Principles of Leadership
Rudy GiulianiFormer Mayor of New York City
Before being elected the 107th mayor ofthe city of New York, Rudy Giuliani led acareer of public service. That experience
served him well during his two terms as mayor of NewYork, as he successfully turned New York back into thegreat city it once was with his ideas, management andgoal-driven style.
Then, on Sept. 11, 2001, America suffered the worstattack in its history when terrorists crashed planes intothe twin towers of the World Trade Center. His responseto that horrific event further demonstrated Giuliani’sremarkable leadership abilities. For his efforts, he wasnamed “Person of the Year” by Time Magazine andknighted by the Queen of England.
Since leaving office, he founded Giuliani Partners, aprofessional services firm dedicated to helping leaderssolve critical strategic issues, accelerate growth andenhance the reputation and brand of their organizations. His book, Leadership, was published in October 2002. Itbecame an immediate bestseller, spending 25 weeks onthe New York Times Bestseller List.
