2001 ASSESSMENT REPORT

for the

CALDER PROPERTY

CALDER TOWNSHIP

PORCUPINE MINING DIVISION

January 31,2001

INTRODUCTION

Between May and October of 2000, a mechanical stripping program and diamond drilling

program was completed on the Calder Property. A total of 2 trenches, 7 pits and 5

diamond drill holes (262 ft) were completed on the property.

Massive mafic volcanic flows and gabbroic intrusion were exposed in the two trenches

and in the drilling. Significant mineralization was not identified

PROJECT LOCATION

The Calder Property is located 70 kilometres (km) north of Timmins Ontario, in the

south-central portion of Calder Township of the Porcupine Mining Division (Figure 1).

ACCESS

Access to the Calder Project is provided by travelling along Hwy 11 east 2 km from the

Hwy 655 turnoff. A concession road is used to access the property.

LAND TENURE AND OWNERSHIP

The Calder Property consists of l claim totaling 16 units, covering 256 hectares. The

claims are registered lOO'/'o in the name of Mirella Valliere (client # 225287). A listing

of claims is included in Table 1.

REGIONAL GEOLOGY

Regional geological maps show that Calder Township is underlain by a narrow band of

east-west tending mafic to intermediate volcanic rocks in the south portion of the

township, and metasedimentary rocks in the north portion portion of the township. A

Granitic intrusion is situated in northwestern portion of the township area.

LOCAL GEOLOGY

Very little is known of the local geology. Outcrop exposure is rare in the township, much

of the geology is interpreted from an OGS airborne geophysical survey. A band of east

west tending mafic to intermediate volcanic rocks is interpreted to underlie the property.

WORK DESCRIPTION

Between May and October 2000, mechanical stripping and diamond drilling was

completed on 2 trenches and 7 pits. A Case 9007B excavator was used to complete this

work. The location of the trenches are included in Map 3. Outcrop exposed consisted

predominantly of dark green massive mafic volcanic flows, and massive gabbro.

A total of 5 diamond drill holes were completed on the property. Total drilling was 262

ft. Drill hole locations are located in Map 3. Logs have been previously submitted.

C-01-1 was drilled to a depth of 28 ft. The hole intersected quartz-feldspar biotite gneiss,

interpreted as massive mafic volcanics flows.

C-01-2 was drilled to a depth of 30 ft. The hole intersected mafic volcanics with narrow

2-3 inch wide quartz tourmaline veins.

C-01-3 was drilled to a depth of 102 ft. The hole intersected fine-medium grained mafic

volcanics, with rare grains of pyrite and chalcopyrite.

C-01-4 was drilled to a depth of 88 ft. The hole intersected mafic volcanics flows with

rare grains of pyrite.

C-01-5 was drilled to a depth of 46 ft. The hole intersected mafic volcanics flows with a

narrow quartz feldspar dyke. Significant mineralization was not identified during the

drilling or the stripping.

The 45 days outlined in the Notice dated January 02, 2001 have passed and the new information provided has been reviewed.

The short report, trench sketches and map provide more information than was previously provided. Some items listed in the statement of costs have been reduced from the work program:

Assay costs have been reduced. Assay certificates have been included with the report; however, the samples are not located on the maps, the drill logs or the drill sections. The statement of costs indicates 5 days of prospecting, however, the short report only describes the stripping/washing program and the drilling program. The statement of costs indicates a charge for "linecutting" however; grid lines have not been identified in the report or on the map. The "linecutting" however might be related the cutting of the lines during the staking of the claim. Costs associated with claim staking are not eligible expenditures.

Assessment work credit has been reduced as outlined on the attached Distribution of Assessment Work Credit sheet.

The assessment credit is being reduced by S962. The TOTAL VALUE of assessment credit that will be allowed, based on the information provided in this submission, is 38053.

An example of a stripping and prospecting report have been included for your reference.

At the discretion of the Ministry, the assessment work performed on the mining lands noted in this work report may be subject to inspection and/or investigation at any time.
