Automatic TX Power Control (1)

The Automatic TX Power Control (ATPC) function automaticallyvaries the TX output power according to path conditions.

ATPC provides the following advantages:1. Improvement in up fading characteristics2. Improvement in residual BER characteristic3. Reduction of interference to intra system4. Reduction of interference to inter system The ATPC Control can be used in several configuration:

ATPC-ATPCMTPC-ATPCATPC-MTPC

Protection switching (1)

Protection switching in Pasolink (1+1 ) system has severalswitching priorities:

Priority 1: Manual switching ControlManual switching is carried out by selecting from the front panelOPR SEL SW [No.1–AUTO— No.2] When switched from here bothTX and RX sides switches at the same time.

Priority 2: Remote switching ControlSwitching is initiated from external equipment (LCT/PNMT)

Priority 3: Automatic switching controlWhen the OPR SEL SW is set to Auto position, for any alarm in theonline equipment, traffic will be switched to the standby equipment

automatically. TX and RX switchover are performed independently.

Following Order-Wire communications are possible:Communication between Local IDU and Local ODUCommunication between Local IDU and Remote IDUCommunication between Local ODU and Remote IDUCommunication between Local ODU and Remote ODUWhen back-to-back connection for order wire is provided,OW communication between different hops are possible.

Note: When the “Call”button onthe IDU is pressed the buzzersounds on the remote IDU andall the other IDUs connectedthrough back-to backconnections.
