Remember PEE… example• Steinbeck presents George’s feelings towards Lennie in various dimensions.

We see many aspects of these throughout the book and the film within different scenarios. For example Steinbeck’s use of language and tone to portray George’s character is easily seen in the dialogue. “Jesus Christ…” “Bastard...” . Many times throughout the story George uses bad language around Lennie whose soft childish voice emphasises George’s frustration and sometimes anger towards Lennie. But is it towards Lennie or himself? (continue)• Other possibilities – showing that he is the more adult of the two..

• Angry he can’t fix Lenny• Constantly repeating himself• Deprived from his own life etc.
