1st CircularThe thermodynamic study of chemical equilibria represents the core of many importantbranches of Chemistry.Speciation modelling based on chemical equilibrium data is commonly used as a predictivetool for the behaviour of compounds in different systems, and it thus represents an invaluableresource in a wide range of applications with high economic and technological impact: toimprove the performance of commercial products; to disclose the mobility of pollutants andtoxicants in the environment; to optimize industrial processes; to support and explain themode of action of biologically active substances. Furthermore, advanced cutting-edgethermodynamic evidence yields deeper insights into the mechanisms of all these interactions.NECTAR combines the expertise of a large community of specialists working in this fieldwithin a vivid network based on the stimulating collaboration between them, promotingknowledge exchange, and thriving to achieve further technological progress. The outstandingquality of gathered results will serve as an innovative benchmark for next decades, allowingtheir application in a variety of areas and surely impacting life quality of next generations.More than a scientific workshop where the main results obtained within several workinggroups involved in NECTAR are presented, the 2nd European NECTAR Conference will be amoment of joyful reencounter, invigorating in-person scientific discussion and deepenedengagement, all this with the outstanding "Lisbon light" as host and one of the most beautifulEuropean cities as background.

People from NECTAR member countries are asked to submit an abstract of their

intended contribution, as poster or oral communication, to the following address

[email protected] until July 23rd, 2021.

Abstracts must be submitted following the abstract template available at

https://cost-nectar.eu/pages/2nd_am.html .

Selected contributors will receive a formal invitation by NECTAR and will participate

in the meeting with full coverage of expenses by NECTAR. Please note that to be

eligible you must comply with COST rules and submit a registration form that will be

sent before the Conference. Invited people will have 10 days after receiving the

invitation email to accept.

After 10 days, invitation will be cancelled.

The event will be held in Instituto Superior Técnico, Alameda Campus, at theCongress Center (CC) auditorium. The CC is located in Civil Engineering building,floor 01 and 02 (south). The WG meetings, as well as Poster sessions, will be held inthe same building.
