Procurement Effort

> Current: RFP was issued in Jan. 2013 to Metro Pre-Qualified Firms • Firms invited to participate in a Pre-Qualification process (SOQ) • Pre-Qualified firms invited to submit proposals (RFP)

> Award Contract and Provide NTP: End of 2013

> Design/Build Activities Begin: Mid 2014

Summary of Work Hours Daytime Allowable Hours Extended Hours

Monday through Friday: 7am - 9pm

Monday through Friday: 9pm - 7am of the following day

Saturday: 8am - 6pm

Saturday: Before 8am & after 6pm

No Sunday work All day Sunday

Peak Traffic Hour Restricts construction from 6am – 9am and from 3:30pm – 7pm, Monday through Friday.

Holiday Moratorium Restricts construction from before Thanksgiving to after New Year’s Day holidays.

Request Background > During previous phases of the project, the community requested

Metro consider ways to expedite and shorten the overall work schedule.

> In order to work extended work hours (shortening the overall construction duration of work), Metro must request permission from the City.

> Continued approval of extended work hours is conditional on performance, and is based on community feedback.

> Notices will be distributed to the community detailing expected and approved work activity.
