I WAS BORN OF PORCELAIN
TINY FACE AND TINY GRIN
LOTS OF HOPE IN LITTLE EYES
NO IDEA WAS UNWISE
BUT NOW I’VE GROWN AND I’M OLDER
LESSONS LEARNED, LIFE GOT COLDER
SADNESS LOITERS EVERYWHERE
BRAINS IN NEED OF SUCH REPAIR
I CRITICIZE MY EVERY MOVE
I JUDGE MYSELF AND DISAPPROVE
FAILING MY EXPECTATIONS
CONTEMPLATING MY FRUSTRATIONS
EVERYTHING I DO IS WRONG
CAN’T FIND A PLACE WHERE I BELONG
NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO STOP THE VOICES
CHITTER-CHATTERING REJOICES
SHATTERED PIECES INTERSECT
DREAMS DEBATE AND DISCONNECT
MY MIND IS SET ON SELF-DESTRUCTION
IT GAVE IN TO DEATH’S SEDUCTION
I’VE LOST ALL HOPE AND MOTIVATION
I AM BOUND AND I AM BROKEN
WHERE WAS HOPE FROM LONG AGO
I SWEAR IT JUST PUT ON A SHOW
THEN PROCRASTINATION CAME TO SAY
I TOLD MYSELF THAT YESTERDAY
I’D USE THIS GLUE, BANDAIDS AND TETHER
TO HELP PUT ME BACK TOGETHER
LOTS OF HOPE WAS IN DISGUISE
I KNEW THAT THIS WAS NOT UNWISE
THROUGH CHILDISH EYES AND SILLY GRINS
I’D SHINE AGAIN LIKE PORCELAIN

We are all champions of recovery
Because in the Career we do
We help cultivate hope and
Create a miracle or two.
We love and serve each other with
The pure love of Christ
And help each other make good
Choices and choose the right.
The bitter tears that start
And sharing our gifts and talents
We help goodness to impart.
We endure our own hardships and
Trials with a beautiful smile
And for our fellowmen we
Go the extra mile.
We touch each other’s lives not
Just the people that we serve
Because as coworkers we get
The wonderful support
We deserve.
Yes, we are all champions of
Recovery in how we nurture
Ourselves and others
Because in God’s eyes we are
All sisters and brothers.

Eyes that reflect the love and soften
The hearts of broken souls
A smile that casts the beauty
Of your gentle spirit
So many gifts to give
So many lives you touch
Bring hope where there is none
Lighting the way to a future
A bright star guiding
Those who have lost their way
Drying tears with compassion
To a world that cries out in despair
Your faith to those huddled in fear

Laughter Fills Her Eyes STACIE GIFFORDF O R S A L E
Laughter fills her eyes
No more secrets no more lies
She now knows who’s to blame
For all the sorrow
And all her shame
She no longer hides
Nor feels the need
He can no longer hold her
Victim to his greed
She has fought the battle
She is still winning the war
She is now enthusiastic
As to what life has in store
She no longer feels a need to die
She has rid herself of these thoughts
Never more to come to mind
He has lost his power
She has found her strength
She will never again
Allow her spirit to break

Thought’s Emotions LAuRA ADELmANF O R S A L E
Introspective thoughts swirling in my brain
I wonder when they would regain
Their hold upon my tangled emotions
Contradicting past motivations
To catch a thought mid sentence
Rewind it to its timid entrance
Analyze what it may mean
Restructure contexts, mending seams
But in the end it does not matter
Emotions rule over endless chatter
A happy pitter-patter grows
And in the end you know it knows
What introspective thoughts remain
Will fall like subtle, thoughtless rain

It’s Christmas time, and time to rhyme,
Cause we all need carols, and lots of barrels ...
OF LAUGHTER AND LOVE! Have some good fun, don’t be so

won’t last. The fighting, the quarrels, That only
break up our worlds ... OF LAUGHTER AND LOVE!
I forget to laugh—do you? Why do you wanna be so blue?
Please Mr. Postman—send me something, That brings out
the best in everything. Everything in you and me,

Why do we all wear a mask
Why can’t we just be ourselves?
Can’t we be the way we are
And shine like the brightest star!
Every star is different
So shine, shine with confidence!
How many masks do we need
Can we just be you and me?
Sometimes when you’re in front of a crowd
You wear a mask that’s very loud!
Then when you are by yourself
You wear a mask that’s like a mouse.
Are you like a quiet mouse
Too scared to come out the house?
Or are you crazy and wild
Tell me what you’re tryin’ to hide!
Just be yourself
Be yourself!
If you don’t disguise yourself
They will like you just as well.
Dare to be different if that’s who you are
There’s a beautiful person that needs to be found
You don’t need a mask and either do I
Let’s just love ourselves and look inside.

An oasis in the desert and a lamp in the darkness
You give me water and
My soul is fed

You are my sister in spirit
We are sisters together in body
Through the joys and triumphs
To share a laugh and a joke, you are always there
I soar in my spirit
You help me to fly
I will always be there for you when you tire
and are weary
This is a giant heart for you
I love you, Friend.

