIAGNOSTICS OnStar can email the
results of hundreds of key operating-system checks, including
the engine, and send reminders of scheduled maintenance,
maximizing engine performance.
POWER AND PERFORMANCE 17
uses an advanced variable valve timing system to increase perfor-
mance
SUSPENSION PREMIUM SMOOTH RIDE (ZW7) suspension system (standard on Yukon models) provides
a smooth, comfortable ride combined with precision handling. Front and rear 46mm monotube
shocks with large, 14mm rods offer plush responsiveness and long-term durability. Rear
suspension includes variable-rate springs to ensure a softer ride under light loads, and a
more controlled ride as loads increase.1
AUTORIDE™ (Z55) suspension system (standard on Yukon Denali and available on
Yukon models with SLT trim) provides a refi ned ride and exceptional agility. Front and rear
Autoride Real Time Damping shocks, complemented by an air bag-over-shock Auto Leveling
System, ensure a superb ride under a variety of road and load conditions.1
Yukon and Yukon Denali feature a solid chassis, advanced suspension
systems and a variety of innovative features that allow them to offer
surprisingly agile handling and a tight turning diameter— matched
by a smooth, comfortable ride.
68.2/67.0" FRONT/REAR TRACK
RACK-AND-PINION STEERING
Yukon models feature a rack-and-pinion system for solid,
precise steering. To take advantage of the stiffness of
the vehicle’s frame, the steering rack mounts on the
front bay’s engine cross-member and provides solid,
linear performance through corners.
1 Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and distribution.
HOW TO TURN HYDROFORMED STEEL INTO
AN EXCEPTIONALLY SMOOTH RIDE.
COIL-OVER-SHOCK FRONT SUSPENSION
This system provides a smooth ride and precise handling
and is ideally suited to perform well with the new generation
of larger wheels and tires.
AUTOTRAC® The superb Autotrac system (standard
on Yukon 4WD models) provides seamless transitions
from 2WD to 4WD. In normal conditions it operates
in rear-wheel drive. When the system senses all-wheel
traction is needed, it instantly increases torque to the
front axle.
WIDE TRACK DESIGN
Wide track enhances overall stability and contrib-
utes to the feeling of a precise, controlled ride.
FULLY BOXED FRAME
Higher-strength material is strategically applied
in critical areas to produce an exceptionally
strong, stiff frame. It also improves ride qual-
ity and noise isolation and enhances Yukon’s
responsive, linear handling.
HYDROFORMED CONSTRUCTION
Hydroform construction of the front frame sec-
tion utilizes water and other fl uids under extremely
high pressure— up to 20,000 psi — to precisely
shape metal tubes into hollow structures. Hydro-
forming allows the wall thickness to vary as
needed, resulting in the optimum combination
of light weight and maximum strength.
NEXT-GENERATION BRAKING SYSTEM
Four-wheel disc brakes complemented by a
Bosch® antilock braking system and larger, vent-
ed rotors provide even greater stopping power,
with an enlarged cooling area for improved per-
formance.
FIVE-LINK REAR SUSPENSION
Accommodates light or heavy loads while pro-
viding a plush, responsive ride. Standard on all
Yukon models.
AUTORIDE REAL-TIME DAMPING
Here’s a technologically advanced system (stan-
dard on Yukon Denali and available on Yukon
models with SLT trim) that responds in real time
to changing driving conditions. Four two-position
monotube shocks each have an internal solenoid
valve and airlift/auto-leveling capability.
AGILITY 19
108.9/137.4
Yukon and Yukon Denali are renowned for their cargo-carrying
capabilities,1 and the 2007 models are designed to enhance that
reputation. There’s abundant cargo volume behind the front-row
seats in the Yukon and Yukon Denali. So not only can you carry a
long vacation’s worth of equipment, in the Yukon XL and Yukon XL
Denali you can even carry 4x8 sheets of plywood by simply folding
the third-row seats flat and folding the second-row seats.

