Sample plot system

Cycle I (1991-1995)

3,300 sample plots (SPs). They were designed by grid 8km x16km in the forested area

Cycle II (1996-2000)

Based on the result of the first cycle, FIPI has increased number of sample plot to 3,600 SPs. They were designed by grid 5.6 km x 5.6 km.

Cycle III (2001-2005)

4.200 SPs

Cycle IV (2006-2010)

2100 SPs by grid 8km x 8km

REDD+ implementation activity

Reducing emissions through deforestation efforts. This activity is suitable for production and protection forests, continue facing the threat of deforestation..

Reducing emissions through forest degradation efforts. This activity is appropriate for all 3 types of forest, which continues to face the same risk of other degraded causes.

Forest Conservation. This is suitable for all types of forests, but especially those areas with primary forest.Bảo tồn rừng.

Sustainable management of forest resources. This is suitable for all types of forests, especially production forest.

Enhancing forest carbon stocks. This is suitable for any kind of forestry land, especially an area degraded or even bare land.
