Daring July 24 through 27, 4 trenches, uncovering 295 linear meters of bedrock, were excavated and 75 chip and grab samples were obtained for assay. The purpose of the trenching was to test IP conductors along the southern contact of an intermediate to felsic volcanic unit which trends through the central part of the property. The northern conductors could not be trenched due to thick overburden.

2.0 IDCATICN AND ACCESS (Figure 1)

Ihe Calvert-Wing property is located 80 km west of Ihunder Bay on the north side of Highway 11, near the hamlet of Shebandowan. Ihe trench locations were accessed by way of an old logging trail off of Highway 11 and a hydro power line aided travel between trenches.

3.0 raopEKiY rascRipncN

The Calvert-Wing property consists of 8 contiguous unpatented mining claims numbered as follows:

4.0 GENERAL GBOLOCT

Ihe Calvert-Wing property is located in the Shebandowan portion of the Abitibi-Wawa greenstone belt. It is underlain by approximately east-west trending mafic flows and a unit of intermediate to felsic pyroclastics or volcaniclastics, intruded by gabbro sills. The intermediate to felsic unit consists of quartz feldspar porphyritic and fragmental sericite * Fe carbonate chlorite schists with local Na depletion alteration. IP conductors occur along the northern and southern contacts of this unit, with the southern conductor being the target of the trenching program.

5.0 RESUME OF

Ihe trenches exposed sericite-chlorite-carbonate schists with quartz and occasionally feldspar crystals interlayered with lesser amounts of chlorite-talc-carbonate schists. Fine grained disseminate

pyrite is present in concentrations up to 5% coincident with the location of the IP conductor.

Seventy five chip and grab samples were obtained with negative assays (nil and trace) for Au.

6.0 CONCUJKICNS AND JMXMdEMWTIONS

Trenching was conducted to test the economic potential of an IP conductor along the southern contact of an intermediate to felsic volcanic unit. The trenches exposed widely sheared and sericite- carbonate altered rocks with disseminated pyrite being the source of the IP response. No gold values were obtained from sampling of the trenches thus eliminating this conductor from further work. The Ip conductor along the northern contact of this volcanic unit remains untested and should be investigated with two or three short drill holes.

Respectfully submitted,
