a group on the state assessment. As you review the scores below, you will see that our ninth

graders led the county in the per cent of students scoring level 3-5 in Reading and placed second in

Mathematics. 64% of our ninth graders scored a level 3, 4 or 5 on the Reading portion of the FCAT,

while 77% of our students achieved those levels in Mathematics. Further, our Mean Development

Scale Score of 335 in Reading led the county as did our Mean Development Scale Score of 330 in

Mathematics. These scores reflect the hard work our students did to prepare for the assessment and also the great job our staff did in

setting high expectations for our students.

Remember, we will not receive a State School Accountability Grade this year because we

only have ninth graders. With the addition of our tenth grade class next year, we will become eligible for the school grade. We are very proud of our student scores and look

forward to continued success next year. Though our scores are high, we still have many students who did not meet the standards we have set. We are committed to working

diligently to make sure all students are successful and that Hagerty High School continues to set a standard of excellence of which we can all be proud.
