Basketball/Flag FootballInstructor: Coach Josh’s Team

Grades: 1–6

Boys and girls of all skill levels are welcome. Your child will learn the basic fundamentals of both Basketball and Flag Football, including ball han-dling, proper shooting form, passing techniques, defensive principles and much more. Our camp will have several scrimmages and miniature games with competition where kids can demon-strate their fundamentals.

Bayou BuddiesInstructor: Houston Audubon

Grades: K–5

The Bayou City and the creatures that find their home in the bayou await each camper this week. Campers will hop, slither, crawl and fly into learning about why bayous are so important to so many different kinds of wildlife. From grand Bald Eagles to elusive otters, this camp will inspire a new generation of Houstonians who will care for our bayou heritage.

Beginning Elementary TennisCoaches Robin and Lucy

Grades: 1–5

Campers learn to hold and swing a racket, hit balls and use proper stance for strokes. They also develop balance, coordination, agility, quick reactions and speed. Added benefits are learning to follow directions, developing focus, and overall athletic ability. But most of all, it’s fun! Equipment included.

Beginning/Intermediate Fencing Instructor: Alliance Fencing Academy

Grades: K–6

Renowned fencing academy provides a fun and exciting setting for kids to learn the fascinating sport of competitive fencing. Basic concepts of footwork and blade work will be introduced. Equipment provided.

Beginning Golf Instructor: TGA

Grades: K–6

Our golf camp maximizes the fun by including instruction, games, and other exciting activities to help players of all experience levels develop putting, chip-ping, and full-swing skills. TGA’s best in class coaches create a safe, fun, and supportive environment where campers learn about the rules and etiquette of the game and important life lessons including perseverance and sportsman-ship. Equipment provided.

Introductory to Advanced chess players welcome! Campers experience chess instruction and play in a fun environ-ment designed to improve their skills, whether they are interested in casual or competitive chess. Equipment provided.

Claymation CampInstructor: Engineering for Kids

Grades: 3–6

Looking for students who are super imaginative and love to use technology in a creative way. Tap into the incredible practice of stop-motion film produc-tion and learn the technique from the ground up. Through cumulative daily projects, teamwork, technological liter-acy and a bit of movie-making magic, campers will love to win awards at the film festival held the last day of camp!

Coding Logic BuilderInstructor: Coder Kids

Grades: PreK–1

Develop a strong foundation in logic and computational thinking, the core of all learning and coding! Use the best in logic games and apps like Robot Tur-tles, CodeSpark, Lightbot, CodeKarts, and Code.org to practice overcoming logic challenges and prepare for more advanced topics!

CricketInstructor: Katy Youth Cricket

Grades: 1–6

Introductory Cricket coaching camp for boys and girls. Learn to play the second biggest International team sport from International Cricket Council (ICC) certified cricket coaches. Equipment provided.

DIY (Do It Yourself) STEM CampInstructor: Kate Potter

Grades: 1–6

What would your kids do with a box, toilet paper rolls, matchbox cars, old sponges and imagination? If you guessed make a toy car wash, you’re right! This enrichment course is perfect for kids that love to create and make

STEM related activities. We will learn how to build multiple things from or-dinary objects to keep boredom at bay and our engineering brains top notch!

Drone CampInstructor: Engineering for Kids

Grades: 3–6

Take to the skies with mini drones! Housing a thrilling, hands-on aerial robotics platform, this camp is the perfect introduction to the world of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Campers go through Tynker, the online drone education coding platform, master basic piloting skills, construct an obstacle course to fly through and stage a final race to showcase their cumulative knowledge. Putting critical thinking to the test, the camp also has students brainstorm ways drones could be used for good, sketching out their ideas for new and innovative drones and drone uses.

Elementary Junior AthletesInstructor: Coach Josh’s Team

Grades: 1–6

The class will focus on teaching/im-proving the fundamentals and mechan-ics of four major sports: flag football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. Other fun fitness activities include bowling, relay races, and capture the flag, etc. The program works towards improving hand-eye coordination, balance, speed, and agility. The camp strongly empha-sizes teamwork and encourages all skill levels to sign up.

EV3 Robo BattlesInstructor: Engineering for Kids

Grades: 3–6

Welcome to the world of robotics and computer programming! Each day you will design and program the latest gen-eration of LEGO robots (EV3) to per-form challenges such as the SumoBots Challenge, Joisting Challenge, and the Catapult Challenge. You will program your robots using the LEGO MIND-STORMS Education EV3 Software, which is based on National Instruments LabVIEW, the industry-leading graphical programming language used by scien-tists and engineers worldwide!

