Ballarat ResidencesResidences are located across Ballarat, and offer a mix of accommodation options including flexible catering, units, houses, apartments, on-campus, off-campus…..make sure you look into all options, to ensure you find the best fit for you.

Located at the Mt Helen campus and surrounded by natural bushland, Peter Lalor Hall provides accommodation in single bedrooms with shared facilities. Peter Lalor residents are also only a short walk to class.

A central courtyard provides barbeque facilities, landscape surrounds and a pleasant setting for outdoor activities and leisure.

Bella Guerin Hall is also located on the Mt Helen Campus in a pleasant native bushland setting. The units in Bella Guerin Hall are separate two-storey buildings with shared kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities. A central quadrangle with an undercover barbeque area is often widely used for recreation and unit functions.

Camp Street is situated in the heart of Ballarat. The apartments and ensuite studio rooms are located above the University’s lecture halls, studios and galleries. The residences include ensuite studio rooms with kitchenettes and four bedroom units with fully equipped kitchen and common area. Many rooms also have balcony access with breathtaking views over Ballarat and district. Residences have access to a large communal kitchen and living area, laundry and undercover parking.

Victoria Street Residence is situated on the main entrance road into Ballarat from Melbourne, is only 5 minutes from the SMB and Camp Street Campuses and very close to public transport to the Mt Helen Campus.

Options available include large bed/study rooms as well as single ensuite rooms.

Located only minutes from the Mt Helen Campus, Jemacra Place is an ideal location, close to public transport as well as a shopping centre with supermarket, chemist, butcher and post office.

This student community consists of five and six bedroom houses each with 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, living, dining and laundry facilities, paved outdoor area with pergola and landscaped gardens.

Ideally suited to postgrad students, Elsworth Street is conveniently located with easy access to all Ballarat campuses. Elsworth offers studio, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom self contained apartments, undercover parking, and large communal lounge area.

North Residences are located immediately adjacent to the main campus, and offer two room layout options – standard and ensuite.Residents have access to shared common facilities including fully equipped kitchen, lounge, bathroom and laundries. Each floor has a separate toilet and shower as well as a washing machine and clothes dryer.

South Residences have flexible room layout options including standard and large rooms. The lounge, bathroom and kitchen facilities are shared between residents. Accessible rooms with ensuite facilities are also available. The residence is located only minutes walk to class and other on-campus services.

Residences are located on-campus, and offer a number of different accommodation options, providing for individual living requirements, preferences and tastes. Options available include larger rooms, ensuites and shared facilities.

Gippsland Residences

West Residences provide fully furnished self-contained units, each with six private bedrooms and shared facilities.

Each unit includes a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, bathroom and laundry for residents. The west residential units provide a friendly community environment for residents to live and study.

Halls of Residence provides students with a modern and environmentally friendly living option. The complex provides a variety of living options including standard, ensuite and mobility access bedroom layout options in addition to spacious shared kitchen and living spaces.
