Un controlled mitotic cell divisions result in the formation ofTumors, it is known as Cancer.

There are two kinds of tumours : 1.harmful tumors-Malignant Tumour and 2.un harmful tumors-Benign Tumour.

Based on the tissue of organs effected by cancer there are three types:1)Carcinoma: Epithelial Tissue. ex. Lungs, breasts, pancreas, stomach2)Sarcoma: ex. Muscular tissue ,lymph glands.3)Leukemia: Blood ex: WBC

4.What are Carcinogenic agents? How many types are there?Give examples.

The agents that cause the cancer are called “Carcinogenic agents”.There Are 3 types of carcinogenic agents. viz. i)Physical agents ex. X-rays ii)Chemical agents ex. Aflotoxins .DDT, Tobacco and iii)Biological agents. Ex. Viruses.

5.What are the parts commonly effected by cancer in woman?

In woman the most commonly effected parts are uterus and Breast.

6.What are the parts commonly effected by cancer in man?

In man the most commonly effected parts are lungs, mouth and Throat.

Preventive measures of Cancer:1.Avoid smoking.2.Avoid chewing tobacco, Gutka.3.Avoid liquor.4.Take balanced diet.5.Do physical exercise regularly.

1.Removal of effected organ by operation. (Surgery)2.Killing of cells by X-Rays,ال-Rays.( radiation therapy)3.By using medicines. (chemotherapy)