Gogh to ArtInstructor: Shannon Stout

Grades: K–6

Young artists will learn about the life of Vincent Van Gogh, and create artwork inspired by his masterpieces. A variety of supplies and techniques will be used. Unique resources and books will enhance this fun art workshop.

Gotta Dance CampInstructor: Coco Braggiatto

Grades: 1–6

Campers will learn line dances, hip hop routines, and maybe a little Broadway throughout the week. Technique and combinations will be taught in a fun way with great music. There will be a performance on the last day of camp.

Great Migrations! Instructor: Houston Audubon

Grades: 1–6

From the African plains to the arctic tundra, campers will travel the world this week learning about animals that migrate. From whales to wildebeests, owls to butterflies, this week is jam packed with animal adventures, crafts and activities. No need to pack a suit-case. Campers just need to bring their curiosity and love of nature.

Green EngineeringInstructor: Camp Einstein

Grades: K–2

Green Engineering, Jr.Instructor: Camp Einstein

Grades: PreK–1

Are you ready to go eco-friendly in this environmental engineering program? Students will investigate air pollution, create alternative energy sources, and solve real-world environmental issues! We will explore the electromagnetic spectrum and construct fun gadgets using recycled materials! Campers get their hands dirty in the ocean clean-up lab and work on their green thumb while planting native seeds. This class is focused on problem-solving and developing a connection to the world around us!

Hoot! Tweet! Chirp!Instructor: Houston Audubon’s Team

Grades: PreK–1

Birds love to sing and so do we! Campers will love learning about birds and singing songs about birds. This interactive program features live birds like owls, hawks and parrots and lots of music and hands-on activities. Campers will leave humming a new tune each day.

Kodu Video Game Creation—Go KartInstructor: Active Learning Instructor

Grades: 1–6

Introductory/Intermediate students will create something similar to a Mario Kart style game. Campers begin by designing their own world. Children will use their creativity as they build a world full of racing tasks. Whether it is collecting enough diamonds before time expires, navigating through the challenging obstacle course, or racing against a friend, they are sure to have fun! As with all of our game creation options, this camp encourages cre-ativity, storytelling, programming and problem solving for their young minds.

Little Wilderness MedicineInstructor: Little Medical School

Grades: PreK–1

Little Wilderness Medicine brings medicine, science and the importance of health to children. Learn about poisonous snakes and the types of venom. Know the signs and symptoms of hypothermia. Learn how contaminat-ed water can cause disease and how to filter and make clean water, and much more. Sample of classes to be offered: Snake Bites, Hypothermia, Water Safety, Tourniquets and Broken Bones, Mosquitos, Plus Many More!

Mad About Circus Arts + Hoop FitnessInstructor: Mad About Hoops/ Mad About Yoga

Grades: K–6

Juggling, tight rope walking, balloon twisting, face painting and more! This class is great for both boys and girls. Age appropriate stretching, circus crafts and circus arts in every class. Students will explore circus skills that improve their balance, hand eye coor-dination and confidence in a fun and safe environment. Students will also learn hula hoop skills that will not only impress but build stamina and help students develop a healthy relationship with fitness.

Mad About Yoga + Hoop FitnessInstructor: Mad About Hoops/ Mad About Yoga

Grades: K–6

This isn’t your mamma’s yoga class! In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of yoga through a variety of age appropriate lessons and activi-ties for both boys and girls. In addition to learning new poses each day, we will explore concepts such as breath control, gratitude, stress management and meditation by using games, crafts and other exercises that keep students both excited and engaged. After yoga, we work on improving stamina and building confidence during our hoop fitness portion of class.

Mad Potter Art CampInstructor: Mad Potter

Grades: K–6

Unleash your child’s inner creativity and imagination at The Mad Potter’s paint-your-own pottery and more art camp! Your little artist will get a hands-on, creative experience with several art forms that they will love! Plus, they’ll take home at least five masterpieces that you all will treasure!

Makey MakeyInstructor: Coder Kids

Grades: 4–6

Makey Makey is an invention kit for the 21st century. You can use it to turn everyday objects into keys for your computer. Using everything from bananas to copper tape and cardboard, we will connect Makey Makey to make scratch projects come to life in the real world.

Math-naticsInstructor: Kate Potter

Grades: 2–6

You won’t believe it when your kids start saying, “I love Math, it’s so much fun!” This enrichment class will keep math skills on point during summer brain drain. Packed with math games, fun competitions, and over the top kinetic hands-on learning, we will keep math fluency up while having a blast at the same time!

Meet the Masters ArtInstructor: Shannon Stout

Grades: K–6

Inspired by the artwork of masters such as Picasso, O’Keeffe, and Matisse, young artists will create projects using a variety of art techniques.