ONE-TOUCH OPERATION Available with SLT trim and
standard on Yukon Denali, the power liftgate is a break
through in convenience. If you’re inside the vehicle, use a
switch in the overhead console to open or close it. If you’re
outside the vehicle, you may use another control button
located on the inside of the liftgate, to close it. Or use the key
fob (see above). For safety’s sake, a built-in sensor helps stop
the gate’s attempt to open or close if it encounters resistance
POWER LIFTGATE: REMOTE OPERATION The power liftgate
(available with SLT trim and standard on Yukon Denali) offers
easy remote operation for convenient access to Yukon’s cargo
area. To open the liftgate, simply press and hold a button on
the key fob for one second. Press and hold to close.

With an array of standard safety features, every Yukon model is engineered
to provide impressive protection for driver and passengers, and enhanced
driver control. Its wide front and rear tracks, for example, increase sta-
bility. And its body-on-frame confi guration and solid body structure are
designed to provide enhanced frontal, off-set and rollover crash performance.
The result? A vehicle that puts you confi dently in command.
ADVANCED ENGINEERING FOR A
FIVE-STAR FRONT CRASH TEST RATING.
STABILITRAK STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM
StabiliTrak, standard on all Yukon 1/2-ton models,
is an engineering advance that improves safety,
stability and control on all road surfaces— and it’s
especially valuable during emergency maneuvers.
Sensors read the position of your steering wheel,
vehicle speed, brake pressure, lateral acceleration
and turning rate, then feed the data to an onboard
computer. If your Yukon is not responding adequately
to your steering input, the computer instantly adjusts
engine speed and brake pressure to any individual
wheel to help keep you on track. Rollover mitigation
capabilities are also provided, with the sensors
programmed to proactively predict and help
counteract vehicle “tip-up” on a fl at road surface.
FRONT CRASH TEST RATING1
All Yukon and Yukon Denali models received a
NHTSA 5-star rating for the Frontal Crash Test for
both the driver and right front passenger. This is the
highest government frontal crash test rating. Every
Yukon model features dual-stage frontal air bags.3
ONSTAR®2
All Yukon models feature one-year OnStar service as
standard equipment. OnStar’s Hands-Free Calling
and Turn-by-Turn audio navigation help you avoid
accidents by keeping your eyes on the road and your
hands on the wheel. See page 33 for details.
1 5-star rating for the driver and front passenger in the Frontal Crash Test. U.S. Government star ratings are part of the National Highway Traffi c Safety Administration’s (NHTSA’s) New Car Assessment Program (www.safercar.gov). 2Standard one-year OnStar includes either OnStar Safe & Sound Service Plan or the Directions and Connections
Plan, which includes the new Turn-by-Turn Navigation system. Turn-by-Turn Navigation is available only on models with Gen 7 hardware. See your window label or your GMC dealer for availability and details. Features depend on vehicle production date. See page 33 or visit onstar.com for system limitations and details.
FRONT AND SIDE AIR BAGS
PASSENGER SENSING SYSTEM
The front passenger air bag features a passenger
sensing system. It uses a sensor within the front
passenger seat to detect the weight of the occupant.
Under a certain weight, the system automatically
turns off the air bag.
HEAD-CURTAIN SIDE-IMPACT AIR BAGS3
A head-curtain side-impact air bag system functions
like a protective curtain, unfolding from the roof rail.
A large air bag on each side protects outboard fi rst-
and second-row passengers, while a dedicated air
bag on each side protects the third row. The head-
curtain side-impact air bags are activated by side-
impact sensors as well as rollover sensors.
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM
This advanced system keeps track of tire pressure
and alerts you to low pressure through the Driver
Information Center — indicating exactly which tire
is low. The system also sends a message regard-
ing tire pressure each time you start the vehicle,
and alerts you anytime pressure is low. Does not
monitor spare.
ENHANCED SAFETY CAGE DESIGN
An A-pillar reinforcement of high-strength steel,
complemented by steel reinforcements in the roof
rail, contributes to rollover performance. A high-
strength steel diagonal brace under the driver and
passenger toepan is designed to manage higher
loads during frontal impacts.
