On April 3, 2015, from Surabaya via Singapore to Manila, ERO Director Dr. Baylon met with maritime

On April 16, 2015 was NI meeting in London. Although airfare and accommodations will be supported by NI
London, Dr. Baylon opted not to attend but had submitted the NI Phil Branch Report as of April 14, 2015 with
MAAP President Notation. Invitation letter was sent via email only on March 27, 2015 with a deadline for the
submission of report on April 14, 2015.

On April 24, 2015 was the Celebration and
Inauguration Ceremony for the Vis Solis Puerto
Princesa International Solar Energy Showcase at
Puerto Princesa City Palawan, but due to no
speaking opportunities, Dr. Baylon did not attend
and instead had arranged meeting of MAAP
President with VIS Solis CEO/owner Carlos
Meyer, Tim Hayes and Doug Jackson in Taguig
as they discussed the interest of VIS SOLIS to invest
and partner with MAAP and make MAAP a solar energy
campus.

On June 22-23,2015, Dr. Baylon invited as sponsored

supplying responsibilities pursuant to the Maritime Labour Convention MLC2006)
within and outside the European Union.

On August 13, 2015, On KNOWLEDGE, INNOVATION AND ENTERPRISE
INTERNATIONAL Conference, MAAP was awarded KIE Best Paper Award

On August 14,2015 invited by BICMP-PMO Engr Baluyot and PENR OIC Raul Mamac at Villa Amanda
Resort Abucay Bataan, Dr. Baylon on Behalf of MAAP President, attended the SOC Final Data Validation
Workshop (Ref: Invitation letter of BICMP dated August 5, 2015 to MAAP President ) . She accomplished,
reviewed, validated and built conclusions and
recommendations on the draft SOC report and had identified
gaps in information and /or indicators and the measures to
overcome such gaps as possible. She also prepared the
MAAP State of the Coast Report as its contribution.
PEMSEA discussed the overview of Bataan SOC; PMO
discusses the process of developing the SOC of Bataan and
presented the governance aspect of SOC and the Sustainable
development of SOC. It must be noted that there is NATECH project by Japan in Osaka University and if
MAAP will participate, the data generated from various industrial estates in the province of Bataan – It
would be a good research project for the Province of Bataan.
On Sept 1-5, 2015, Dr. Baylon served as workshop Administrator
and participant on the Seminar workshop on Continuous
Professional Development for Maritime Professionals in
Maritime Education and Training, held at Manila Yacht Club
and at CAMS Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific in
partnership with GlobalMET and NI Ph Branch This was facilitated
by Capt. Richard Teo, FNI and Capt. Dr. Christopher

Community Outreach Program for the Aeta
Community, in partnership with National Research
Council of the Philippines (NRCP) Division 1 chaired
by Dr. Epifania Tabbada–- NRCP and DEPED Bataan .
MAAP taught the Aeta community how to prepare
nutritious food made from available plants in the
locality for their families and for livelihood pur poses.
On Sept 17, 2016, was the visit of NRCP Exec Director Carina Lao at MAAP
.MAAP President also handed to DR Lao the accomplished 10 copies of Book Bound
1-year MAAP Research Project entitled‖ Manning Productivity gain Cycle and
Emerging Maritime Industries”, that was funded by ( 500K) NRCP.
On September 25, 2015 at AMOSUP Convention
Hall, invited by b MAMAP and FILSCAPT, served as
one of the panel of 7 judges (NI, CHED, PAMTCI,
MMAP, FISCAPTS, UFS and STJ with MMAP Capt.
Leo Mirande as Chair) to the ― Extemporaneous Speech
Contest‖ the top 23 maritime institutions in the country, only 6
institutions (MAAP, PMMA, DMMA, VMA, LPU and AIMS)
bravely participated with their 13 amazing students providing
insights on various maritime issues affecting the country Two
MAAP students (1/Cl Rosal and 1/Cl Meneses) emerged as
the top two winners .

On November 20, 2015, Pilot Testing on the Test on English International Communication (TOEIC) by
Hopkins International Partners–- 49 students and 11 faculty/staff were able to take this free test and one
student (1Cl Karlouise Losañes) perfected the test,
earning for himself a tarp and a certificate of recognition.

National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU), as host and organizer hosted. Dr. Baylon spoke about the‖

Dr. Baylon was also invited to teach in the graduate school of NTOU in the evenings and was also invited by
principals in various high schools in Taiwan to talk and inspire students to be successful and encourage them to
go to maritime field because Taiwan is an ocean country similar to Philippines.

On December 4, 2015 Dr. Baylon participated in the meeting
and free NRCP Training Seminar workshop held at the
Philippine Normal University, Manila on how to write
research proposal .NRCP encouraged everyone to submit
another proposal for funding by NRCP and had provided
topics projects to form part of NRCP Division research
agenda.
On Dec 8-9, 2015 Dr. Baylon participated with two MAAP faculty members in the Phi
Lambdha Theta Philippine Area Chapter ‗s 2015 Annual Seminar –Workshop on Outcomes-
based Education‖ Designing Outcomes –Based Learning Plans across Disciplines‖ held at
Bayleaf Hotel Intramuros Manila. Dr. Baylon also served as facilitator for W8 -
Maritime Sector to the 2015 Annual Seminar –Workshop on Outcomes-based Education‖
Designing Outcomes –Based Learning Plans Across Disciplines‖ by Phi Lambdha Theta
Philippine Area Chapter at Bayleaf Hotel Intramuros Manila and promoted MAAP and its
initiatives for OBE maritime curriculum in cooperation with GlobalMETOn.
Dec 10, 2015 evening, Dr. Baylon participated in the Honor Society Phi Lambdha Theta Philippine Area
