Summary: The board instructed ClarkNexsen to provide a different concept for the band shelter. They have met with the Recreation Advisory Board and Public Art Commission. The revised cover is being presented to the board for their approval so they can move forward and keep in the schedule for the completion of the Joyner Park Community Center.

Thank you for submitting an application for Minor Architectural Review for the proposed Joyner Park Band Shell project for an amphitheater stage cover to be located at Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road in Wake Forest. Staff has reviewed and approved the final architectural design and materials as submitted. The approved elevations are attached for your reference and file.
This approval pertains only to the exterior architectural design; any changes will require additional review and approval. Site construction plans & building plans must be reviewed and approved separately.

RESOLUTION 2018-
A RESOLUTION APPROVING OF THE DESIGN FOR THE JOYNER PARK BAND SHELL
WHEREAS, on October 2, 2018 Clark Nexsen presented a design for the Joyner Park Band Shell; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Advisory Board and the Public Art Commision has approved of the Band Shell Design. We request the approval of the Board of Commisioners to construct the Band Shell as designed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Wake Forest authorizes the Town Manager to sign the contract associated with design for the Joyner Park Band Shell.
