Q. I have a smartphone but I don’t have a PC. Should I buy one?

A. It is possible to join class using only a smartphone, but we strongly recommend you prepare a

PC. Some classes may require group work or use of Microsoft Word or Excel. It is possible use of

these functions will be limited when using a smartphone.

Q. I don’t have any equipment. What should I do?

A. If necessary, you can borrow equipment from the university.

Try the following to ensure you have a stable connection:• If you use Wi-Fi to connect, try using a wired LAN connection

※If your PC does not have a LAN port, there are adapters available that can convert a USB port to LAN

• If it is difficult to set up a wired connection, try sitting as close as possible to your Wi-Fi router

• Close any applications or programs that are not being used in class

Q. How much data do I need?

A. It varies by case, but in general we expect 3 – 5 MB per minute, or 300 MB for a 95 minute

class. (This may be larger or smaller based on class content.) If you turn off your camera data

usage will drop. Please follow your teacher’s instructions in turning your video On / Off.