When the Weeping Willow Cries ANONymOuSN O T F O R S A L E
The legend of the willow treeIs known across the land
A spirit ~ hidden deep withinThat weeps for a love so grand
Fair maiden walked along the bankOf the river running wild
Enjoying ~ treasured momentsAs she frolicked like a child
Beyond horizon glowing brightIn the warming heat of sun
Was her true love ~ to meet herTo join her in her fun
How wondrous was their love to seeAs they romped with sheer delight
Entwined within their passionNo worries ~ within their sight
One day a call did beckonAnd fair maiden’s love so true
Was summoned into battleThere was nothing he could do
Days they passed ~ and nights were longFor the lovely maiden fair
As she sat down by the riverOh, her grief was hard to bear
Shielded ~ beneath the willowShe waited for her true love
Leaning against its roughened barkThe limb swayed low ~ from up above
The days ~ turned into weeksThen the weeks ~ turned into years
She realized her love was lostAnd hope turned to bitter tears
They say the mighty willow treeCould not bear to hear her cry
So it bent to wrap its flowing limbsAround her ~ with a sigh
To this day ~ the legend goesHer spirit lives ~ there deep inside
Hidden within the willow treeThat weeps for a love that died………..
When the weeping willow cries
When the Weeping Willow Cries
Yesterday STACIE GIFFORDF O R S A L E
If you asked me yesterday
What I desire most
I would tell you readily
I would vanish as a ghost
However, today is new
and whichever way I choose
It’s entirely up to me
To paint a different view
Of the type of life
With which I will follow through
It is up to me
As to how I respond to life
To either put on a smile
Or grasp firmly to the knife
I can choose to die
Or I can choose
A new song to sing
Whichever I choose
New consequences
It will bring
Either sorrow and strife
Or a whole new
Process of mind
The question remains
Will I choose to give up
This new mind I have found
To the influence and passions
or other peoples’ sounds
yesterday
Mended Heart STACIE GIFFORDF O R S A L E
mended Heart
Mended heart
Hopeful dreams
The life I’ve left behind
Wasn’t meant for me
I have a whole new
Untraveled road
And my experience
Will help me reach my goal
I will speak out
Loud and clear
There won’t be anything
More to fear
I open my arms wide
For your embrace
For the evil and the sinister
Are a dying race
Losing a Loved one
The death of a loved one is shocking to your heart
Losing someone is a tragedy that tears me apart
You never truly get over a loss of a loved one
My tears are dripping down my face cause of this loss
The reaction is when you hear someone died no it can’t be true
You’re too young to die not you
We never truly understand why some lives are shorter than others
Theirs meaning of all the time loving you even more now you’re gone
Emphasis on the joys you brought to the world and you had so much to give
There’s no reason why you can’t live
The loss of you I can’t stand the thought of you not here
Missing your laughter and friendship that you brought to so many lives
Missing you so much I want you still to be near my side
Let the truth be known that when you died it hurt my insides
You enlightened so many in your life
To sum it up it wasn’t enough time we spent with each other
Losing a Loved One ANONymOuSN O T F O R S A L E
Loved One ANONymOuSN O T F O R S A L E
Loved one
Toasting over a fire was my desire
I waited all these years for your sweet gentle touch and I’m no liar
Your soft tender lips to engage in a juicy kiss
And hug to top it off
It’s such a good feeling that perks me up to be with you
You’re the one I truly admire it’s true
I’m gasping for air because you take my breath away in so many ways
With you my love I am completely fulfilled
Lying in the bed next to you brings trembles up my spine
Waiting eagerly for you is such a incredible feeling that you’re mine
I know you were the match when I met your eyes
I would travel the world to find you
Your kindness it’s a twinkle in my eye that inspires the love I found
Our togetherness shows our relationship is so bound
Our love is captured within my heart
You’re always on my mind because you’re the only one I’ll ever love
Storm Brewing ANONymOuSN O T F O R S A L E
Storm Brewing
Nature takes its course
It’s a storm and it’s taking a turn for the worse
In the beginning the rain was pounding
My attention is focused on the road conditions
The wind is picking up and it’s starting to thunder and lighting
Now hard to drive with it hailing
Driving in this kind of hail is next to impossible
No idea of how long it will last
If the rain hand hail continue the accidents can’t be prevented
This is the way the weather issue is headed
Finally the hail is slowing down
And the sun has popped out
This particular kind of weather slows down or stops you finally
have a sense of relief
Everyone after a severe storm is over their fear is gone and they
have no more grief
Never want to experience this nightmare again
The storm that ended with no casualties it’s a blessing