3 Air bag infl ation can cause severe injury or death to anyone too close to the bag when it deploys. Be sure every occupant is properly restrained. Always use safety belts and the correct child restraints for your child’s age and size. Even in vehicles equipped with air bags, children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat. Never place a
rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with an active frontal air bag. See your Owner’s Manual and child safety seat instructions for more safety information.

SPECIFICATIONS
2 Your vehicle may require additional special equipment to tow the maximum trailer weight listed here. Maximum trailer ratings are calculated assuming a base vehicle, except any options necessary to achieve the rating, plus driver. The weight of other optional equipment, passengers and cargo will reduce the maximum trailer weight your vehicle can tow. See the GMC Trailering Guide for details. Trailer tongue weight should be 10%–15% of total loaded trailer weight (up to 1,000 lbs). Addition of trailer tongue weight cannot cause vehicle weights to exceed Rear Gross Axle Weight Rating (RGAWR) or Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). See your GMC Trailering Guide for more details. 3When properly equipped; includes weight of vehicle, passengers, cargo and equipment. 4Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and distribution. Secure loose items before driving.

A NOTE ON CHILD SAFETY Always use safety belts and the correct child restraints for your child’s age and size. Even in vehicles equipped with Passenger Sensing System, children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with an active frontal air bag. See your vehicle Owner’s Manual and child safety seat instructions for more safety information.
YUKON HAS MANY STANDARD SAFETY FEATURES, INCLUDING: Occupant Protection Equipment: All seats except third-row middle seat feature lap and shoulder belts. Frontal dual-stage air bags and side-impact air bags for outboard front-seat occupants are included on all Yukon models. Always use safety belts and proper child restraints. See the Owner’s Manual for more safety information. Safety belt cinch capability for child seats. Crash-Avoidance Equipment: Includes four-wheel antilock brake system, Brake/Transmission Shift Interlock, automatic daytime running lamps, door warning lights or refl ectors, maintenance-free battery, tires with built-in tread wear indicators, audible brake lining wear indicators, front-seat side-window defogger, windshield defroster, tinted glass windshield. Theft-Deterrence Equipment: Includes laser-etched VIN plate, theft-deterrent steering column lock, single-key system, hood release, marked body parts and PassLock® theft deterrent system.
TRAILERING WITH YOUR YUKONYukon is built strong and durable to handle the demands of trailering. Certain equipment that prepares Yukon for trailering is standard on every Yukon: power steering, power brakes, seven-wire trailering harness, a large fuel tank, a 160-amp alternator (145-amp on 3/4-ton models) and a front stabilizer bar. Also required and available (some items are standard on certain models) are special transmission oil and engine oil coolers. For other available trailering-related equipment, talk to your dealer. You’ll need a hitch, of course, and a selection of hitch types is available, either as factory-installed equipment, such as an available step bumper, or from your dealer. Also required with this package are a hitch ball, mounting head or drawbar and, possibly, weight-distributing and anti-sway assemblies; these are available through aftermarket sources. If you have any questions about trailering with a Yukon, before you buy, feel free to ask your dealer for a copy of the GMC Trailering Guide. Be sure to read it and use it as a guide before you hitch a trailer to your SUV.
OFF-ROADING WITH YOUR FOUR-WHEEL-DRIVE YUKONWhen you go off-road, you should take care to make sure your driving is appropriate to the vehicle and the environment. Be sure to read “Off-Roading With Your Four-Wheel-Drive Vehicle” in the 2007 GMC Yukon Owner’s Manual. Avoid sharp turns and abrupt maneuvers. Failure to operate vehicle correctly off-road could result in loss of vehicle control or vehicle rollover. When you are off-road, make sure that all cargo is properly loaded and secured. Use boxes to organize cargo and use nets and tie-downs to secure it. Wherever possible, use established trails, roads and other areas that have been set aside for public off-road recreational driving. And obey posted regulations. Don’t drive on private property without the permission of the owner; in some states, you must have it in writing. Avoid any driving practice that could harm the environment or hurt wildlife, like wheel-spinning, breaking down trees, driving through streams or driving over soft ground. And never park your vehicle over dry grass or other materials that could catch fi re from the heat of the vehicle’s exhaust system.