Microbit CodingInstructor: Coder Kids

Grades: 4–6

The Microbit is a tiny computer that lets you get creative with digital technology. Code it, customize it, and control it from anywhere. Microbit has simple and advanced features like controller buttons, motion detector,

Mission to MarsInstructor: Engineering for Kids

Grades: 2–6

Future NASA Engineer? Is mankind ready to inhabit Mars? Students will collaborate with their Space State teams to create the safest and most effective community on Mars. First, they create a rocket to get there, then figure out a way to land. Once on Mars, teams need to build a bridge to walk the surface and figure out a way back to earth.

Musical TheatreInstructor: Marcy Bannor

Grades: 1–6

Do you love singing, dancing, acting, and performing? Come join Actress, Marcy Bannor, and Musician, Jeanna Villanueva for a week of fun, and enter-tain your family and friends on Friday!

Needlepoint CampInstructor: Pam McMullen

Grades: 1–6

The art of needlepoint has made a huge comeback in recent years and the ability to stitch a canvas increases math knowledge in the areas of computation, geometry, graph reading, and spatial relationships. After threading a needle and tying knots have been mastered, new stitches will be taught daily from traditional continental to bargello to French knots and even beading. A variety of fibers such as cotton, silk, sparkly metallics, and even velvet will be used to complete a canvas including your child’s initial. The completed can-vas can be framed or made into a pillow once it is sent home. Join us and see what beautiful designs you can create!

Puppet Pizzazz—Pet StoreInstructor: Greg Ruhe

Grades: K–6

Explore the world of puppetry and pets by using recycled materials to make awesome animal box puppets. Partic-ipants will create, perform and adopt their own puppet pets.

Roblox Gamers ClubInstructor: Coder Kids

Grades: 3–6

Come together through the power of Roblox play. Make friends, master challenges, and explore new worlds. Join with us in our private servers or bring your own favorite games to play with the group. Our instructor creates a safe gaming environment, and teaches the students how to do that on their own as well.

Soccer/BaseballInstructor: Coach Josh’s Team

Grades: 1–6

Join us for an exciting fun filled week of soccer and baseball. Students will learn and improve on their soccer and baseball fundamentals. Engaging team building activities and scrimmages will be taught throughout the week. Students will practice cooperation, sportsmanship, and teamwork. It is important that students experience success while learning. We will work to instill into each student the skills and confidence needed to succeed.

Summer Cool-Tillion (Etiquette Camp)Instructor: Monica Lewis

Grades: 1–6

Summer Cool-Tillion is an immersive experience that brings civility and ele-gance to our students. The primary pur-pose of this camp is to provide young ladies and gentlemen with instruction in ethics, manners, proper protocol, and social presentation, including everyday etiquette essentials, honorifics, posture/poise, how to tie a necktie, savvy vs. savage dining, and so much more.

Time Travelers, Jr.Instructor: Camp Einstein

Grades: PreK–1

Let’s travel through time to learn about the science that helped build our world! Dress up as a caveman and go dinosaur hunting. Build a pyramid like the Egyptians. Put on your pirate hat and learn how to navigate maps to find your treasure. Enter the Wild West and practice gold panning. Each day we will focus on the science and inventions of a different time period!

Treasure HuntersInstructor: Elizabeth Williams

Grades: 1–4

Join us as Polly the Parrot helps us uncover the clues to reveal the location of the buried treasure. We will learn new skills like solving puzzles, reading treasure maps, and creating a message in a bottle. Come along with Polly and the rest of the pirate gang for a week of fun and adventure.

Under the SeaInstructor: Elizabeth Williams

Grades: 1–4

Dive into summer as we discover a whole new world together under the sea. Learn about strange and fun new creatures and the importance of the marine ecosystem to our lives. Nellie the Narwhal will be our guide for our interactive adventures.

Volleyball & BadmintonInstructor: Coach Josh’s Team

Grades: 1–6

Designed for the beginners looking to learn or improve his or her skills. Campers will practice/learn appropriate movements and volleyball and badmin-ton skills/drills in a fun atmosphere. Fitness games and exercise will also be incorporated to encourage team building and sportsmanship.

Youth Debate CampInstructor: Youth Debate League

Grades: 3–6

Youth Debate Camp makes learning to debate fun while students grow as con-fident public speakers, critical thinkers, and collaborative teammates. Each day we will focus on different skills relevant to debate, using games, activities and age appropriate topics to teach debat-ers to make and respond to arguments in an upbeat, positive environment, with an emphasis on learning to consider both sides of any topic or issue.