When a man has to put a marker to cardboard,
he’s making a sign.
And it’s not necessarily something you and me
can define.
When a man puts a marker to cardboard he’s
being as humble as can be,
Because of what he’s asking … of you and me.
He’s got maybe him and a family to support
But he lost his home from a poor credit report.
So he and they are now down and out on
the street,
And then it’s you and him, on the corner
where you’ll meet.
He’s not really asking anything of your time,
What he really does need is just a spare dime.
You may disregard him for what it’s all worth,
And pass him on by, … while you’re on His turf …
But consider this and consider this hard
No matter your opinion, his life hangs on that card.
What it is you belive to be true,
Exalt this man, it could easily be or be you
Or … it just may even be … Jesus …
the King of The Jews
Untitled 2
Words of Wit-ness DEAN CIOkIEwICzF O R S A L E
A fear can only be present when humans are. Kinda like the boogeymen.
You don’t let boogeymen direct your life, do you
A negative relies on fear and embellishment of that fear by it’s victim.
A negative is only as strong as we make it … and only has as many friends as we allow them to have.
Positives are exactly the same, only hide better because they have rewards.
Our hurdles double as the registrar of our graces to come.
Testing fate will only bring high scores for the student and inevitably fail the teacher.
Odds are, as negatives exist, by and largely more abundant than their counterpart,
yet easily overcome by perseverance, attitude and faith.
Drop old, trust new … then do … do … do … this is change!
If you walk with yourself for 10 miles … You’ll have traveled 20.
Take that walk with Jesus … you’ll have gone a million.
If you wish to collect twigs for this practice nest here on earth, go for it … I have future plans.
Words of Wit-ness

The world differs to every single
soul on earth from our perceptions
and perspectives, hence, leaving each
with a completely different reality.
When do we HAVE to become Responsible? Whence we realize just who we are!
Say something profound …
And make someone think …
Do something profound …
And make someone blink …
Write something profound …
You won’t be wasting ink.
When we fail to plan we must plan to fail.
Caregiving is sharegiving.
Our Ship DEAN CIOkIEwICzF O R S A L E
our Ship
Poem CommentaryThis one came up and out on a fly … about seven minutes all tolled in writing it. Inspirations are powerful and crazy anomalies that are completely inexplicable to me and all “know is I love every single one of ‘em” … DeanPeter
When do we know when our ship has come in? when do we feel we’ve earned our reward?
The ship was sailing out on the sea, waiting for the day it comes to shore.
The ship comes to each in a different way, and it comes the moment we’re ready, not a second before.
She abides out on the tide lurking in the distant wind, patiently waiting for our lives to begin.
Only she knows that particular moment in time, when we and God’s plan begins to define.
Define who we are and our own little niche and gain the keys to the kingdom of wisdom
like the loaves and the fish.
We actually see our ships before they ever come to moor and tie up to our docks.
But it takes all we can implore and to think outside that box, to go from Human to heaven to
see our own paradox and behaviors to see who we really are just so we can sail off somewhere
toward that Eastern star … Yes, when our ships do come in we start
to realize that are ships are our Creator … just dressed in disguise.
The Forest DEAN CIOkIEwICzF O R S A L E
The Forest
To gently walk deep within the limbs and leaves may grab you.
But the carriage is racing fast in the lane,
you wonder now … ”what have you?”
The trivial dew falls upon your arm and hair that seams around your eyes, wells up in the
evening air … and you wonder now … they’ve found you by surprise.
As the hooves all stall in divots of grass and leaves wanting winter,
you dive upon the rabbit’s lair, with none but just one splinter.
The voices calling all around and fading in the eve, you think to self …
“what could I have done to make them all believe.”
“I’m just one man with work to do … to fulfill his calling”
But with all your heart you can’t sustain and the wind fills with yer bawling.
The demons come from miles around to see the catch of the day.
But with your mighty sword and shield, you keep them all at bay.
Dumbfounded strength and faith shall win the war between the two.
As you see the forest for the trees … all becomes a new.
NEVER ponder the power of FAITH … when things become askew!
When you leave the forest of thought and worry, you’ll take a grace or two!
Vessel of Love DEAN CIOkIEwICzF O R S A L E
Once we realize what love really means,
It spreads like wildfire … or so it seams.
It can come in life … at any age,
Or any stage.
And we find that love is the alpha
to the omega named rage.
How did love get here, into our hearts?
Well, here is my version of how it all starts.
It begins with a void of a yearning if you will,
It comes from watching how those around us feel.
Then Jealousy, curiosity and the questions appear.
And the thought of never knowing it fills us with fear.
We then set this idea down deep in our mind,
until one day we practice the concept called “kind”.
Another one is empathy then comes the sympathy.
That’s usually followed by a huge epiphany.
Suddenly we find we are out of ourselves, and placing
selfishness up on a the shelves and into another,
be it the needs of a friend … the loss of a brother.
The concerns as father … or worries of a mother.
We begin to understand that CARING is NOT a hassle.
It comes from one building their own castle.
For months, sometimes years, our emotions may wrestle,
Until the moment we accept … our very own love vessel.

Please listen to me
not only hear
I say I think I’m going crazy
you laugh
and say I’m fine
You weren’t listening
Listen to what I am telling you
I feel crazy
I don’t trust my mind
I’m confused by the things I feel
How can I be fine
I’m losing my grip
on reality
everything scares me
my thoughts attack
What is left of my sanity
everything is falling apart
I AM NOT FINE!
Listen! Then you might
understand.
