Chapter 1Klaus pov

I follow my mother in the woods. She has been suspitouse lately and I wanted to know why she has been going out into the woods lately. I see her go into an old cabin. 1 minute later I follow and see her look at a body in a black nightgown chained to the wall. The girls matted brown hair hangs over her face and her wrists are dislocated from being hanged. “he must not find out about you” my mother murmurs. The girl whimpers “who cant find out about me? why am I here? Who are you”

she whispers. “if he finds out about his mate her will be unstopable” my mom tells herself. “who will?” the girl cries out. “my son niklaus. You are his mate and he can not have you” my mother hisses and slaps her. I just notice she looks as if she has been abused for days or even weeks. I feel rage. How could my mother keep this from me? my mate. And abuse

her to? I wait till she leaves and walk in. I look at the girl who is unconciouse and hanging on the wall. I snap the chains and she falls into my arms. I feel a connection instantly and a overprotective

feeling washes over me. I run to my house and into my room and sit on the arm chair. She starts to sqirm and she starts freaking out her heart beating wildly. “hey shh its ok I got you your safe” I tell her. she stiffens but relaxes. I put my hand on her back but she flinches. I get angry again at the tought of my mother keeping her from me and causing her to be afraid of being touch in fear of being hit.vit made me more angry that she caused this reaction out of my preciouse little mate. I burrie my face in her neck and smell her scent. She smells like watermelon and rain a wounderful and calming scent. I

feel a wave of calm wash over me. she stiffens again but relaxes and snuggles into my chest. I have her sitting on my lap with her chest against my stomach and her head snuggled in my chest. I kiss her hair and put my head on top

of hers. I pick her up and carry her to my bed I lay down and

move her so she is snuggled into my side. Her tiny hand is clenched into a fist and lying against my chest. I close my eyes and fall asleep to the rythum of my preciouse little mates heartbeat.

Chapter 2Cody pov

I wake up wrapped in warmth. I almost forgot how warmth felr. I felt warm muscular arms around

me witch is weaird. I felt like I was wrapped in a warm muscular but sof cloud. Im not cold and my back isnt against a stone wall so I start freaking out my hear beating faster it feels like I am having a heart attack. I feel the muscular arms around me tighten in almost a comforting matter. I hear a deep british male voice whispering sooting thing telling me im safe and its ok. I open my eye only to be met with deep blue eyes and blonde hair.

Klaus pov

I feel a heart beating really fast and a body shaking nex to me. I open my eyes and see the brown haired girl who I have

come to kmow as my mate looking apsoulutly terrified. Her face twists with a look of horror and fear. I tighten my arms around her and whisper soothing words telling her she’s pk and that she is safe now. Her eyes flutter open and the most beautiful stormy grey eyes stare into my deep blue ones. I take notice to her features now. She has beautiful dark coffee brown hair that is naturally curly and has light freakles dusting her cheaks and

nose. Her lips are a soft pink and her skin is a pale color and very soft. Her cheeks have a natural pink tinge to it and her cute button nose and soft jaw line fir with her long slender neck that defines her features.
